BBTing our way to a BFP in August 🎉

Hi all!
My body has begun a new cycle in its quest to torture me with cycles that are getting a day longer at a time 😅 so I thought I'd see if anyone wants to join me in BBT charting this month!

DH and I are currently TTC #1, we started in June so are on CD1 of cycle #3 now and I wanted to start doing something a bit more to track without feeling like I'm constantly peeing on some kind of stick 😂 I've previously tried charting in April and May to prevent pregnancy but I hadn't quite got the hang of it yet so the charts were a bit all over the place. My chart since restarting BBT on Sunday already seems a lot more stable than it was last time so hopefully it'll give me some more info this time!

@Myna13 @thejollytrolleydolly would have rathered the strips but this was all I could see in the shop 😅
Will retake tomorrow midday and see where we are at!

@thejollytrolleydolly hope your meeting with the fertility nurse goes well.

@Hotmalibu94 I think if you're going to do another one, you'll be able to compare it against this one and see if it's got any darker. If all else fails, your CM should have some answers for you too!

@Myna13 at least we got another person to go this with at the same timeframe 😊

I’m still testing low so might be one of those that spikes on the day too not sure 🤔

@Hotmalibu94 I’d say you covered your basis with your BD so fingers crossed you catch it this month 😊

@Myna13 if anything I had more EWCM two days ago 😅 but then still had some today I suppose just seemed like less. So maybe I've already ovulated but then temp isn't doing anything to indicate that 😂

@Hotmalibu94 our bodies are soo strange when they want to be! My body was like clockwork and so predictable when I wasn't TTC. And now I don't know what's happening half the time 😂

@Myna13 it went fine. She just asked about lifestyle things. She said stress is a massive factor in not getting pregnant so she said not to worry too much about ovulating and to have sex every other day around my fertile period. I know last month I was super stressed out about my promotion so that probably hindered me getting pregnant. She said if you can relax and do things that make you happy that it helps a lot. Also she said cut out artificial sweeteners and eat more antioxidants 🤷🏽‍♀️ xx

Ladies I have another update... Ive hit my PEAK!! Literally just done another OPK and its more than doubled from what it was midday so il be joining @thejollytrolleydolly with the 2ww. I cant believe im ovulating early this has never happened before. Deffo dtd the tonight cant miss it.

@Huriya thank you but I didn't ever plan on doing OPKs and I'm hoping I won't need to get into that so I'll probably hold off for now 😅
Still have EWCM and had quite a lot this morning tbh so I'm potentially still in the lead up. Ill test it again tomorrow midday and 4ish I think and see what happens x

What CD is everyone on? Currently on day 8, I was planning on cracking out the thermometer the last couple of days but haven't as have had a bad cold which would affect temps. Will start opks on cd10 (usually ovulate cd15-17).
Not sure how long I'm going to bother with OPK's as I know when I ovulate as I get pains and both times I've gotten pregnant is from DTD before I even got the hint of a surge. But for some reason I bought 2 packs of 50 so I might as well use them now.

@Throwawy hiya! I’m on CD11. Fertile week starts tomorrow and expected ovulation next Tuesday. Opks still low so need to keep a close eye on it so I don’t miss my surge!

@Throwawy I'm cd15, had the quickest peak on my opk's! Literally just over 24 hours for it to rise and then be gone! Mental! Tomorrow I start the tww. Going to try and be as chilled as possible this time and do things that make me feel happy rather than stress out incase I've not conceived. According to my fertility nurse, stress is a big factor for me. Apparently my eggies like a happy place to settle lol!!

I've been dtd for a few days before my surge just going on cm so hopefully it's done the trick 😊 x

DH has been down the pub and is pretty drunk so I think BD is off the table for tonight 🤦‍♀️

@thejollytrolleydolly he's past that stage and now into the about to puke stage 😂 but he's brought me a curry for dinner at least. Maybe I can make time before work tomorrow 😂🤦‍♀️

@thejollytrolleydolly mine was similar. I had high around midday but all of a sudden around 5pm it doubled and I was at peak!..
I baby danced on Sunday, Monday and Today so hoping I have it covered. 🤞

@CatiaR deffo start checking twice a day levels change alot and quite quickly..

Quick question for everyone. Once you have your peak does the egg drop 24hrs from then? Im trying to figure out if its worth trying to baby dance again tomorrow or will I be out.

@Huriya definitely will do.

I think you ovulate 24-36hrs so you could still be in to do tomorrow m, definitely won’t be wasted in the case it takes more than 24hrs I think. But you’ve covered your bases pretty well!

Good catch on the OPKs @thejollytrolleydolly ! I’ve never done them before but I’m tempted by this thread 😂 I’m pretty sure I’ve got a box somewhere from when I first signed up to natural cycles - anyone know if they can go out of date?!

good morning @ginny93 and everyone!

BBT increased a bit today so going to keep a close eye on my opks to see if I happen to ovulate earlier than predicted. We started BD on Tuesday and plan to do again today so will keep that up for now unless I notice that I’m ovulating 😊

although part of that temp increase could be this warm weather we just got! 😂
