Hi ladies,

took a few weeks off but have been keeping up with the thread quietly, hope everyone is ok 🤍
CD18 for me.. unsure what DPO I am as .I have decided not to use OPKs this month as I was getting really overwhelmed, trying to somewhat take the pressure off this month. This will be cycle 16 of trying following a MC in June 2022. Has anybody else not used OPKs, just DTD every other day and been successful? I know it obviously does happen but just looking for some re assurance I suppose 😂
had a letter to say if we have not heard from gynaecology following my GP referral by 12th October then I need to contact them, fingers crossed 🤞🏻 xx

Hi hopeful, I never used opks for my son. Only used them once this time too... don't know if I'm a great role model though since I've been trying a year and it took me 2 years to have my son! My cycles were regular and every time I've temped and opkd I've ovd on day 15 so I can't be bothered with the hassle... I think it's totally legitimate to prioritise giving yourself a break though, I'm sorry it's taking so long for you xxx

I can't really answer that one from experience as I've never been pregnant at all. But I think the relaxed approach with DTD every other day is probably the preferred way. If you found OPKs stressful and it was starting to make you feel overwhelmed, then stopping them was the best thing.

We just need to find a way to 'stop' the TWW now because THAT is stressful. I can take OPKs I can withstand taking my temp in a morning but by god the TWW, especially earlier in the TWW is a killer. I'm only 5DPO and itching to POAS 🫣

DPO6 got a very big dip in temp, same happened last month. Like last month it's gone back up on DPO7 but has gone back down a bit now on DPO8. Still above cover line but like last month it will gradually go down in next couple of days and AF due Fri/Sat will arrive so seems cycle 3 is over with for me.

Totally agree the TWW is just the worst, I find it quite draining too sometimes! AF due next thurs (28th) and as I’ve no idea what DPO I am I’m going to try my best to only test if AF doesn’t come…easier said than done though as we all know 😅xxx

I've just realised I am CD19 so we will be expecting to test around the same time @H0pefull !

I keep telling myself I'll wait until late next week to test but in fairness I think I'm just joking with myself because it's highly probable that I'll not wait 😂 Although I'm monitoring BBT which should help, I could just wait for that to dip.

I'll probably start testing this time next week if I'm honest. I know what I'm like, I have an addictive nature and POAS gets addictive 😂

My nips are sore to touch and i've had a few twinges but those were like the last few days which from what I've read is far too early to consider implantation. Something that has really stood out for me is the last two nights I've had really vivid emotional dreams. One of those was that I was pregnant and I genuinely woke up upset (knowing it was a dream). Last night's was weird and it woke me up because I felt emotional from it but now I can't even remember the detail - I just remember waking up and thinking god, I hope I don't go back into that dream!

How about you @H0pefull , any feelings so far?

@H0pefull DTD every other day gives you excellent chances to get pregnant!!! You definitely won't need to worry about OPKs at that point.

My ovulation is today, I think. This medicated IUI process is giving me blazing dark LH lines. It's still higher than the control lines today but just slightly lighter than yesterday, so I'm gonna assume yesterday was peak. I'm freaking the TWW coming up and my inability to control myself around pregnancy tests

Thanks @VixFromThe6ix that’s reassuring. I was started to worry I’d “wasted” a cycle by not using OPKs but my mind is a bit more at ease now. Lots of luck to you heading into TWW, it’s a nightmare isn’t it but hopefully we can keep each other sane 😂

@JustTrying1 I’ve just been VERY emotional today and yesterday which isn’t really like me, and I’ve had backache which again is unusual but I’m assuming both are unrelated. I have some FRER in the house so there’s no way I’ll be able to hold out until AF knowing I have those 😂

@H0pefull oh that's another thing - I was such a moody cow yesterday (DHs words) 😂

I use the Premom tests and I have loads so testing before AF is inevitable for me 😂

@JustTrying1 at least I’m not the only one 😂 not to wish life away but I do wish I could blink and it be this time next week 🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️

@H0pefull I feel exactly the same!! The first part of the TWW is the worst in my opinion. You say wishing your life away over a week... I actually said to DH this morning I wish I could see where we will be in 5 years time!

@EvelynKatie I came off the pill in April after being on it a long time. Suddenly found I had sore boobs a couple of days after OV, I’d never had that before but it happens every month now!

@MOGMOGMOG85 Sending lots of hugs. This journey can be tough at times. Hope you’re ok.

CD13 for me, still low OPKs so hopefully get a high in the next couple of days. xx

Amazingly I've got a BFP on my 9th cycle of TTC #1. Definitely a massive surprise.

@H0pefull and @JustTrying1 I’m on CD22, 8dpo - I think I’ll test tomorrow… I told myself I’d wait another 2 days but I’ve no patience 🙈let me know if you manage to hold out longer!

sort of a funny feeling in my lower abdomen today, I don’t know how to describe really, but I also think I need to stop focussing all my energy on my lower abdomen. The boob squeezing also continues… 🙈 help, I've gone mad…

@El1988 I’m 8DPO too but think I’m out. Feel stronger this month to not test unless AF doesn’t show!

@JustTrying1 7DPO yesterday and I was so grumpy, I swear I wanted to kill DH just for breathing 😂feel much happier this evening, still getting used to these hormones!

@BB2023 thank you for the well wishes!! I had it done yesterday so let's see. My husband's swimmers were rated poor to fair which wasn't very encouraging.

So I just got a reason for waiting to test ..... apparently this trigger shot ovidrel contains HCG!!! Which would explain why I had that positive at 6dpo last cycle! And it takes 10 days to clear out of your blood and urine.... that puts me at 9dpo. So to be safe I gotta wait till at least 10dpo. And that's considered late for me lol

Well I woke in a terrible mood today @EvelynKatie and both of us are working from home for the rest of the week so think I'm going to have to lock myself away in my office 😂

@El1988 I think I'm out this month tbh. Part of the mood im in today is just not hopeful at all. Likely to do with the big temp dip I've had today I don't know. Saying that given I know my moods everything will be hunkydory tomorrow and I'll be back POAS 😂

@VixFromThe6ix are you going to try holding out or going to POAS tomorrow at 10DPO?

I swear POAS is an addiction.
