16 DPO, high temp, AF due tomorrow

Hi All,

Got myself in a bit if a tiz - this TWW as been awful.

Have been trying on and off for a very stressful 18 months, all without a sniff of a BFP.

But this month I have felt so different. After O (tested with CB O test and temping). Had soooo many symptoms; nausea, cramps, bad taste in mouth, headaches, creamy cm and dizziness all varying from 5DPO until today (16 DPO). As I have never normally experienced any of this during the TWW I have been convinced I would be seeing BFP soon. Temp has been measuring high (and still is today) but after getting a BFN today when I tested, im worried I've just imagined all of it. I used CB early detection and It wasn't with my first urine of the day (I was trying to hold out until Tuesday if no AF Tomorrow....I failed!).
As Im slowly driving myself mad, I was just wondering if anyone got BFN at this point and went onto the see BFP? Could it be that I didn't use first urine of the day??

Clutching at straws I guess, but there is always hope until AF arrives

I'm so sorry, that is gutting. I really feel for you. Can you go out and get a frer?
My period Is due either today or tomorrow but not here yet. I'm pretty sure it will come though. This whole ttc game is draining

I think I'm going to wait to see if AF comes tomorrow. I cant face another test today now after all that.
The TWW is awful! Surely there should be a quicker way to find out by now.

That's fair enough. It's horrible being in limbo. It could possibly be a chemical which would explain the earlier positive . But hope it's just late implantation and maybe your hcg taking a while to build up! X

I think AF is definitely on its way 😔. I am still spotting brown/pink but only when wiping (sorry TMI) and have got cramps again this morning.
I can't belive I've gone from feeling so positive to so sad in such a short space of time. Nothing I can do though so there is no point dwelling on it. Its just rubbish 😣 x x x x

It would be such a kick in the teeth for that test to have been a false positive, and I really really hope that isn't what's happened. I just find it so hard to believe because that's such a clear line.

I'm not sure what AF starting is like for you, but for me pre-spotting is always visible on my knickers and not just on the tissue. Any changes in flow since you wrote?

I know there's no point dwelling, but you should absolutely have a big cry this evening, rollercoasters like this are so draining 😔 xxxx

I have had some marks on my pad when I've just been to the loo but only very light. The spotting is getting more red than brown now though, so definitely on its way.

Its just so upsetting. I knew I shouldn't have believed it yesterday. All seemed too good to be true. I guess it was....

Oh @RCARB I'm so sorry, how unbelievably cruel life is sometimes 😔 I'm still hoping that AF doesn't arrive, I just can't believe that a test like that yesterday could have been a fluke.

Af is here and shes come with her awful mates cramps and headache.
Luckily I'm wfh today because I've been an emotional mess all afternoon. I just can't believe something so clear could have been a false positive. I've never had a sniff of a line before? Nevermind something so clear! Its just so draining.

@RCARB how are you feeling? Been thinking of you. I can feel my period coming and craving lots of chocolate . Just nipped out to by myself a slab of dairy milk 🤣

@RCARB I wonder was it a chemical pregnancy maybe? Has AF fully arrived? I'm sorry you've got such awful cramps and headache 😣 what a huge shitshow rollercoaster this all is :/ I'm sorry you're back feeling awful, the disappointment is huge, especially when you've had an actual positive test!!!

I'm ok, another (two 🤪) BFNs today, to be expected cause I'm 8dpo. I had been feeling good about it but over the last couple of days I've been feeling a bit more convinced that I'm not pregnant this month. Time will tell, but I'm expecting my period will start on cue this weekend. Actually after typing that out I just realised it won't cause of the progesterone. If I'm still getting BFNs on Sunday then I'll stop the pessaries, which will delay my period to mid next week.

@mushroomushroom Thank you! There's always next month eh! I'm going to try and not obsess or symptom spot next month as it's really not helpful to be honest and a bit mentally draining. Looking forward to Christmas and I will have a 2 year old the end of December. Honestly time goes so fast and I always said I wanted to be pregnant by his second birthday at least! But here we are. I am blessed though I can't moan. They really are all little miracles x

Yes AF is fully here. I feel terrible tbh. Just wiped out , but alot that could just be a drama of the day. I'm giving my self today to cry and mope but determined to snap out of it tomorrow. Im sick of feeling like this. Need to just look to the future. I finally got the appointment for my ultra sound today, which again was a bit of a kick to the gut at the time but im glad it's finally come through. I have that next week on Tuesday. So I just need to be kind to myself in the meantime.

@RCARB 😔😔 ugh I'm so sorry, how are you doing today?

That's good you've got your appointment for the ultrasound next week! It's something to focus on, I found that even just having the appointment for the doctor made me feel a lot less anxious. Always feels good to have a plan and be "moving" if you know what I mean.

And thank you! ☺️ I didn't bother testing this morning cause I figured why waste a test, and I'm staying at my colleagues tonight because I have to be in at 7am tomorrow and she lives right by work, so I won't test tomorrow morning either. Am 9dpo, so will be either night time 10dpo when I test, or 11dpo.

@RCARB hope you are feeling a bit brighter today.
I'm due on today and nothing yet but got those period pains so I know it's coming. Just want to get onto the next cycle to get trying again! I'm so exhausted too.

Thanks ladies! Its been a tough morning but felt better this afternoon. I went shopping on my lunch break and bought some Christmas decorations....thats my happiness haha.

@mushroomushroom a couple of days off testing might do you some good....but I already know your like me and your already thinking about doing that test at 10DPO 🤣. Keep me updated dear.

Period arrived in the night full flow and awful cramps 😩. I knew in my heart it was coming. Onto next month !

Thanks girls! I'm genuinely feeling quite positive. I find the guessing game in the TWW worse than when my period arrives. It's like I can forget about it now for a bit. Got lots of festivities planned and my son's birthday coming up to focus on.This month I'll be tracking ovulation and then deleting my app so I can forget about things in the TWW. It took up too much of my mental headspace last month and it didn't change the outcome!
Hopefully we all get our BFP soon 🙏

Hiya ladies, so I did my test this evening after work, not even a hint of a line. 10dpo today, I don't have strong hopes for this cycle 😬

Am now lying on the couch eating crisps to drown my sorrows 😂

@mushroomushroom thank god your have crisps!! I'm sorry dear, but your never know 10DPO is still pretty early.

Heya, 12dpo and bfn this morning :/ will wait until tomorrow and if it's a bfn again I'll stop taking the progesterone and wait for my period. It's all a whole load of crap, I don't know why I bother trying to be positive about it anymore 😅

Probably it's a mix of the progesterone and my impending period, but I am in a terrible ragey mood today 😂 even worse that I had dreamt that I had gotten a strong bfp, and the dream was so vivid that I was convinced that it had happened and that of course the test would be positive because they already had been positive 🙄

Urgh! I'm so sorry dear. This week has been utter crap all round. I will be glad to see the back of it for all of us. I still have hope for you though! Its not over until that red witch arrives. How have your been feeling on the progesterone this time?

Im okay. I have been an emotional mess all week though. I cried at my accupunture appointment last night. I felt like a proper pleb at the time but afterward felts so much better. He was so lovely about it all and did his best to make me feel less silly- which I always appreciate 🤣. Looking forward to a gin filled weekend with my husband.

Hope you manage to have a nice weekend dear. Try and relax and do some nice things just for you 😘. I will be thinking all the positive thoughts i can muster up! x x x x x
