Eirlys1986 · 27/07/2023 21:10

Well done@SnookyPook , people always seem to find their way back to the page! It took me a week or so last time but then I realised I wasn’t getting any message alerts and worked it out 😂

Mrsspoon3 · 27/07/2023 21:15

Thanks @SnookyPook 😊

MrsBP15 · 27/07/2023 21:20

Hello I haven’t been on any previous threads but can I join?x

Eirlys1986 · 27/07/2023 21:26

Hi @MrsBP15 👋 😊, everyone welcome. Where are you in your ttc story at present? X

MrsBP15 · 27/07/2023 21:41

Thank you @Eirlys1986 if 1986 is the year you were born then we’re the same age! I turned 37 two weeks ago, been ttc with my husband for about six months. Have suspected endometriosis or adenomyosis though not had a laparoscopy to confirm. Cycles are pretty regular between 25-28 days, periods been fairly regular though have been quite short last few months. Been using OPKs and tracking with Flo. Been feeling quite lonely/at sea with it all so would be good to talk to some people 😊

SnookyPook · 27/07/2023 21:57

Welcome @MrsBP15 ! As @Eirlys1986 said, all are welcome! X

Eirlys1986 · 27/07/2023 22:46

@MrsBP15 it is sometimes a really lonely, scary journey at times. Sorry to hear about the possible endometriosis/adenomyosis- are you due to have any tests? I am indeed also 37, we have a 21 month old and now ttc number two. I sadly had a missed miscarriage last month at 8 weeks pregnant and just in my first cycle since that trying again. Body currently refusing to ovulate or show any signs of doing so by day 14 of cycle so that has made me currently a bit fed up but shall keep my fingers crossed for a positive OPK test or signs of one coming tomorrow! The ladies on here were all absolute rockstars last month when I needed them, cannot believe how much support and comfort I’ve had from being here as I’ve never been an “online forum” type person x

VixFromThe6ix · 28/07/2023 04:31

Thanks for tagging everyone @SnookyPook !! At one point I had a list but I couldn't keep up with who was still actively posting. I wish there was an easier way to tag everyone.

Hope everyone can find us 🤞🏻

@Eirlys1986 i’m so sorry for your loss, fingers crossed things work out for you this cycle. Must be so frustrating re ovulation, it’s maddening when it’s so out of our control. No tests planned yet but my husband and I talked about yesterday as we think my period is about to arrive again and I was very upset about it all. I think I’ll call the doctor next week when I’m feeling a bit better hopefully! Thank you for being so kind and welcoming to me x

@VixFromThe6ix thank you for welcoming me as well! This is all pretty new to me and I must say I never thought I’d be someone to post on here but I’m hoping it will help me feel less alone 😊

Bumblebee413 · 28/07/2023 05:59

Thank you @SnookyPook !

Hello @MrsBP15 , you are very welcome here. Sorry that you’ve had such a hard time of it so far x

Eirlys1986 · 28/07/2023 07:33

Finally a flashy face at day 15 😂 , I’ve only got one digital stick left now though 🙄. I am not loving my Sainsbury’s cheapies I got on clearance (all apparently in date) but I’ll have to continue with them alone if no peak tomorrow

RoseH36 · 28/07/2023 08:23

Hello! How on earth do you tag people? Putting the @ with their name isn't working on this thread for me but LeopardLover is another one from the previous thread (glastobaby).

I finally peaked 2 days ago so starting in the Valley of Torment. As it seems to have taken us 3 cycles to get pregnant each time then I'm already ruling this one out and hoping that will be enough in my mind to stop me overthinking for the next 2 weeks.

Still using the cheap OPKs to see how long peak lasts but don't find them as easy to use as Clearblue with it being my own judgement (ironic given the name Easy@Home). It would be so easy to miss your peak with them I think debating whether the lines are dark enough or not. So as expensive as Clearblue are I'll stick to them.

Eirlys1986 · 28/07/2023 09:26

@RoseH36 , I also found this morning the clear blue monitor was flashing whereas my estimation of the LH at home strip was that it looked equally negative as the day before when the clear blue monitor was reading zero. I will also stick to clear blue and quietly cry into my tea about the price ☕️ 😭

Welcome @MrsBP15 - it is a lonely journey, and these kind of unrelentingly supportive groups can be a lifeline! I was on a rainbow babies thread on my first ttc journey and I honestly love those women so much. Glad to hear @Eirlys1986 got so much support on this one too.

Before your period is the worst possible time - or the valley of torment as @RoseH36 accurately calls it - the 2 weeks after ovulation. I'm cd22 today of a 27-28 day cycle. For some reason around cd18-19 I start getting really hopeful. Yesterday was a hopeful day - I cried in front of my colleagues, I've been moody, metallic taste, shooting pains in breast, and hot flushes to the face which happened before my positive test with my son. I've also been eating a lot of potato salad with black pepper which is a weird thing I had with my son too. I know it's way too early for cravings so don't know if I'm subconsciously making things up, or I just fancied potato salad!!!

Anyway today no red face, still emotional but less so, no sore breasts, slight metallic taste. Feel not hopeful, so now just the long wait for my period and the emotional roller coaster.

It's so much comfort to know we are all on this journey together and all going through the monthly arrival of af and the hormones and the what ifs xxx

MOGMOGMOG85 · 28/07/2023 10:40

And the symptom spotting - dear god the symptom spotting!!! To make things worse I'm waiting to hear the outcome of a job interview today, one I really want, and felt i did really well at interview (bar one question), but obviously don't know who the competition is and know the decision maker has high standards (why I want to join the team)..

Chrissy1208 · 28/07/2023 11:05

Hi everyone! I hope you don’t mind me also joining your thread ☺️ since having my MMC in June I have found reading others stories and the support on this page amazing! I honestly think I’d of hit rock bottom without it x

MrsBP15 · 28/07/2023 11:08

Thank you @MOGMOGMOG85 it's so great to have this lifeline. My husband is super supportive but, for obvious reasons will never totally get it and my friends have either had babies really easily or have gone through IVF and I'm not quite there yet so haven't really spoken to them about it.

Are you a big tester in TWW? I haven't tested at all apart from once when we first started back in Feb. I know what you mean about symptom spotting! I don't really get much in the way of symptoms for my period other than bad back cramps so I'm always on the look out. This cycle I had sensitive/sore boobs, a bit of dizziness/lightheadiness, a little bit of nausea and very vivid dreams (although that can be quite normal for me). I also normally have very light pink spotting in the 4-5 days leading up to my period and had nothing so was feeling really hopeful. I even bought a few tests a s period was due yesterday! Then, on the way back from Cornwall in a Services loo yesterday, I noticed a dot in my underwear and sure enough when I wiped there was some dark/rust spotting. This lasted most of the day yesterday with some mild cramps. Real fun times as I had a total breakdown in the services and I'm not talking about the car!! Thankfully my husband was there to look after me.

Today, tiny bit of pink spotting and mild cramps again. I'm assuming period is on the way or it's just a super light one this month.....fun times!!

SnookyPook · 28/07/2023 11:10

Welcome @Chrissy1208 ! Sorry to hear of your loss. Unfortunately I had a MMC too back in April so I know it's a horrible place to be.

Currently 2/3dpo here and gearing up for the rollercoaster ride of the valley of torment! Last month I got super emotional and was symptom spotting all over the place despite being determined not to... Let's see what this cycle brings!!

Bumblebee413 · 28/07/2023 12:25

Welcome @Chrissy1208 ! Let us know how it goes today @MOGMOGMOG85. Sending you positive thoughts and also, well done on doing your best in the interview. It sounds like you were brilliant x
