BBTing our way to a BFP in August 🎉

Hi all!
My body has begun a new cycle in its quest to torture me with cycles that are getting a day longer at a time 😅 so I thought I'd see if anyone wants to join me in BBT charting this month!

DH and I are currently TTC #1, we started in June so are on CD1 of cycle #3 now and I wanted to start doing something a bit more to track without feeling like I'm constantly peeing on some kind of stick 😂 I've previously tried charting in April and May to prevent pregnancy but I hadn't quite got the hang of it yet so the charts were a bit all over the place. My chart since restarting BBT on Sunday already seems a lot more stable than it was last time so hopefully it'll give me some more info this time!

I'm currently twinning with my bestie who has just had an IVF zygote transfer so if we both stick this month we will have the same due date! 🤩

@Huriya we will probably have the same estimated due date too!

@ginny93 I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. Is this the first cycle after your mc? I had a MMC at the end of may and I found that my ov date was 10 days later than usual that month. I'm on cycle 3 and I think my body is just getting back to normal but I am older so I reckon my body has taken a bit more time to bounce back xx

That's made me curious though, what's everyone's estimated due dates for this cycle? Mine would be May 2nd!

@thejollytrolleydolly we probably will! Ive had a check online and its saying May 2 so same as @Hotmalibu94. Im honestly so excited feel so positive for this cycle but at the same time dont want to get my hopes up.

They're driving me nuts... look at this one tonight. Looks darker than yesterdays but is giving me a low reading when yesterdays peak looks lighter 😅😅 all my tests just stay dark and don't do anything else at the moment ☠️
My cycles have always been so regular but for the last couple of months seem to be getting later 😪

@pinkmarshmalloww that looks really good looks like youl be hitting your peak possibly tomorrow or the day after latest hopefully. Try to dtd as often as you can so youve covered all your bases x

Big temp rise for me this morning so fertility friend is saying I ovulated two days ago. I'm waiting a few months before trying again after a late miscarriage. We're booking a holiday for mid October which I don't want to be pregnant for (scuba diving) so I'll hold off until then. Maybe one or two more cycles...

It's so nice to see my cycle come back though. After my second miscarriage it was 60 days before I got my period and I didn't ovulate that cycle so to ovulate on CD20 which is only a week later than normal is really nice. I have a short luteal phase so expecting/hoping for a period in a week (after a D&C I always really worry about my lining being damaged).

Keeping my fingers crossed for everyone hoping for a May baby!!

They look really positive to me! Have you done a pregnancy test?

@Myna13 @Hotmalibu94 one was decent and the other very fidgety, not a professional so did what I could. At least no more matting, it definitely hurts them. The ILs shouldn’t keep dogs really as they feed and give water but that’s the end of it. Never want to let my own dog with them at all for nothing.

@Huriya @thejollytrolleydolly if the we catch the little egg would be looking at 8th May potential due date. I’m not really bothered when it would be just sooner rather than later if we manage to get pregnant and although it was sad it didn’t work last month I didn’t really want April due date.

@thejollytrolleydolly very exciting you to join your bestie! Last month promotion this month sending baby bust and all the luck for a little bean.

temps risen today a bit so we will see what today’s opk say, getting close! Depending on how it goes we may BD today or tomorrow

@Kinsters I'm glad your cycle isn't too out of whack this month! Your holiday sounds amazing, I'm so jealous! Hope you have a fabulous time when you go!

@CatiaR bless you, thank you for helping those dogs, your ILs sound a bit awful 🙈 I'm quite happy with May onwards too, a summery birthday would be lovely!

@CatiaR oh no! I feel quite sorry for the doggo's. Unfortunately a lot of people get dogs without realising how much hard work it is, and the dogs lose out. I'm truly glad you were able to give them some relief.

@thejollytrolleydolly so exciting that you and your bestie might be pregnant together and have twinning babies. Hoping it's the month for both of you 🤞🏽

@Huriya if we conceive this cycle, Flo says the predicted due date is 4th May. We'd love to conceive this cycle. But it's okay if we don't. We'll just keep trying. DH would love for us to conceive later in the year since he's a teacher. So if baby comes around the summer, he'll have loads of time off to help. But we know we can't plan things to the date like that 😂

@Myna13 at least if you get a May bubba he'll be off on paternity and then not too long after he'll be back off for the summer so still would work pretty well 😅

What cycle is this for everyone, I've lost track! This is cycle#3 for DC#1 for us 💕

@Hotmalibu94 if I'm being honest, I know he'll do whatever he can to help no matter what time of the year it is. So I just want a healthy baby asap! We're lucky to have a lovely circle of friends and family that will help if needed as well.
We're TTC DC#1. And this is cycle #2 in a row. But we were trying towards the second half of last year. And first half of last year (had a MC in July 2022) and needed a break. And then needed a break from TTC during Christmas.

Still waiting for my temp rise (CD17 today) but that’s within the realms of normal for me so still expecting AF on 25th. Going to have a day at home, sorting moving boxes and then a walk later (if the weather holds), hoping in vain to welcome the wee egg out into a wholesome environment 😂

Interesting responses re alcohol and caffeine, we all have our vices! I had half a pint when I was out with friends last night and didn’t feel great after - sort of dizzy and sick - so might avoid for the rest of the TWW. Fortunately we found some really nice alcohol free beers and DH is cutting down too. I’ve consigned myself to the fact that alcohol free wines are just disgusting, so I’ll only drink the real stuff when I’m on my period!

My EDD would be 2nd of May. All my family are late spring/summer birthdays, which I think is ideal, but trying not to get too hung up on dates.

@thejollytrolleydolly yeah first cycle so no idea what’s going on really! We’re going to try to get straight back on TTC but it’s hard to know what the timings are going to be- I feel like I’m flying blind! I’m going to have a go with those 2 year out of date OPKs though haha. My temp is still on a very slow decline this morning and had a super faint positive pregnancy test, so I’m hoping that it’s just about done! So 10 days late feels like it might be about right for me too

Looks like theres loads of us with due dates around the start of May.. ideal for me weathers gradually changing so not too hot and not too.cold. Hopefully by the time ive recovered weather would be perfect for walks with the pram and picnics in the park. 😍

@ginny93 sending love your way. I don't have any useful advice, except that your body knows best so just listen to it and give it what it needs.

@Huriya lie ins are the best! We're also having a slow morning. Woke up, brushed the doggo and I'm back in bed with two sleeping dogs snuggled up to me while I wait for DH to finish showering so I can shower and then go make a start on my day too.
OPKs are still low which is frustrating because predicted ovulation is tomorrow. Although Flo and Apple Health says it's tomorrow, and Premom says it's Tuesday. So it could be Tuesday too. I've only been doing 1 a day. Going to try and do 2 today and see if that makes a difference.

@MorningsideMaisie that sounds a nice day to be fair! Yeah I just don't think drinking during the TWW is worth it for me personally, so I stick to just during my period!

Morning @Huriya, hope you enjoyed your lay in! We were meant to be going for a walk but think we are actually having a lazy day at home instead now.

Is anyone going to do anything different in the TWW? I think I need to try and cut down on sugar, we buy sweets like mad at work and all constantly chow down on them 🙈 and just generally try to eat some more fruit and veg! Sticking to my coffee in the morning for now though 😅

@Hotmalibu94 Ive cut down on my tea intake. I use to have atleast 3/4mugs a day reducing that down to 2 now. Other than that am hoping the next 11 days fly by for me its so hard not to count but then it like naturally happens.
Currently 3 DPO and no symptoms other than tired and exhausted. Also last night I felt like a sharp pain in my lower abdomen/pelvic which dissappeared this morning. Not sure if this is a symptom.
