BBTing our way to a BFP in August 🎉

Hi all!
My body has begun a new cycle in its quest to torture me with cycles that are getting a day longer at a time 😅 so I thought I'd see if anyone wants to join me in BBT charting this month!

DH and I are currently TTC #1, we started in June so are on CD1 of cycle #3 now and I wanted to start doing something a bit more to track without feeling like I'm constantly peeing on some kind of stick 😂 I've previously tried charting in April and May to prevent pregnancy but I hadn't quite got the hang of it yet so the charts were a bit all over the place. My chart since restarting BBT on Sunday already seems a lot more stable than it was last time so hopefully it'll give me some more info this time!

@Ncl31 oh sorry to hear they were so shitty at the doctor's. That looks like EWCM so worth BDing just in case and seeing what happens!

@Hotmalibu94 only 1dpo now so planning to test sometime around the 2/3 September although DH will be going to his parents all that weekend so might have to wait till he is back. So about 11-12dpo otherwise will have to be 13dpo. Or could be adventurous and try 10dpo before he goes 😂

Hope everyones had a good evening, I finishing work at 6.30. Ended up surprising the DH today... he was totally shocked and over the moon and he loved my way of suprising him🙈

@Ncl31 Im so sorry to hear your experience with the GP. It deffo does look like ewcm but u could also do ovulation test? Everyone has there own preferance but I do find them alot easier to use. This is the first cycle I used ovulation strips and it actually worked for me 🥹🥹.

@CatiaR You could always test whilst hes gone and have a suprise ready for him when hes back. Its the hardest thing keeping it a secret but honestly so worth it to see there reactions.

@Myna13 When are you going to testing, im really excited to see many more BFPs. 💖

@Huriya i done one at that time of the EWCM and it showed as high. So I’m not sure, they’re not great with PCOS though as you get false highs. I’ve been doing BBT with Ovusense and there was a drop this morning so it’ll be interesting to see what happens tomorrow.

I did a pregnancy test yesterday and still have a very faint positive- I’m going to take another on Friday and hope that will be a proper negative! BBT has been back down consistently below the cover line for 5 days now though so that’s a good sign, and there was possibly the beginning of EWCM today so hopefully this cycle is finally getting going!

Morning everyone. @Hotmalibu94 sorry you’re out this month. I don’t have any symptoms to speak of and cervix feels low at 11dpo. AF due tomorrow so will test at the weekend if still no AF. Not expecting to get a BFP, but not feeling too disappointed (yet). I’d also love a June/summer baby and I know the odds for each month are only about 30% at best. I’ll keep you all updated, but full expect we’ll be onto the next cycle.

7dpo today, and I'm feeling a little crampy - like how I get on my period. Could that be implantation? Who knows!
@Hotmalibu94 Last cycle I started to test around now and it really disappointed me. So going to try and hold off on testing as long as possible! Ideally, I'm going to wait until 14dpo, but if I just can't wait any longer I might end up testing over the weekend (9/10dpo)😅

Im 8dpo today temp still high but I can’t say I’ve had any symptoms, the last few months I convinced myself of symptoms that I don’t even know were real symptoms! Going to test at 10DPO or 11DPO just to check. I have had a few cramps but nothing out of the ordinary. If this month isn’t my month we are going to pause for a month and try again in October!

Who all is testing over the weekend?

I heard a lot of people don't have much symptoms and some do so who knows! fingers crossed for you 😄I think @Myna13 might test at the weekend too?

I'm about a week behind you all, at 2DPO. Still a bit crampy off the back of ovulation so wouldn't say its anything this early but temps confirmed O-day and increased again today so hopefully it stays that way.

@CatiaR That sound’s super positive that your temp has stayed up! I was also a bit crampy at 2 & 3 DPO but assuming it was ovulation related, was hoping for more cramps so I could maybe guess implantation day! Fingers crossed for you!

@Biscuitbeann very close to me! I'm 7dpo today. I'm going to try and hold off testing until AF is due (30/08), but I might end up testing over the weekend if I can't help myself 😂

@Myna13 so my AF Iis due Monday, my cycle is usually 27/28 days and I usually get AF on 12DPO. I always worry that because my luteal phase is on the shorter end of normal that I’m less likely to get an early BFP? Not sure if that is how it works though

@Biscuitbeann I don't think your BFP depends on the length of your luteal phase. It's basically whenever you make enough HcG for it to show up on a test. So it really depends on when you implant. Implantation can happen anytime between 6-12dpo. So possibly earlier than later for you because you have a shorter luteal phase. A few days after implantation you should ideally be able to get a BFP. Sorry I don't really have a definite answer for you. But I don't think having a short luteal phase affects anything.

So today I’ve had really bad backache, got a breakout on my face and I want to eat all of the carbs in the world! no idea what is going on in my uterus right now!

Hey @Hotmalibu94 & co sorry been a bit MIA on mumsnet atm. Been trying to not stress so much about TTC in general. Been BBT-ing alongside doing SMEP on cycle day 24 atm and having all of my fingers and toes crossed. BBT seems to have risen and stable atm. 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

Caved this morning and done an internet cheapie- stark white BFN.. don’t know why I choose to test so early it always gets me down when I see a negative! Already telling myself that’s me out for this cycle!

@Biscuitbeann that temptation to test is so difficult to resist isn’t it. How many DPO are you? As I’m sure you’re fully aware. You’re not out until AF is here

@Ncl31 Im 9DPO, I know I might not even have implanted yet or late yesterday. We found out a friend of a friend was pregnant yesterday and I was so shocked when I felt a bit jealous, obviously super happy for them but just hoping it’ll be my turn soon 🤍

@Biscuitbeann you're not out until AF is here! Don't let the bfn get to you. Also, it's normal to feel a tiny bit of jealousy when you hear someone else has got the thing you've been trying so hard to get. The fact that you were shocked by it is a good thing. Because it means that isn't your usual response to situations like that. So feeling a little bit jealous this time doesn't make you a bad person. Hoping you get your BFP sooner rather than later. It'll be your turn soon!

It’s not my usual reaction to these things at all, and I really don’t want that to be the case going forward as I expect a lot of our friendship group will be having baby’s soon and I can’t wait to be an auntie to all their little ones!The other half was quick to remind me “you could be pregnant right now, and when our time is right our bundle of joy will come”

Hoping my emotional outburst was a symptom and not just PMS.. we shall find out on Monday! How are you feeling? Your 8DPO today right?
