16 DPO, high temp, AF due tomorrow

Hi All,

Got myself in a bit if a tiz - this TWW as been awful.

Have been trying on and off for a very stressful 18 months, all without a sniff of a BFP.

But this month I have felt so different. After O (tested with CB O test and temping). Had soooo many symptoms; nausea, cramps, bad taste in mouth, headaches, creamy cm and dizziness all varying from 5DPO until today (16 DPO). As I have never normally experienced any of this during the TWW I have been convinced I would be seeing BFP soon. Temp has been measuring high (and still is today) but after getting a BFN today when I tested, im worried I've just imagined all of it. I used CB early detection and It wasn't with my first urine of the day (I was trying to hold out until Tuesday if no AF Tomorrow....I failed!).
As Im slowly driving myself mad, I was just wondering if anyone got BFN at this point and went onto the see BFP? Could it be that I didn't use first urine of the day??

Clutching at straws I guess, but there is always hope until AF arrives

CB aren't that sensitive so it could be that. First responses are impossible to get hold off atm but the rapid ones are still on Amazon- they're not early tests but you can test from the day of your period or the boots early detection ones are sensitive.

Boots early response seem to get really good reviews from people so maybe order some of them aswell?

I will call into boots on my lunch break tomorrow and pick one up. Its so confusing. I thought CB would have been more reliable/sensitive, given the price of them! Thanks for your comment 💜. Hopefully there is still a chance for me x x x

I would avoid clearblue as they give horrible evaps, I just had one a few days ago and I won't lie it did get my hopes up. I have never had a problem with internet cheapie tests (I buy easy at home and Premom, I use their LH sticks too, I love them). I don't think they're as sensitive as a frer though. I really hope you get your bfp xx

Thanks for the info! I'm sorry if you have had some disappointment too. Its so hard, isn't it?! I will definitely bear that in mind for future. I don't know why I just thought CB would be the way to go. I should have researched more on the tests. Thank you!! X x

No test but temp drop this morning (AF due date)....I guess I'm out 😔

Yes, it's sucks so much doesn't it? Currently have really bad period pain 😓

I think clearblue is a good choice if you definitely are pregnant 😅 but for me the false positive was too painful, and I've seen on here that so many other women have had false positives on them too.

RE temping and a drop, this is why I'm going to stop temping about a week after confirmed ovulation, I was getting so upset by fluctuations :/ it's not a great way to start your day is it, getting upset by a dropped temp :/ to be honest I don't think it def means you're out, wait until your period starts. I actually don't get a temp drop until after my period has begun, and I've seen pregnant charts where temp dropped for a day or two but they actually were pregnant. I know exactly what you mean. I liked the temping at first because I felt atleast I was doing something (when it was too early to test) but I agree when you see variations its heartbreaking. Its hard enough starting the day sometimes without the confusion/upset it adds too. I think the TWW is just a tough wait all around isn't it? Hope your pains disappear and you get your BFP too x x x x

@RCARB Sorry I didn't update before, AF also arrived for me on Sunday 😓

I'm going to go back to temping and OPKs, but I'm not going to temp in the lead up to AF as it's just not worth the extra anxiety. Have to take this next month off as I will be traveling for work during fertile week (would you believe I didn't arrange to get some travel vaccines because I had hoped several months ago that I would be pregnant now... let's hope that doesn't bite me on the backside and I don't end up with the mega shits for it. The stupid way we think when TTC 😔).

Hi there! I currently have my period 🤣 was painful yesterday but ok today, heavy though 😅

Actually feeling ok about it as we went to the doctor and will do medicated IUI next cycle! Unless of course it works naturally this coming month 😁

I'm 13 DPO today, AF due on Wednesday. Tested and a clear BFN again. Not had very many feelings/symptoms this cycle, except a stinking headache for the last couple of days (which is not really unusual for me) and I had leg pains (that I usually get the day before AF) a few days ago, with light cramps. Im trying to keep positive but I don't think we have managed it this month.

If not, I've promised myself to make an appointment with my GP to make sure all is okay....I just need to be brave I guess! Sounds silly but im so scared incase something is actually wrong.

Anyway....I really hope it all works out for you and get get your BFP 💜

AF showed last month.. and again I'm due on tomorrow but no symptoms of pregnancy. Currently waiting for my timer to go off so I can check the test next to me 🤣 I'm too scared to look. Can't face another BFN.

@RCARB did AF def arrive today? Three days early seems funny, do you know when you ovulated, or how long your LP is?

I know going to the doctors is scary :/ but if there is something amiss that can be helped by medicine then it's better to get the ball rolling :) and I can say from personal experience that having a plan feels good.

In other personal news, I bought a new fertility lube, conceive plus, we had been using preseed and were nearing the end of the tube, also tried a german one (which was terrible, felt like an anti lube, it made sex painful!), so I'm pretty excited to use it this month :) who knows, maybe it will make the difference :D

Its been a really horrible day buy I feel alot better this evening after much crying and stuffing my face.

AF has not arrived yet just super light spotting this morning but its on its way. I suspect will be here come morning. Yep, im deffo certain on ovulation dates comfirmed with tests and BBT. Im normally like clockwork every month. Ovulate day 13 and AF arrives 17 DPO. I don't know what happened this month. If I don't come on tomorrow I'm going to be majorly confused. I'd just rather have it now, otherwise my heart is hoping there is still a chance this month but my brain knows there isn't .

Ahhhhh I keep seeing people refer to preseed and had no idea what it was. Keep meaning to look it up. Would you recommend it? I may have to invest. Im trying all kinds to make sure we are both enjoying "our time" should I say haha. I think my husband thinks all his Christmas's have come at once come ovulation week 🤣🤣 (sorry for the over share!! Haha)

@RCARB did AF start yet? I know what you mean about wanting it to start because you know you're out already.

I def recommend getting a fertility lube, the regular lives are bad for sperm cells, plus after a while of TTC i find it's much easier to just reach for the lube 😅 nine times out of ten sex is still v enjoyable, but every so often when one or both of us is knackered but we still need to do it, it is not so fun 😅 we're lucky though that DP can still "finish" even if he's not particularly in the mood, I know a lot of women on here have partners who struggle with that!

I'm feeling far less upbeat today 😅 I'm just so sick of it all, sometimes it's ok, sometimes it's too much to bear. It'll pass, but this morning is hard. In the spirit of looking forward instead of backwards, I'm ovulating in approx 6 days, so this weekend will be a fun one 😂

Nope! 😖. Woke up this morning and had the same spotting as yesterday morning but nothing since. My temp has dipped though and Im getting my usual leg pain and starting to get cramps this pm. I guess my usual 17 DPO AF arrival will take place. Urgh!

Ahhhhh I think ill get some for next ovulation. Have you ever used a fertility cup? I've seen this mentioned a few times too. Considering giving that a whirl aswell. Preseed is already in the basket awaiting checkout!! Thank you for the advice.

I feel very similar today. Im still so upset and just fed up of everything! It doesn't help that I sit 5 feet from 2 pregnant women in work. I don't begrudge anyone their pregnancy by the way(like at all!!), im not horrible. It's just hard to sit there with period cramps, a headache and AF due imminently just wishing it was you that got their BFP 😔. I promise im not a horrible person! Its just so hard on days like today.

No more spotting since this morning. Pains have stopped after an hour or so and AF still not here!! I'm slowly going mad!!! WTF is going on?!?! 😖
