El1988 · 20/09/2023 21:04

@Angelsrose congratulations on your wonderful news! Apologies, I missed it earlier! Delighted for you!!!

and to everyone who was so kind to me earlier - thank you so much. It really meant a lot! 🧡 I’m feeling a bit better now…

Eirlys1986 · 20/09/2023 21:16

Thanks @Angelsrose , I have been less active on the thread recently as started to feel a bit overwhelmed last cycle so it was good to take a little step back. Currently around 6-7 DPO and already tested today like a numpty 🤣

MrsBP15 · 20/09/2023 21:21

@El1988 i feel you! I’ve stayed in my job because I thought I’d get pregnant quickly, make the most of maternity pay and then look to get a new job. I’ve left it too late to go anywhere else now because just my luck I’d get pregnant and only be eligible for Statutory maternity pay. My husband hasn’t been ready until this year so it wasn’t going to happen this year but I still find it hard and I sometimes I find myself frustrated with him because we waited for so long. Anyway, this is just to say I get you, I see you, it sucks and just adds to the stress of it all!

@FigandHoney I only test with my husband. I genuinely couldn’t test on my own at this point because if it was positive I would feel bad. He really wants to be part of it and I love that. To be fair though, I only test if my period is late which has happened once in 7/8 cycles of trying. I don’t know why I don’t feel the pull to test like others do but I do get it and am surprised at myself to be honest. I have found not seeing lots of BFNs has protected my heart a little bit ♥️

JustTrying1 · 21/09/2023 06:46

Well I didn't manage to do my BBT this morning as one of the dogs got up early this morning and made her way downstairs so I had to get up and see if she was ok. So I missed my chance to temp 😩 7DPO and literally don't feel a thing today, just tired but that is nothing unusual.

I had such a busy day at work yesterday but it was so nice not having TTC consuming my head.

I wonder what the earliest is that you can get a BFP? I guess it depends how long your cycle is? I don't know mine just yet as I've only had one visit from AF since June but it always has taken a while when I first stop taking the pill. Im expecting AF probably later next week.

CurlyWurly1991 · 21/09/2023 08:18

@JustTrying1 dont worry about not temping, I did the full cycle after the first couple cycles just to get a baseline but now I stop temping once I’m fairly sure I have ovulated (3 high temps plus other signs). I would go nuts otherwise.

Looking at the temps in the luteal phase really doesn’t provide any clues about whether it is a pregnant cycle. After several days of getting ip with an alarm at 6.30 temp I am very grateful to turn off the alarm and try and distract myself!

@Eirlys1986 welcome back. Totally understand stepping away for a bit. It can all get a bit overwhelming at times. Hold off testing for a few days if you can!! Wishing you all the best for this cycle xx

H0pefull · 21/09/2023 09:55

Welcome back @Eirlys1986 🤍
@JustTrying1 having the same thoughts today, desperate to test but trying my best to hold out as AF due a week today (think we worked out we were the same?)
Luckily going to be a busy few days so hopefully I won’t have time to dwell on it…fiancé is going away for a week next Friday so hopefully if this is the month I can find out and tell him before he goes x

EvelynKatie · 21/09/2023 10:52

@JustTrying1 I'm useless on a morning, definitely not a morning person, so I'd never manage temping that way (which is why I went down the apple watch route!). You're bound to end up missing days here and there and like others say, once past your ovulation peak it doesn't really matter all that much anyway.

I'm now 10DPO and yesterday on here I was saying definitely a BFN cycle, I feel completely normal etc. Yesterday afternoon started getting cramps, which lasted all evening until I was trying to sleep too, often with some stabbing pains, and it took me ages to get to sleep. Now this morning I'm feeling quite crampy again. I'm due AF tomorrow or Saturday so that makes sense, but last 2 cycles I didn't cramp until day of AF. So wondering if it's going to be today for AF, and given these cramps think it might be a nasty one! Temp still showing similar to yesterday and is a bit higher than it was when I was 4DPO, so haven't had my usual downwards trend 2-3 days before AF yet. To be on safe side I'm thinking to test tomorrow as I've got a lot on with work tomorrow and would really like a glass of wine (or 5) tomorrow evening.

MrsBP15 · 21/09/2023 13:28

Hi all posted earlier about my progesterone results, don't suppose anyone has any thoughts? I was on the train so it was a little hard to hear but she mentioned that below 25 is not optimum but i was at the 45 mark which is good. I realise I should have asked more but I was on my way home on packed train so wasn't the best time.

Any thoughts or insights? I'm looking stuff up but getting confused...

H0pefull · 21/09/2023 13:28

Good luck with testing @EvelynKatie 🤞🏻let us know how you get on🤍

feel SO emotional today, not due AF until a week today but just thinking about another unsuccessful cycle is really getting to me. so pathetic for crying over it but it just feels like it’s been such a long time with no luck now, I feel almost like is it ever going to happen? Sorry to be so negative I know I need to try and remain positive

EvelynKatie · 21/09/2023 13:43

Well I definitely feel ropey today and loss of appetite which is just not like me at all. So tested and BFN. Definitely just bad AF symptoms this month, 24 hours of these cramps so far!

FigandHoney · 21/09/2023 14:04

@EvelynKatie Well generally they say that the HCG needs 2 days after implantation to build up enough to register on a test. So if the cramps you are feeling are implantation then the HCG wouldn't register yet

@H0pefull Sorry you are feeling so down today. How long have you been trying for? It took us 15 months to conceive our son. And there were many times I felt like you. But there is hope

@MrsBP15 Sorry can't be much help with the progesterone levels. It's not really something I know anything about. Is it smthg you can Google? Maybe Tommy's has am article about it. You could also call them perhaps.

No spotting today. And my temps have gone back up. Super bloated for 3 days. And my boobs are getting soar. So clinging on to some hope because I didn't get a BFP until 3 days after my missed period last time. I am expecting AF on Saturday. So we will see if these are PMS or pregnancy symptoms. I wish they weren't as similar.

EvelynKatie · 21/09/2023 14:09

@FigandHoney Oh really? I guess I'll see how it goes then. Similar to you expecting AF Friday/Saturday time so will see when it arrives. I agree, wish the symptoms weren't so similar.

H0pefull · 21/09/2023 14:19

@FigandHoney I had a MC in June 2022 (unplanned pregnancy & total surprise) and have been trying ever since x

SnookyPook · 21/09/2023 14:20

Beat of luck to those of you nearing the end of the tww!! The similarity between early pregnancy and pms is so frustrating isn't it. Why can't there just be a definitive sign like HCG turns your nipples yellow or something?! 😂

SnookyPook · 21/09/2023 14:22

Now picturing MN threads

"Do my nipples look a bit yellow to anyone else?"
"Are my nipples yellow or is it the light?"
"Were anyone else's nipples still normal 2 days before AF due and then went yellow?"

Gosh I've gone off on a weird tangent haven't I?! 😂😂😂

FigandHoney · 21/09/2023 14:52

@SnookyPook omg. You just made me laugh out loud. At work 🙈

worldwidetravel2017 · 21/09/2023 15:30

@MrsBP15 - are u having 2 bananas a day ? Natural way to help towards increasing progesterone

worldwidetravel2017 · 21/09/2023 15:31

In terms of nipple chat - when i was pregnant very recently - very briefly - boobs were def bigger - some t shirts i then couldnt wear & nips were way more sensitive

worldwidetravel2017 · 21/09/2023 15:36

NHS ranges 4 some stuff are so wide
Particularly with vit D

Mine considerably improved from spring to summer

However
Been reading more of the ace.
It starts with an egg book

Pages 78 79

Now taking 2000 IU
Vit D
Instead of 1000 IU

As well as a little actimel drink a day that has 1 /3 of recommended daily vit D in

Theres the / a link between miscarriage
& not enough vit D

As per page 78 of this book - best to get vit D levels to optimal - 100 nmol / L of vit D 4 blood test result

Mine was 77 few months back
Which according to this book is the lower end of sufficient
And sufficient starts at 75 - so only just in it

^^ book // conception advise bands are different to NHS vit D blood test result bands // gradings

El1988 · 21/09/2023 16:16

Hi @SnookyPook you just gave me a good chuckle! Thank you! Yellow nipples 🤣

@H0pefull im so sorry you’re feeling this way, it’s really tough and messes with your brain and heart so much… every month a fresh grief… take care of yourself and hopefully you can do something nice tonight 🧡 but sometimes you don’t have to be super positive about this, sometimes you can just let yourself feel all the feelings, maybe have a good cry and then pick yourself up again and be positive when you’ve let all the negative feelings out… sending a hug your way, and hope you feel better soon 🧡🧡🧡

@worldwidetravel2017 yeah my vitamin D was 75 6 months ago, I’ve been trying to get it up over the summer but not sure how it’s looking. Apparently it’s also good for egg quality, the aul vitamin D!

@FigandHoney i know the feeling, it’s so cruel - is it my period coming in the next few days, or could I be pregnant 🤷🏻‍♀️

tested this morning again, BFN. Also feel completely normal so I would say I’m out this month, but that doesn’t mean I didn’t order some clear blue early response tests on Amazon yesterday - they’re making great money off of me atm! I’m due AF either Sunday or Monday, so I’ll try to hold off until it comes to do a test, but I’ve the will power of a squirrel when it comes to POAS… 🙈

@MrsBP15 im sorry, I don’t know much about progesterone levels.

someone did ask me about what podcasts I was listening to that I’d recommend - there’s one called “as a woman” from an American fertility dr called Natalie Crawford that I find very informative. She’s American so obviously some things are different, but she explains things well. She also has a YouTube channel that’s good.

worldwidetravel2017 · 21/09/2023 16:18

My friend is doing private ivf , she spends 100s on stuff 4 progesterone privately

H0pefull · 21/09/2023 17:14

Thank you so much @El1988 🤍🤍
