Good luck with testing @EvelynKatie 🤞🏻let us know how you get on🤍

feel SO emotional today, not due AF until a week today but just thinking about another unsuccessful cycle is really getting to me. so pathetic for crying over it but it just feels like it’s been such a long time with no luck now, I feel almost like is it ever going to happen? Sorry to be so negative I know I need to try and remain positive

Feeling so emotional can also be a sign of pregnancy

When i was so emotional - i was preg but didnt know it then & then had an early miscarriage

Hope you get good news soon

Have you ever done a hormone and fertility test
With hertility health ?
They are very worthwhile

Have u had your feretin - b12 & vit d checked ?

Sending lotsa luck your way

JustTrying1 · 21/09/2023 18:18

Omg day from hell (work related) 😩

@H0pefull we are indeed in sync! When are you going to test? I'm going to try and hold out for as long as I can!
Sorry you are feeling down today. I think this TWW gets to us all in that respect because we are busy symptom spotting and counting down the days to when it's acceptable to test. I'm feeling like this today too.

@EvelynKatie ah that puts me more at ease. I might stop temping tbh while I'm doing OPKs.
Will keep everything crossed for your testing 🤞

@worldwidetravel2017 two bananas a day?? I didn't know that but going to give that a whirl!
I'm also going to have a look into that Hertility Health as I've seen you mention it a bit so it's peaked my interest!

I've got a headache today but think it's work related stress. No pangs pains or twinges to report either and feeling mega drained / emotional but not reading into that after the week I'm having!

worldwidetravel2017 · 21/09/2023 18:35

@worldwidetravel2017

Yep

I legit bought up the banana thing in a consultation with a dr a few months ago, he didn't know but got it up on his pc when i bought it up.. its true

Also - have you done a progesterone test 3 /4 days after ovulation ? - to check your body is kinda doing as it should re progesterone ? - super drug offer this for 40 gbp - u test at home..
For some people its hard / tricky 2 book that test via NHS as some peoples ovulation varies & that test has to be @ right time - & blood tests @ Drs often get booked up way in advance round here..

Hertility health - yes - highly recommend.
Used them twice -
Spring last year..
Summer this year..

. Both HH results are transfered 2 my nhs record..

Its a quicker way to get many things checked - that nhs often dont look at all til later..

Im conscious of my age etc

We were surprised we concieved as quickly as we did - 2nd cycle trying
But then sadly was an early miscarriage

I fixed my feretin in May.
Fixed vit D by june...( march it was too low)
Improved my b12 - also important in conception & pregnancy
Take 10 mg zinc daily - helps body / hormones & even contributes to how progesterone works / functions
Etc

Oops
Apologies - accidentally tagged myself
Meant to quote / tag u in the above

VixFromThe6ix · 21/09/2023 18:48

@SnookyPook I laughed out loud! Thank you! But I agree, I wish there was a more obvious sign that you're pregnant.

@JustTrying1 sorry to hear your work day is going roughly. I feel like with the whole TTC thing where I'm already stressed, any additional stress makes me feel overwhelmed. Today it's my toddler, he's 20mos and I think he's getting more difficult to reason with. Hope you feel better when you get home. Have some wine and some chocolate. It helps may my crappy days better.

Welcome back @Eirlys1986 !!

I'm 2dpo today, I think. Still getting positive LH lines on my OPKs. This ovidrel shot really made me confused as I have no idea if I ovulated since my LH isn't going down for 4 days now. And I can't test till 10days post taking it since it contains HCG levels and I'm likely to get a false positive cause of it. How will I survive lol I'm so anxious to POAS!!

Angelsrose · 21/09/2023 19:14

@MrsBP15 I think you asked about progesterone. A figure greater than 30 indicates ovulation so 45 is great. Sorry if someone else has already answered.

worldwidetravel2017 · 21/09/2023 19:48

Ovulation wise - if you use cheap sticks am and pm - your unlikely to miss it

CurlyWurly1991 · 21/09/2023 20:20

@VixFromThe6ix Its a good question you ask about peak OPKs, I don’t know the answer. I tend to have a very short surge that goes from a baseline up to positive then back to practically zero within less than 2 days, often under 24h. This cycle they were positive one evening, then remained quite dark for a couple of days afterwards which is unusual.
In your situation I would wonder what did your other signs suggest - CM, cervical position? Do you feel ovulation pain?
I hope you caught the egg this cycle!

worldwidetravel2017 · 21/09/2023 20:24

Flo app tends to be quite good in predicting the days b4 ovulation

MOGMOGMOG85 · 21/09/2023 20:31

Omg ladies I need your help. I've convinced myself I'm pregnant this time and with my years anniversary of starting ttc I'm gonna be just devastated this time :( cd26 today, been cramping again this eve but whenever I check down there it's a fair bit of ewcm. I don't tend to get much of that usually, not noticeably anyway. Usually at this time of the month I'm desperately trying to tell myself my small amount of sticky cm is ewcm.. I'm bright red in the face - which happened with my son. My nipples look darker (not yellow though sadly). I've had some intense dreams lately including sexy ones. I'm all alone tonight and just can't handle these feelings what if what if. I'm literally planning my early scan and thinking about midwives I've fully lost it :'(

I presume this will all be over tomorrow. If she doesn't arrive tomorrow I don't know whatll happen, guess I'll have a name list ready for my other half when he gets home and will be pram shopping :,,o why does this have to be so so hard!

@FigandHoney and hopeful (can't tag you for some reason!!!) I'm so sorry you're both going through it too. Hopeful it's not pathetic at all and I have felt like that the majority of my ttc months (of which there have been 34 so far and only 1 baby!) Xxxx

Do a numark very early test ?

VixFromThe6ix · 21/09/2023 20:59

@CurlyWurly1991 my surges are usually just like yours....they go for super light low readings to high or peak in a day but because I've been taking letrozole and ovidrel it's obviously been doing some funny business. Look at the picture of both LH and HCG tests....both positive at the same time lol
I tested to see if I'd actually get a false positive and yes I did. So note to self, ladies, if you're ever in a position of taking a trigger shot do not test till ten days after, otherwise you're gonna get your hopes up for potentially nothing :) I'm 2dpo so impossible it's an actual BFP, in case you ask.

@MOGMOGMOG85 oh love... I feel like we've all felt like this at one point or another. It's so hard not to start imagining things. It's precisely the reason I test eqrly, because I know I'd convince myself I'm pregnant from all the PMS symptoms. Hang in there, watch something on television to distract yourself. I truly hope you're gonna get some good news this cycle.

@SnookyPook really chuckled away to the nipple post.

I agree @worldwidetravel2017 Flo app has been great so far although there isn’t a chance in hell that I am going to input seriously personal data into an app I know barely anything about. I’ll input my period and days TTC but no way am I putting in anything more sensitive. Anyone with me? GDPR panic.

worldwidetravel2017 · 21/09/2023 21:51

Tbh we used it in last cycle - just logged sex and neg / pos tests etc

It was incorrect on its ovulation stuff 4 us the cycle b4 that

But yeah - we concieved second cycle although sadly early miscarriage but flo app played a little part

Cressie2 · 21/09/2023 21:57

@worldwidetravel2017 so sorry to hear that. That’s really hard. I hope you’re ok. ❤️

worldwidetravel2017 · 21/09/2023 22:02

Cressie2 · 21/09/2023 21:57

@worldwidetravel2017 so sorry to hear that. That’s really hard. I hope you’re ok. ❤️

I was very upset and angry to start with

But been processing it

Miscarriage is common and realistically - my age - over 35 - my bmi -, heavier than i was 2 years ago for a variety of reasons - and yeah - various other factors could of played a role..

  • equally , we could of ' just ' been unlucky..

Gynae told me it was not my fault etc...

We will try again etc..

My younger sister had also had at least one miscarriage, & has 2 children now..

My partner & i remain hopeful

Thank you though

JustTrying1 · 22/09/2023 05:36

Thank you @worldwidetravel2017 that is really good to know. As I'm coming to the end of this cycle I might hold off until next before I look at Hertility but definitely worth doing if it gives you some insight before the NHS can/do. It's still early days for me TTC this time round in comparison to some. I feel like because I've been here before many years ago in my younger, healthier years, its hard not to have the feeling that it won't happen again.

Also sorry about your miscarriage 🫶

DH is in for his test in November although I'm confused with how that works. He's booked the test in but was told to just take his pot in on the day - does this mean he won't know the results on the day? It sounds like the time he's booked in is just to take his sample not to actually talk through anything.

Tbh once we get the results of any tests it's unlikely we will be referred through NHS due to my BMI which I am working on but I've got like 4 stone to lose and I can't exercise much due to my recently diagnosed skin condition. I think private IVF is going to be our only way forward.

On that note if we get all the tests done now do we have to have them all done again if we do go private? If so I might just look at private much sooner.

@VixFromThe6ix yeh work is particularly difficult right now. In fact I don't think I've ever been so stressed, which is the last thing I need right now.
Oh that sounds so confusing. So if you think you are 2dpo does that mean you shouldn't really test until next weekend then?

@MOGMOGMOG85 it is so hard isn't it 😩 Earlier this month when AF arrived I literally turned to the DH and told him I don't know if I can do this every month. It's only our first month on a full cycle since coming off the pill in June but as I've been through it all before I think I'm just filled with dread - which is awful. But then part of me already has a list of names!!

El1988 · 22/09/2023 07:07

@MOGMOGMOG85 really really hoping for you that AF doesn’t arrive and you’re right and you get a BFP! 🧡

@VixFromThe6ix that’s so tough not being able to test until the trigger is gone, that really has to mess with your head 😔 fingers crossed for you that this round of IUI goes well! 🤞🤞🤞

I have foolishly tested again this morning and it looks negative, but also I feel like I am hallucinating a very very thin line, and I had a kind of weird nausea yesterday - but my husband thinks I’m imagining it… still only 10/11 DPO, but my temperature is still raised and usually it starts to drop down again around now… ugh I don’t know! I feel I should wait until AF has shown on Monday ish to test again, but I know I won’t have the patience 🙈 also don’t want to get my hopes up because let’s be realistic here, I am probably imagining the line.

Hope everyone is doing well today, and sending a big hug to those finding it hard today 🧡

CurlyWurly1991 · 22/09/2023 07:26

@El1988 worth another test surely!! Hopefully this is it for you!!
@VixFromThe6ix aha this makes sense, I’m sure I have heard the phrase ‘testing out the trigger’ which I never quite got but now I’m thinking it might involve testing until the residual hcg leaves the system so you know that any subsequent test is accurate. If the medications mean that OPKs can be artificially raised, how does the clinic/health centre advise you identify that ovulation is imminent?
@Cressie2 yeah it is pretty concerning to think how much data these apps have on me. I use fertility friend and there is a lot of my detail on there! It’s true. The problem like a lot of these machine learning type things is that the more accurate data you input the better the information you receive. I have generally irregular cycles too so anything that is predicting ovulation on dates only based on previous bleeds tends to be inaccurate.

JustTrying1 · 22/09/2023 07:28

Did you take a pic of the test @El1988 ?

We are off on holiday for a few days tomorrow and I'm not taking any tests with me - in fact I'm not going to even think about TTC (yeh right...)

El1988 · 22/09/2023 07:36

@JustTrying1 nah, no pic - I’m literally convinced I’m imagining it - like willing a line into existence that isn’t actually there 🙈 I don’t think anything would show on a camera at all - I’ll do my best to wait until Sunday and test again, if no sign of AF, and if my nipples look a bit yellow 😅

thank you @CurlyWurly1991 🧡

i had a long chat with my husband last night about this so let’s see - we made a plan for how long we’ll keep trying before going for IVF and a few other things and it really made me feel calmer, and less full of despair.

BB2023 · 22/09/2023 07:39

Feeling quite low today. Before my MC I had a regular cycle, normally getting a high reading on clear blue for a few days before getting a peak CD16-CD18. I'm now CD16 and I'm still getting low readings.
I've had one AF since my MC so I was kind of hoping things would be normal this cycle. So frustrating. Mentally I feel ok about the MC but I wish my body would catch up. xx

MrsBP15 · 22/09/2023 08:31

@FigandHoney yes I did have a googs but it was all a little confusing. I've asked the surgery to email me the results so that should help with trying to decipher them.

@worldwidetravel2017 it sounds like my progesterone is at a good level being 45 so I think I'm all good on the banana front. I'm also going to sound crazy but apparently if you have lots of bananas you are more likely to have a boy (i know i know but i am unbelievably superstitious) of course we don't mind what we have as long as they are healthy but...

@Angelsrose thank you so much that is super helpful and the doctor def said it was all looking good. I guess I was just wondering how good 😂but like i say, i should get the results and then look into them a bit more.

My period has arrived a day late without so much of a whisper of it being on the way apart from the usual spotting a few days ago. Weirdly no tears this time, maybe because of tests? Also work is insane for both me and my husband so just been quite distracted though I think the period pains at work today will ensure I'm not distracted for long!! Glad I held off testing, I think if it hadn't got here by tonight I would have been tempted....

EvelynKatie · 22/09/2023 08:35

11DPO and big temp drop this morning. AF due today or tomorrow so on its way! On to cycle 4.
