BBTing our way to a BFP in August 🎉

Hi all!
My body has begun a new cycle in its quest to torture me with cycles that are getting a day longer at a time 😅 so I thought I'd see if anyone wants to join me in BBT charting this month!

DH and I are currently TTC #1, we started in June so are on CD1 of cycle #3 now and I wanted to start doing something a bit more to track without feeling like I'm constantly peeing on some kind of stick 😂 I've previously tried charting in April and May to prevent pregnancy but I hadn't quite got the hang of it yet so the charts were a bit all over the place. My chart since restarting BBT on Sunday already seems a lot more stable than it was last time so hopefully it'll give me some more info this time!

@Huriya just about to do one today and see if its any different earlier. Was gonna do 4pm but we not gonna get a break till we end today our training at 5pm.

its still been low opks but slowly increasing ever so slightly. Fertile week starts this Thursday and predicted ovulation not till next Wednesday I think so still got time

@ginny93 thank you! I've had a quick google and it's 8-12 hours after your peak. I'm now wondering how long it takes sperm to get to your fallopian tubes etc 😂 I'm thinking way too much into this!!

@thejollytrolleydolly I'm pretty sure they get there really quickly from when I've googled! Love the OPKs! They're getting there now! 😍

@thejollytrolleydolly oh wow them lines are looking good! Id start dtd if I were you, looks like youre in the few days coming upto ovulation 🙈

@Huriya we managed to dtd last night and this morning. So another sesh this evening and tomorrow should cover it! I think I will either peak tonight or tomorrow morning as cd14 is quite late for me to ovulate but I will update tomorrow! Xx

@thejollytrolleydolly how exciting! Almost in TWW again 😂

I think I might be slow to increase too considering it hasn’t changed that much since I’ve started testing but we will see! Going to start testing twice a day in 2 days when fertile week starts but other than that it’s looking fairly stable so hopefully will go well 😊

@thejollytrolleydolly thats really good! Im hoping i ovulate on the weekend. Hubby says he cant do it daily as he has to be up for work at 6am and its exhausting 🙈 ..

Think youl be the first one in the 2ww from all of us 🤭🤭

@Huriya @CatiaR so I'll be the first one to turn into a loony tune 😂😂 I'm looking forward to it and also dreading the fact that it takes over my mind but I have the fertility nurse appointment, blood tests and lots of work to keep me busy so hopefully I won't think about it too much (yeah right) 😅

yeah one more week for me if the predicted is correct bur going to start BD more frequently towards the end of the week as we enter my fertile week.

@thejollytrolleydolly normally mine would peak not long after seeing a test this dark 😅 but I'm on new meds for hypothyroid and I'm hoping it doesn't throw my cycle off this month x

I done another OPK just before 8pm and I can see it progressing nicely!

@Huriya looking good! I think mine might be a sudden spike as its still been quite low

I don't have lots to do a nice progression pic but looks like I'll ovulate soon!

I always BBT when I wake up (DS normally wakes me at 6, among other times 😵‍💫) and do it in the little bit under the side of my tongue, same side each time. I keep the thermometer under my pillow so in theory it's less affected by changing room temps.

I post at weird times because I live in Malaysia (I'm British though, hence why I'm on Mumsnet).

Temp still low this morning so still not ovulated! Was due to ovulate tomorrow anyway so will see what temp does tomorrow and Friday. NC app has been changing my predictions from high fertility to low fertility this week so not sure what it was expecting from my temps 🤣 dtd Friday, Sunday and Tuesday so far 🤞

We are all creeping towards that TWW now 😂 can't wait for us all to go crazy over symptom spotting!

@Hotmalibu94 you must be close too! I’m still a week away so probably going to be one of the latest to get to TWW but we’re all almost there 😂

@Kinsters thats looking really good! Are using any apps as well to track ovulation?

@Hotmalibu94 hopefully not long left now. Fingers crossed by the end of the week and il be in my 2ww period. Still no sign of ovulation but sticking to dtd everyother day to make sure theres always sperm there for the egg incase i miss it.

@CatiaR I think I must be, EWCM so been baby dancing where we can 😂 it's hard in the week because we're both so tired from work 🙈

@Huriya I think by the end of the week I'll be in my TWW too 🤞

Planning to look at my app today to see what I've logged during previous ovulation times 😅

I use fertility friend. Temps still pretty low. We're not trying this month anyway but I really want to see my cycle get back to normal. Plus every cycle is one cycle closer to trying again.

I've used fertility friend and love looking back at the cycles I conceived DD and DS. Also really handy to compare past cycles to current ones.

I know I've tested early but I just can help myself 🫣 but could this be the start of my rise for a peak today 🤞 re test after lunch x

@pinkmarshmalloww I don't get how those tests work, why can't you test early in the day? 😂 Hopefully they peak today! Eeek!
