BBTing our way to a BFP in August 🎉

Hi all!
My body has begun a new cycle in its quest to torture me with cycles that are getting a day longer at a time 😅 so I thought I'd see if anyone wants to join me in BBT charting this month!

DH and I are currently TTC #1, we started in June so are on CD1 of cycle #3 now and I wanted to start doing something a bit more to track without feeling like I'm constantly peeing on some kind of stick 😂 I've previously tried charting in April and May to prevent pregnancy but I hadn't quite got the hang of it yet so the charts were a bit all over the place. My chart since restarting BBT on Sunday already seems a lot more stable than it was last time so hopefully it'll give me some more info this time!

@ginny93 I've never actually tracked it properly, this is cycle 1 of using natural cycles properly. I used it for 2 cycles previously with really random temps and I think it was user error 😅 but the predicted line has been pretty random so far! I've attached the screenshot of it now and it at the beginning of the cycle and it's changed 😂

@Huriya I'm not sure what's going on with my tests atm but I've still not had a peak test 🤯 CD15 now. LH has been high for days fluctuating but no peak 😓

@pinkmarshmalloww Keep a close eye on it. It maybe anytime now.. test around 11am then late afternoon around 4pmish and again before 8pm. I caught my peak around 5pm!

@pinkmarshmalloww your OPKs must be so frustrating for you! Hoping the peak turns up soon, and in the meantime just keep on BDing 🤗

@Huriya I’m doing about the same at the moment just did at 12 and its the highest I’ve had so far but still low for now. But predicted ovulation is Tuesday so I’m guessing it will start to increase more tomorrow and monday 😊

Just done my afternoon one and its lower so last few days my highest values been when I test about 12-1pm

@CatiaR It maybe because possible your pee is too diluted? When I was doing my OPKs i wasnt having more than a glass of water over the 3/4 hrs and then testing.

So I said I was going to chill but apparently I'm already symptom spotting at 3dpo 😂 I've got hot achy tiddies which I've not had for the last couple of months so hoping it's a good sign. Random sharp pains in my lower abdomen too. Oh and think I went to pee 3,000 times today 😁 how is everyone else feeling? Looking forward to us all being in the tww! Xx

@CatiaR still a few days til ov then, can't wait to see your OPKs peak 🎉

Haha I'm so going to be the same 🙈 these all seem like good signs so far 🤞 I dunno how quickly your body can figure out you're pregnant? 😅 only 1dpo here so nothing much except sore nipples which has happened the day after predicted ov on the last two cycles as well so think that's just normal for me.

@Hotmalibu94 I don't know either! They say you don't feel anything until at least 6dpo but other people swear that they have symptoms from straight after ovulation!! So god knows 😅 xx

@thejollytrolleydolly yeah I've heard that and tbh I'm happy going with that or else every 'normal' symptom I'll be feeling will make me feel like losing all hope 😅

I'm trying to stay positive, I think we got fairly good coverage (4 out of 6 days leading up to and including ov day) and we've been pregnant in the past accidentally (when we were young and stupid) so I'm hoping it won't take too long when we are putting effort in 🙈

@Hotmalibu94 with my ectopic I had symptoms (pain) from the minute I ovulated for the entire 2ww. I think basically I felt it implanting in the fallopian tube very early.

With my DD my first symptoms were just feeling a bit weird (dizzy) at 6dpo, followed by very painful boobs at 7dpo. Bfp at 8 dpo.

@Huriya possible, I don’t tend to drink as much as I should so in theory it should have been not diluted but who knows 😊 I’ll keep an eye on it but still slowly increasing a few days out so I’m thinking mine might be a sharp increase

@Hotmalibu94 @thejollytrolleydolly symptom spotting! I definitely went overboard last month with that but to be fair my body was bonkers as I never feel anything much and suddenly was all over the place so definitely overthinking it 😂

got slightly sore boob today so I think that’s my thing around ovulation time I never knew since never paid attention to it till TTC!

Love hearing about all your symptom spotting! I didn't get much in the way of early symptoms but I did get a BFP at 6DPO last time so you must be able to tell at least a couple of days before that?

@Throwawy oh wow, that's pretty crazy, I guess it was all just because it implanted super early. Quite scary really isn't it! Thank you for sharing your experiences 💕

@CatiaR the first month trying I did too, my body did all sorts of weird stuff I wasn't expecting it to! But I'm starting to get more familiar with it now! Have a great evening yourself 💕

@ginny93 woah that's crazy early! How are you getting on with your cycle this month? I'm sorry I'm losing track of what everyone is up to 🙈

@Throwawy that's so interesting! My only symptoms with my last 2 pregnancies have been a lack of symptoms really! I had a day of extreme anxiety at about 7dpo both times but that was it. My boobs hurt a lot with dd. This month feels so different to last month as last month I had backache and cramps from ovulation straight through to AF! Whereas this month I had a tiny bit of pain on ov day then it's gone and I just have painful nips!

@ginny93 woah that's super early! That means I can poas in a few days 😂 I'm approaching 4dpo so maybe I am feeling a little something? Who knows!

@CatiaR yeah you might be like me. Mine spiked and went back down to nearly nothing in just over 24 hours so you could be the same 😊 xx

Yeah, I only tested that early so I could go out drinking with a clear conscience 😂I'm maybe at CD10 (although it's all kinda guesswork after the MC), temps are still above the cover line but possibly creeping down slightly. I had a positive pregnancy test on Thursday but it was kinda faint (pretty much the same as my 6dpo bfp 😅) so I'm gonna test again tomorrow morning and fingers crossed for a negative! I've still got super light bleeding too- it's like the world's longest period. I could really do with that stopping so I can get back on the BD!

(just to clarify - obviously after I got the bfp at 6dpo I didn't go out drinking!)

@ginny93 haha I love that reasoning! Are you getting straight back to TTC? I know someone here was having a break this cycle but I can't remember who 🙈 fingers crossed the tests become negative and the bleeding stops soon 💕

@thejollytrolleydolly @CatiaR I suspect I'm going to have a last minute peak with my OPKs because I've still had really low tests today. Predicted ovulation on Monday. But could also be Tuesday because I do have longer cycles.

mine are still fairly low as well and predicted ovulation for Tuesday 😊 it has gone up but suuuuuper low amounts 😆

super tired as we went to the ILs to groom their dogs and they were so matted it was very hard work! Not fun! Don’t particularly enjoy driving 1h each way for that but yeah. Hopefully something more useful and productive tomorrow!

oh no! Poor doggies. Apparently once mats go down to their skin, it actually hurts them :( I'm glad you were able to help out and groom them for your ILs.
We had a long lovely walk, and one of our dogs was very pleased because he found a big stick.

I worked this morning (vet nurse) and then this afternoon I've not done much at all except being lazy. Tomorrow we are going on a walk.

@CatiaR oh no, grooming dogs is no fun at the best of times! Hope they were well behaved at least!
