Hi all!
My body has begun a new cycle in its quest to torture me with cycles that are getting a day longer at a time 😅 so I thought I'd see if anyone wants to join me in BBT charting this month!

DH and I are currently TTC #1, we started in June so are on CD1 of cycle #3 now and I wanted to start doing something a bit more to track without feeling like I'm constantly peeing on some kind of stick 😂 I've previously tried charting in April and May to prevent pregnancy but I hadn't quite got the hang of it yet so the charts were a bit all over the place. My chart since restarting BBT on Sunday already seems a lot more stable than it was last time so hopefully it'll give me some more info this time!

Please feel free to say hi below and introduce yourselves 😊 looking for as many friends as possible in this crazy world of TTC 💕

@Huriya that sounds a bit late to have your appointment but I have no clue how it works, I thought it was 6-7 weeks as well so perhaps its really busy.

@Hotmalibu94 for sure, we all went in opposite directions XD, certainly didn't expect to start my TWW near the end of my expected cycle but this month my body clearly decided it needed a longer 😄

Myna13 · 23/08/2023 08:43

@Hotmalibu94 happy anniversary! 🥳 and good luck for your next cycle. Hoping the next one is a lucky one for you 💛

@Huriya I know some medical professionals count weeks from CD1. So even if your clear blue says 1-2 weeks, you're technically like 4 weeks. Try and confirm that with the GP so maybe the appointment is sooner than you initially thought in your head.

Myna13 · 23/08/2023 08:44

@CatiaR welcome back to the TWW! Hoping your little eggy catches and you get your BFP in a few days time.

CatiaR · 23/08/2023 08:48

@Myna13 thank you! how many DPO you are now? I lost count! Surely you must be getting closer to being able to test! or are you waiting for AF? I'm going to try and do that but who knows, but certainly would like to wait this time till at least 11/12DPO if I can't wait for AF

thejollytrolleydolly · 23/08/2023 08:52

Morning all! Nothing yet! Just another brown streak but a bfn on a test! Either af is coming or I will get a BFP in a week 😂 xx

CatiaR · 23/08/2023 08:56

@thejollytrolleydolly oooh the suspense! it's so hard to keep being on limbo, hope you'll get an answer soon either way but sending baby dust your way ⭐

thejollytrolleydolly · 23/08/2023 09:06

@CatiaR I know 😂 I'm convinced it's af but it's taking it's damn time! I don't feel particularly periody though. I've got a little bit of backache but no cramps or any other af symptoms xx

Myna13 · 23/08/2023 09:13

@CatiaR 6DPO today. I genuinely want to wait until AF is due (30/08) to test. But I think I might test 10DPO (27/08) because I'm doing AEW (the new wrestling thing) with my husband on 27/08 and going to a bank holiday party on 28/08. It's not like I'm going to have a drink even if it is negative, because it's still too early to know for sure. But if I get an inkling it's positive, I think that high will keep me going through those 2 days 😂I know nothing about wrestling, but my husband loves it! And I bought these tickets back in June as a birthday present for him.

Myna13 · 23/08/2023 09:16

@thejollytrolleydolly that's a lot of suspense! I hope its just implantation and you get your BFP in a few days time. Not feeling period-ey is a good sign.

6DPO today, so I'm keeping an eye on any possible signs of implantation, whilst trying to find a balance and not go too mad symptom spotting. Not sure if these are symptoms, but I normally get 1 pimple at this point in my cycle. But I've got like 3 big ones and a trillion little ones. I've not had soo many spots since I was 14. I've also got a small cluster of spots that I've found on my back. Again, something I haven't had since I was 15-16. Feels like my hormones might be going wild 😅

CatiaR · 23/08/2023 09:39

@Myna13 ah yeah you did say, I probably would too to be fair, wrestling is foreign to me as well 😅

I don't tend to drink anyway so not a big issue to me but yeah
Hormones going wild sounds about right XD it's so hard

thejollytrolleydolly · 23/08/2023 10:08

@Myna13 it seems my body fooled me again! The witch has arrived properly this time! She just hasn't brought cramps with her so I guess I'm grateful for that! I think I'll go back to leaving it to fate again rather than actively trying as that seems to work better for me 😊 good luck to everyone else who is still in the tww I've got my fingers crossed for all of you ❤️❤️

Hotmalibu94 · 23/08/2023 10:11

Ahhh @thejollytrolleydolly sorry to hear that. Are you going to be sticking around or are we losing you? 😭

@thejollytrolleydolly I'm sorry to hear that. I know this can be so disappointing. I hope you conceive sooner rather than later. Sending love and best wishes your way ❤️

thejollytrolleydolly · 23/08/2023 10:48

@Myna13 thank you. I think I'm going to stop tracking everything and just go with the flow and see what happens. If it's meant to be it will be! If not I have some birthday cocktails waiting for me on holiday 😊🥂 xx

CatiaR · 23/08/2023 11:01

@thejollytrolleydolly awe sorry! Birthday cocktails it is 🍹

all the best for the next cycles I’m sure you’ll keep us up to date 😊

Ncl31 · 23/08/2023 14:40

So I have had my GP appointment and all I can say is wow! What a waste of my time & their time.
literally said “we won’t prescribe metformin for PCOS because it’s not licensed you need to loose weight”

Easier said than done dude!
So I’m now feeling even more down in the dumps about it all. Just had a massive cry.

Myna13 · 23/08/2023 14:53

@Ncl31 that's really disappointing news :( I'm so sorry you're feeling down. Here to chat if you need ❤

Ncl31 · 23/08/2023 15:23

Thanks @Myna13 i called my DH and he’s talked me round from it I think.
im about to walk out of the door and head to the gym and burn some calories! If I don’t do that I’ll just eat them and that’s not what I need right now.
I have however just been to pee and I have what I believe is EWCM…. See pic - TMI.

@Hotmalibu94 you might be right that I’ve just skipped ovulating for a month. When I checked Premom today should be the day they predict I’d ovulate so who knows what’s going on. We BD not yesterday but did twice on Monday. Might persuaded DH again tonight just incase.

@Ncl31 oh no that’s not very nice of the GP! They can be quite bad these days.. I went a couple weeks ago as I have hurt my hand a couple of months ago and still in pain and they fobbed me off to, didn’t even see actual GP just a nurse or something that told me very little and that’ll be in pain at least 18 months!

that does look like it could be EWCM to me, give it a try! 😊

fingers crossed for you 🤞

Myna13 · 23/08/2023 18:27

@Ncl31 that does look like EWCM. Definitely a good idea to BD just incase. Are you doing OPKs? They might help you keep track better.

@CatiaR I'm not a big fan of my GP too. I've got an autoimmune condition that was diagnosed when I was in india. Meds helped. But I needed a diagnosis here to get prescriptions here. GP didn't believe me and told me Indian docs were bogus and incentivised by pharmaceuticals because it's all private. Took me off meds 3 months. My condition obvs got tons worse! And then took the test and put me right back on it again because it was the right diagnosis. But it's set me back in terms of disease progression. They did do tests initially when they took me off the meds and that justified the cause and showed the meds were working. They just wanted to "make sure" my body reacted as predicted without the meds. So I've had to go through hell!

Ncl31 · 23/08/2023 18:35

@Myna13 i tried doing OPKs for a few months last year but because of PCOS they’re actually quite unreliable as you get surges and fluctuations in LH randomly.
I did however do one just before I go the EWCM and it was high, so I’m trying to hold as much as I can and going to do another later to see what it’s doing. But I’m not holding out much hope as like I said when I tried before I got really erratic results.

@CatiaR GPs can be a pain, I’m quite lucky I work with 2 very good gyno consultants, when I next see them in 2 weeks I’m going to ask them about it. I’m on one of their books, he keeps seeing me just in case I need anything then I don’t need a formal referral

Myna13 · 23/08/2023 18:37

@Ncl31 it's so good you have that medical support! Hope they're able to help.
I think if the OPKs aren't fully reliable, then it'll be worth just listening to your body and BDing. And then just hope for the best. Keeping my fingers crossed for you 🤞🏽

CatiaR · 23/08/2023 18:39

@Myna13 omg that’s very bad of them but glad you got your meds now

Ncl31 · 23/08/2023 18:41

@Myna13 yeah that’s the plan really. Just hope for the best.
ive got myself back into a routine of getting to the gym 3-4 times per week. Once I get my BMI to 35 I have to contact the fertility centre again to see if I’m eligible for the ovulation induction trial so that’s my focus now.

CatiaR · 23/08/2023 18:57

@Ncl31 thats good you got some support there! 3-4 days a week is great! You put me to shame , I only walk the dog 🙈

I don’t even bother telling ppl that my bachelors and masters was in sports cause I certainly am not as active anymore and my career went into a totally different area 😂

fingers crossed for you 🤞
