BBTing our way to a BFP in August 🎉

Hi all!
My body has begun a new cycle in its quest to torture me with cycles that are getting a day longer at a time 😅 so I thought I'd see if anyone wants to join me in BBT charting this month!

DH and I are currently TTC #1, we started in June so are on CD1 of cycle #3 now and I wanted to start doing something a bit more to track without feeling like I'm constantly peeing on some kind of stick 😂 I've previously tried charting in April and May to prevent pregnancy but I hadn't quite got the hang of it yet so the charts were a bit all over the place. My chart since restarting BBT on Sunday already seems a lot more stable than it was last time so hopefully it'll give me some more info this time!

@thejollytrolleydolly the itchy scalp towards the crown i had that in the morning felt like aftershocks of someone whos yanked my hair out from the roots. I didnt think much of it then but now youve mentioned it, it could be a symptom.

@Huriya how funny that you've had that too! It must be related! It was so weird just out of nowhere the whole of my scalp felt like there was ants crawling all over it and then it just vanished again! Bizarre! X

@thejollytrolleydolly @Huriya when you say the scalp itching might be a symptom of hormone fluctions it makes soo much sense because I have that every month a few days before I ovulate. Sometimes it can keep me up for hours in the night, just itching. And then it'll feel really raw the next day. Glad it only lasted half hour or so for you guys.
I hope this is a good sign for you both!

Opks remains low ish for me and CM is now yellowish sticky and mostly dry so I’d like to think that I have indeed ovulated yesterday but only time will tell! AF is not due till the 29th so onto TWW we go 😂

@Myna13 bodies are strange things aren't they?! 😂

@CatiaR that sounds promising! Would you say today is your 1dpo then? X

@thejollytrolleydolly I’m assuming it is! While not a clear positive which leaves me unsure everything else seemed to align.

I’m keeping the daily opks to establish my whole cycle and if anything else changes but hopefully that was it.

not super hopeful about this cycle as I’m not 100% sure I actually ovulated but I’ve definitely covered my bases.

BBT might give me a better clue as its been a bit more stable (give or take the odd decrease and increase since our UK weather can’t decide if its summer or not 😂)

7 DPO- BFN i know its too early yet but i feel like am already out this cycle. Why did i even check😭

@Huriya noooo this is why checking so early is a terrible idea! You'd have implanted yesterday at the earliest, give it a hot minute 😅

6dpo here, implanting any time from now with luck! 🤞

@Huriya its still early! I did the same last month and it was the worst decision ever, for me waiting was less worse than the disappointment.

Good morning! 8dpo here, tested this morning it was either a bfn or too light to see properly. That's fine, I'll keep testing just incase. I feel really tired, achy and grumpy today. Fell asleep at 8pm last night and didn't get up until nearly 7! Got DD at home today so have booked us into soft play to kill 2.5 hours 😂 wish me luck xx

@thejollytrolleydolly Are you also doing OPKs? If your LH levels are increasing that maybe a good sign

I'm just incredibly tired but I think its just that work has been a bit of a nightmare this week.

@Hotmalibu94 2DPO, nothing much to report here, BBT gone up a little and will see what the opk tells me later :)

Good morning everyone, I am 8/9 dpo and this morning on clear blue I got a very slight line which you need a phone torch to be able to see. A couple of days ago when I tested, it was a bfn not even a evapline. In my last pregnancy when I had hg throughout, I tested way earlier and got a faint line very early so I'm kind of hoping if I'm pregnant this time, I hope it would be nausea and sick free. @CatiaR looking at your charts, it does look like you've had a peak and then LH went down again. Not everyone has a super high peak. Also, there's the chance that you missed your peak by a few hours and only tested when it was going back down again? We can't tell for sure. You had all the right signs in terms of EWCM and BBT. So don't worry about it too much! Good luck on the TWW! :)

@Huriya aww, don't be disheartened. You're only 7dpo. Maybe try not to test for a few days and then test again? You're not out until AF comes!

@thejollytrolleydolly sometimes you just need to listen to your body and go to bed when it tells you to. It's hard working making a baby (or even just trying). Hoping you see your BFP super soon!

@Onegoingonmaybe2 I do see a faint line on your test! Soo exciting. Did it come up within 10 mins? Just asking because I had 2 very disappointing evap lines on ClearBlue's last cycle. Either way, test again in a few days and keep us updated! :) Hoping your line gets darker

I'll be joining you guys (very late) on the TWW tomorrow (finally!)!!. I hit my peak yesterday, and the app says I ovulate today. BD yesterday and this morning to cover all bases. Will try and BD again this evening and tomorrow just incase. But doing it every day for this extended period of time is tiring. Horny 19 year old would be disappointed at what I've become 😂

@Huriya I haven't actually I stopped a few days ago maybe I should do one this afternoon and see because my tests before were almost blank!

@Onegoingonmaybe2 I agree with what @Myna13 has said above. Ive also had evaps on CB tests. It is a really exciting time maybe you could do a digital or first rssponse test x

Guys Ive done my OPK of the day and ive noticed its gradually getting darker. Not sure what this means tho but a few days ago there was hardly anything there! Il attach a SC. According to the premom app LH levels should have been decreasing even more gradually but mines the opposite?

@Myna13 and @Huriya it came up in 10 mins but I've ordered first response tests and test it on that. I can't seem to find first response tests anywhere.

@Hotmalibu94 Ive googled it and apparantly increased lh doesnt indicate pregnancy as lh levels should be quite low and not the other way round. So not sure whats happening tbh.
