16 DPO, high temp, AF due tomorrow

Hi All,

Got myself in a bit if a tiz - this TWW as been awful.

Have been trying on and off for a very stressful 18 months, all without a sniff of a BFP.

But this month I have felt so different. After O (tested with CB O test and temping). Had soooo many symptoms; nausea, cramps, bad taste in mouth, headaches, creamy cm and dizziness all varying from 5DPO until today (16 DPO). As I have never normally experienced any of this during the TWW I have been convinced I would be seeing BFP soon. Temp has been measuring high (and still is today) but after getting a BFN today when I tested, im worried I've just imagined all of it. I used CB early detection and It wasn't with my first urine of the day (I was trying to hold out until Tuesday if no AF Tomorrow....I failed!).
As Im slowly driving myself mad, I was just wondering if anyone got BFN at this point and went onto the see BFP? Could it be that I didn't use first urine of the day??

Clutching at straws I guess, but there is always hope until AF arrives

@mushroomushroom I know. I feel like its going to be a huge battle just to get them to listen to me. It all seems a bit hopeless today.

Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day. I hope so too but don't think my line is coming back this time 😔 x x x

I'm back at home at my parents house for Christmas now, but will continue working from home for the next week. The spotting kind of tailed off yesterday, then today it was red 😔 enough to put a pad on just in case. Period is due on Sunday but I suspect it will start early. I'm looking forward to it almost, I'm sick of having this constant spotting. I took a load of tests with me anyway so I'll keep checking, although all are BFNs so far.

If it arrives though I'll meet some old friends from university in town for some drinks :)

@RCARB ohh it's crap isn't it.
I've got my usual symptoms leading up to AF so 99 percent sure it's coming. I've not even tested this month despite being tempted. I just can't bring myself to stare at one line, it will just break me.
Got my son's party on Sunday and my cousins heavily pregnant who is coming so just a reminder of pregnancy. It's just can't be avoided not to think about it. Even though I try not to think about it.
I am so lucky to have my boy though that doesn't get lost on me at all. Parenting is so tough but I'd love him to have a sibling. I don't see this happening naturally for us though.

@RCARB yep, AF got me. Thought having a month off next month would be liberating, but actually I feel sick at the thought :/ the worst part is we'll miss each other on OV by days only.

I had made plans to meet a friend in town this evening, was going to drive so I would have an excuse to be off the drinks, now I'm going to take the bus and will be having as many cocktails as I fancy, and I'll top it off with garlic and cheese chips!! It's a pity my nice Christmas clothes don't fit me too well at the moment, I'll have to make do with my little (babyless) paunch popping out 😂

So I waited till today 14dpo to do a test ! I wasn't even going to test but then had the urge just so I could relax a bit and stop thinking "what if".
Of course, it was a big fat single line staring back at me. Negative. Again.
Feel so deflated by it. Think will stop tracking next month and have a few months off doing the ovulation tests.
Period is due tomorrow and I have the usual period pains and drop it energy.
I don't even know why I tested. I promised myself I wouldn't.
It's like I enjoy the pain of seeing the negative or something.
Anyway! Merry Christmas! At least we can have a bloody boozy one eh!!!

Happy Christmas @RCARB !! I hope you had a lovely week! I've spent the last two weeks either lying down on the sofa with a hangover or out with my friends, quite nice actually! I ovulated a few days ago and it's actually quite freeing to be able to go out for cocktails and not feel guilty!

Your festive season sounds very similar to mine 😂 I've either had food or drink in my hand at any given time! I've loved it! Haha

I have tracked ovulation just so I know where I am upto but it was so nice not being so regimented over BD and just going with the flow when we want to, not when we feel like we have to!

On a bit of a come down after such a nice Christmas but nice to get the decs down and start eating healthy again. House is still full of biscuits and chocolates but will leave them for emergencies lol.
I've not tracked ovulation this month so really not sure when it was - I had EWCM from day 9 this cycle until about yesterday. We've DTD a few times in that period. It actually felt great not tracking and felt so much more relaxed so I'm going to give it another 2-3 months not tracking and then I'll start tracking again.
My nipples are very very sore and sometimes are after ovulation so I think it has passed. Does anyone else get this after ovulation?

Unfortunately very early for a line like that, majority test negative at 8DPO. I would suspect evap.

Doesn't mean you aren't pregnant though.

@Outliers yes, I agree! Have another this morning with same line but still not convinced.

Have another batch and brand of tests arriving so will try again in a couple of days.

Doesn't look like an evap to me!! Especially if you got another line today. Fingers crossed this is the real deal. Get some FRERS these are the best tests x

Is this 9dpo? If so and you've had lines yesterday too I'd say that's positive. Mine was like that at 9dpo.

@Notmatthewmcconaughey yes, the latest was today and have done two others today with same reading. Im around 8/9 DPO I think today.

I'm telling myself they are evaps on a dodgy batch of tests so I'm not too disappointed when it doesn't amount to anything. For the last two cycles before this one I have had the same but much later on (12 and 14DPO) and the line disappears after 24 hours. 😔

Sorry @RCARB I'm only just seeing these!! I don't want to be getting your hopes up again after the last couple of rounds, but I do really genuinely find it hard to believe that these are all just evaps, unless that batch well and truly is fcked. Have you tried one with just water, or your husband's urine, just to check?

The LH test from today is darker than the one from yesterday, which also seems promising. Maybe if you keep the urine in a cup after you do a test, and if you get a line on one and think it might be an evap, try another test using the same pee?

@mushroomushroom I know, it so hard but I think its just too early to mean anything.

I've ran out of tests now, have done 4 today 🙈 but I did two on the same urine.

I have some more easy at home strips coming tomorrow and FRERS coming on Monday. Im still not due on for 7 days!! It just doesn't add up. I think I will do the easy at home when they come and if still coming up with a line on Monday I will try the FRER.

I just k ow it won't amount to anything again. I have a doctors appointment on the 15th to discuss my blood test as there was an abnormality with one of the findings. Maybe that will shed some light on the situation and there will be something we can fix?

Feet are firmly on the ground this round. I can take another disappointment like the last couple. That would be 3 in a row! X x x x

I would honestly stop using these tests and try and wait every month till your period is actually due and save you the torture. You could still be pregnant and it's picking up some HCG. Would be too early for a strong line anyway. Hope you're ok.
I've had food poisoning this week and been so unwell so pretty sure we are out. Didn't track ovulation this month either. Period due in week or so x

@Elisabeth3468 I'm actually okay you know. I feel kind of positive about it all. Like atleast something is actually happening. Sounds weird I know. Im absolutely fine.
Atleast I have the appointment at the docs on the 15th and have my accupunture tomorrow.
