BBTing our way to a BFP in August 🎉

Hi all!
My body has begun a new cycle in its quest to torture me with cycles that are getting a day longer at a time 😅 so I thought I'd see if anyone wants to join me in BBT charting this month!

DH and I are currently TTC #1, we started in June so are on CD1 of cycle #3 now and I wanted to start doing something a bit more to track without feeling like I'm constantly peeing on some kind of stick 😂 I've previously tried charting in April and May to prevent pregnancy but I hadn't quite got the hang of it yet so the charts were a bit all over the place. My chart since restarting BBT on Sunday already seems a lot more stable than it was last time so hopefully it'll give me some more info this time!

@thejollytrolleydolly I have attempted to check my cervix last month and a few times this month but I could never reach it so gave up on that 😒

@Huriya this would be my first pregnancy too if I get lucky so have no frame of reference either but for sure last month I had symptoms and it was all in my head as I normally never feel anything so hopefully yours are indicating a positive result!

@pinkmarshmalloww speak to a GP maybe they will check it out

@Ncl31 nothing easy about working in the NHS, good luck with your RTW I'm sure you will be ok, its great to have good colleagues 😄

Thank you so much. This will be my second one if everything goes well and I feel happy but worried at the same time because I had HG with my first pregnancy and it was a pretty dark time for me which is why it has taken me nearly 5 years to decide to have a second one. With my last pregnancy I had a bfp way earlier than this though and the first symptom was nausea. I really hope to reading more updates with bfp from all of you 🙏

@Ncl31 I hope your return to work goes well! Try to have a nice relaxing weekend to prepare.

@pinkmarshmalloww if you're concerned re endo maybe try and speak to your doctor's ❤️ hopefully it's just the way your body is and nothing else but best to check if you can.

@thejollytrolleydolly @CatiaR I just tried feeling my cervix, tried a few times before but never sure what I'm feeling 😂 I think it's high and soft though so 🤞 that's a good sign?

@Hotmalibu94 being high is a good sign but I could never properly "find it" and same wasn't sure what I was feeling apart from that I could never reach anything so gave up on that

@Huriya I'm probably not the best person to explain that, I was never able to actually feel anything or is always really high XD @thejollytrolleydolly you may be able to explain better?

@Huriya as I said I'm not even sure I'm feeling the right thing but I'm sure it's different to how I've felt it before 😂 I've followed this:
'With your palm facing up, guide your longest finger carefully into your vagina (lube can come in handy here). Feel for a round, raised circle with a dimple in the middle — it's most likely to be at the top of the front vaginal wall (closer to your belly button than to your back)'

I'm sure mine is higher and softer than last time I tried.

I think I'm feeling the right thing as I felt the dimple both times, this time it's so soft that the dimple is hard to feel so 🤞

It's easier to find it when you're due on because it's really hard and pretty low. When you're ovulating it basically blends in with the rest of your vagina so it's really hard to find. I can only know what it is because I can find the opening of it but it's taken a while to get to know it! Mines currently high and facing towards the back and medium firm. It's not as firm as when I'm due on but definitely not soft. It feels like a ball basically x

Thinking back to previously, when I was pregnant before the only symptom that I seemingly noticed was back pain which i remember being quite severe (similar to now). We can only hope that this is a similar sort of back pain 🤞 that time I had this sort of back pain about 5 days before my positive test which (if it correlated to now) would be about 2 days before AF. Still going to try to stay positive and say maybe I'm one of those who gets implantation back ache rather than cramps 😅

I caved in and tested obviously BFN 😭

@Huriya don't worry! With both of my pregnancies I only had a squinter on 13dpo so you've still got ages! Don't give up hope ❤️ xx

Thanks ladies, I wish i didnt test tbh. I checked both OPK and HCG.
OPK has come down to almost nothing again.

It doesn't mean anything yet @Huriya, wait a few days maybe. When is AF due?

My back pain was very reminiscent of sciatica or something. Really sharp shooting pain that started in my lower back and spread down my left leg - it almost made my leg give way a couple of times.
And then it was a bit duller but still pretty sharp pains today, and now it's really suddenly reduced to just a twinge.
Not sure if I'm looking into things a bit too much but maybe that was some sort of implantation pain?

How is everyone else getting on this not so sunny Friday?

@Hotmalibu94 AF is due next Thurs/Fri. I know its pretty early but you know when you see that negative it just naturally makes you feel disheartened. My OH has threatened to hide the tests from me and not give them till next week lol.

It sounds like it possibly could be.. although ive never come across with sciatica coming so early on but you never know. Hope the pain subsides for you soon x

@Huriya I know, that's why I don't let myself test early anymore 😔 let the DH hide the tests and wait and see what happens with AF 💕

@Huriya for sure it’s disheartening to see the bfns and I hated it so no matter how hard it is to resist I can’t look at bfns all the time.
