BBTing our way to a BFP in August 🎉

Hi all!
My body has begun a new cycle in its quest to torture me with cycles that are getting a day longer at a time 😅 so I thought I'd see if anyone wants to join me in BBT charting this month!

DH and I are currently TTC #1, we started in June so are on CD1 of cycle #3 now and I wanted to start doing something a bit more to track without feeling like I'm constantly peeing on some kind of stick 😂 I've previously tried charting in April and May to prevent pregnancy but I hadn't quite got the hang of it yet so the charts were a bit all over the place. My chart since restarting BBT on Sunday already seems a lot more stable than it was last time so hopefully it'll give me some more info this time!

5dpo today and woken up fairly congested. Still sore boobs but I think this normally lasts until AF arrives. We shall see!

BFN this morning which was fully expected. Looking forward to the GP appointment next week now, just hoping they will give me something to help regulate my periods.

Morning everyone. Officially 1-2DPO after my extra long surge 😅 how is everyone doing?

Morning! @Huriya 7dpo and negative test today. I swore I saw something as the colour started going through it but then it had disappeared by the time it dried. Oh well! Not symptoms at all today 😂 will update if anything changes xx

@thejollytrolleydolly Im so tempted to test but im only 6DPO really trying to hold off till 8DPO. What pregnancy tests are you using?

@Huriya I'm just using the wondfo ones from Amazon. They had good reviews and I saw that they picked up hcg really early so I thought I would give them a go! They are cheap too so good for my poas addiction 😂😂 I look forward to my test every morning just incase I get a surprise haha! X

@thejollytrolleydolly Haha ive got that too so I just pee on an ovulation strip to fight the urge 😂
Ive got the easy@home ones as cheapies and then a digital which im saving if i get a positive on the cheaper ones.
Anyone else got any pregnancy test reccomendations?

@Huriya trying to resist symptom spotting until 6dpo (Saturday), but that would make quite a quiet thread 😂 My boobs feel quite full and occasionally tingly, felt a little dizzy and nauseous this morning but have been okay after eating. Had sore boobs last month and putting the other symptoms down to the spicy curry last night!

@Ncl31 hope you get some answers and/or a plan from your GP this week

I’ve got one Clear Blue early test that I’m going to save until the day before AF is due, testing just stresses me out if I start too early!

@Huriya I’ve just been using Clear Blue sparingly because I once had to go to out of hours for ?ectopic and they asked whether the BFNs I’d had were Clear Blue or another brand. The nurse said that Clear Blue was the only brand of home tests that the obs & gynae doctors trusted. I would have thought they were all equally reliable if they have a CE mark, but I’ve stuck with Clear Blue since

@Huriya good idea! I'm trying to save my ov strips now though incase I need them next month! Clear blues are good but I don't find them very sensitive and the ones with the lines tend to give really bad evap lines. The boots early detection one is fab!

So I've just gone to do my top up shop and I've started with quite bad cramps and backache which is odd because I'm not due on for another week. I'm thinking it might be implantation? I looked back at last time I was pregnant and I had cramps and backache for a day about a week before I was due on so let's see if it goes by tomorrow. I'm also really craving jalapeños. I ate a third of a jar of them last night and now I'm going to eat the rest of the jar with my lunch 😂😂

@thejollytrolleydolly ooh that sounds good! Fimgers crossed its a positive. Are ypu going to test again tomorrow? Youre 8dpo tomorrow arent you?
I might start testing from tomorrow at 7 DPO its hard to not just test

@Huriya yeah I bought 25 tests so I will test everyday in the week leading up to af and either I'll get a BFP or a period! Either way I don't mind. My goal is to be pregnant by the end of January if I can so I've got plenty of time x

Oh if anyones looking at buying tests found these on Amazon they detect pregnancy 6 days early. Theyre 15 tests for £2.95, reviews seem good to. Just ordered myself a pack 😬

@Huriya ive got the same cheapies.

I’m thinking I’m 1dpo today if ovulation did indeed occur but can’t confirm it. So will probably try and hold off testing as long as possible. Not terribly hopeful but we’ll see!

@Huriya ah that's good, that should last you 2 cycles! Yeah I've used the one step ones before and found them really good! I never had anything like an evap or indent with them. I just think you might as well use these because they are cheap and then when you get a positive with those you can get a digital to confirm it 😊

So my cramps are gone and so is the backache so fingers crossed it was implantation! 🤞🏽

@thejollytrolleydolly jalapeños are a fun craving to have! Fingers crossed you've implanted and you have a sticky one!
@MorningsideMaisie I had an evap line on 2 Clear Blue's last cycle and it made me really sad. So now I've got a digital CB and I'll save it to use once I have a BFP on whatever cheapie I do end up using. I think I tested too much lat cycle and it made me anxious, so don't intend to test until AF is due or a day or two before that. I do have some cheapies left over from last month to use if I can't resist closer to AF.
@Huriya keep us updated if you end up testing!

I love hearing all of your updates! I was hoping to be on the TWW by now because my initial predicted ovulation was Monday. But it's Wednesday, and I've had 2 'high' OPKs today so far. Hoping I get my peak today. App has readjusted to say ovulation is tomorrow. So hoping to be on the TWW by Friday. But I guess only time will tell. I will get there eventually 😅

My only symptom today is rage...

Hopefully I will be less of a moody cow tomorrow.
Going to hold off testing until next Friday if I can which will be after my missed period.
At work I'm so busy currently I have no time to notice symptoms so if there's been anything I haven't noticed 😂

@thejollytrolleydolly thanks! hopefully I actually ovulated, since my body gave me signs but opks never turned positive (hoping I have just lower LH levels and not that I didn't ovulate but we will see how it goes!)

Gonna try and resist to test till close to when AF is due, not feeling terribly positive about it so won't expect much this cycle.

@MorningsideMaisie Ive had an evap line on clear blue before too and I though it was positive. Ive got a clear blue digital but saving that for once the cheapies start showing it first.

Ok let's go in with the symptom spotting... I feel like these may point to implantation today...

Cramps and backache for a couple of hours this morning which have gone. Since then, nausea on and off, sometimes quite intense. An insanely itchy scalp which lasted 20-30 mins which came out of nowhere and when I asked dr Google one of the reasons for that is hormone fluctuations. I've never had that before though so that's totally new. Before that my cervix was quite low, it's now gone up a bit higher and my cm has gone gummy like glue... I don't want to get my hopes up but I feel like something might be happening 🤞🏽🤞🏽
