16 DPO, high temp, AF due tomorrow

Hi All,

Got myself in a bit if a tiz - this TWW as been awful.

Have been trying on and off for a very stressful 18 months, all without a sniff of a BFP.

But this month I have felt so different. After O (tested with CB O test and temping). Had soooo many symptoms; nausea, cramps, bad taste in mouth, headaches, creamy cm and dizziness all varying from 5DPO until today (16 DPO). As I have never normally experienced any of this during the TWW I have been convinced I would be seeing BFP soon. Temp has been measuring high (and still is today) but after getting a BFN today when I tested, im worried I've just imagined all of it. I used CB early detection and It wasn't with my first urine of the day (I was trying to hold out until Tuesday if no AF Tomorrow....I failed!).
As Im slowly driving myself mad, I was just wondering if anyone got BFN at this point and went onto the see BFP? Could it be that I didn't use first urine of the day??

Clutching at straws I guess, but there is always hope until AF arrives

@mushroomushroom hahaha I know! I think maybe we were separated at birth. Im a twin, maybe they brought the wrong baby home😂! I'm obviously kidding, I am a twin though but with a brother not a long lost sister! 🤭

Yeh, have never had a line like that in the window before on a E@H. Legitimately I mean. Naturally I pretend to myself when they have dried out that it was in the window...you know because the TWW isn't torture enough 🙈! I will test in the morning. I don't have any boots tests. I have a couple of early clear blue and a handful of strips left. Will see how I get on with the strips in the morning, thats if u manage not to waste them all this evening forcing out wee to test!! 🤣 Tried to get some FRER but they seem to have disappeared. Have they been discontinued now?

I agree. It will come, im sure . Fingers crossed we are both still in with a chance this month 🥰 xxx

Mornings! Well I've tested FMU and a BFN 😑.

Im 13 DPO this morning. AF is due on Monday (I think!). Going to hold off testing again now until then.

I've woken up with a terrible headache today too. So more convinced now that the crimson Witch is on her way, ready to ruin any lovely Christmas reveal dreams I was having 😔. What a crappy day!

How are you feeling today? Any symptoms to spot? X x x

Morning! Ah feck, I'm sorry to hear that! But as you know it doesn't necessarily mean anything! Was it with the easy at home ones? It's just the worst feeling in the world seeing them 😔 try not to let it ruin your weekend, and hopefully your period doesn't show!! Is the headache the only thing? No backache or anything?

No symptoms for me here, I did a test this morning (stupid I know, 5dpo) which was obv negative. It's so annoying because I'm dying for a glass (or several) of wine 😬 I'm on the progesterone again so I'm not going to bother looking for symptoms because it will definitely be causing them. If by the following Sunday I get a bfn I'll stop taking it.

It's nice that you have a twin!! So lucky!! I'm an only child, I always dreamt of having siblings (but I'm happy with just me and my parents!). Do twins run in your family? Xxxx

@mushroomushroom I know right haha. Yeh an easy at home fist and second wee of the day. No other AF symptoms, I usually get ache legs the day before so I'll see if they develop. I do feel really sick, not sure if its just because its a bad headache but I feel really nauseous.

Dont worry, there is no judgement here. I've been testing since 4DPO this cycle! 🤣. Do what ever keeps you sane!! I have everything crossed for you.

No, not on my side. We were the first surprise set 🤣. They do run in DH family though. I would love to have twins. I think that would be the absolute jackpot! X x x

I think it's a good idea to wait a few more days, because you never know what will happen! That said I can never follow my own advice, I often end up going through at least one "nice" test 😅 I've also been known to test even after my period has started "just in case" 🤣 so if you do test between now and then, no judgement here! I really have my fingers and toes and everything crossed for you!

God twins really would be the jackpot wouldn't it 😍 sometimes when I'm daydreaming I wonder about how it would be to have identical twins, how do you manage not mixing them up?! Is it awful to like pain one of their toenails or something? 🤣😅 Twins are in my family on my mums side, so who knows!! Xxxx

@mushroomushroom Hahaha I do that too just to rule it out 🤣. I've seen loads of preachy/ranty thread on here about testing too early and so often but I don't see what harm it does? If I don't test im too anxious incase I'm living in a dream world. I would rather know, which I know sounds crazy because I am testing that much because I don't want to believe the BFN but atleast im prepared for them. I dunno, it makes sense to me haha.

Hahah I know, I've always thought that. I bet they have accidently swapped names so many times and they don't even know haha.

I had a migraine until late afternoon with sickness all morning. No other cramps or signs of AF so who knows whats going on. I just really hope I don't wake up with another tomorrow!! Hope you had a nice Friday and have lots of lovely plans for the weekend 😘 xxx

I know, my doctor even told me not to do it so as not to stress myself out, which did not work 😂 I didn't use any opk's or test or anything and by the end of the month I was more stressed than ever and went on a testing frenzy cause I couldn't stop thinking about it 😂 didn't get pregnant anyway!

Oh no I'm sorry to hear you had a migraine!! That sucks so much!! Do you get them frequently? I used to get them a lot but after some treatment I'm down to maybe 3 or 4 a year! It's not fun now though cause I don't take my special painkillers (zomig) if it's during the TWW as I'm always afraid to just in case I actually am pregnant. I hope you got some relief and that it doesn't last into today!! How are you feeling this morning? I hope you got a good nights sleep!!

I actually feel mega guilty today, I was invited to a dinner party last night and I ended up drinking a few glasses of wine (I wasn't drunk or anything, but still), and feel so guilty today 😬 I know logically that implantation wouldn't have occurred yet but still, the guilt 😬 I'm gonna make up for it today, I'm spending the morning having a coffee and looking up healthy recipes, and I'm going to go do a big food shop and clean in the afternoon :) then I'll do some knitting and put the telly on, and if I can get some wood today, I'll light the fire!

I'm exactly the same 🤣 its makes me more stressed trying to not to test. Even though I know its going to be a BFN I feel better just doing the test. Its bizzare really haha.

I've been fine today, headache wise. I've always suffered with headaches really. If I'm ill or just a bit under the weather, I always get a headache. Not normally to the extent of a migraine though. Just a bit wuzzy really. I usually get them during ovulation and then again just before AF arrives so I suspect it a pre period headache really. Have had heavy legs today, not achey, just heavy. I think the closer I am getting the AF date the more I'm coming to terms with being out this month. Annoying really s have been really hopeful this time.

Oh don't beat yourself up too much. It was only a couple of glasses of wine. Its done now anyway dont feel guilty! That sounds like a super productive day. I spent the morning doing a big clean and spent the afternoon watching Seinfeld on Netflix cuddled up on the couch with my heater on. I live a super exciting life 🤣.
I'm fighting the urge to start the Christmas film binge but its still just that tiny bit early for me yet. Maybe next weekend.... 🥰

Feeling a little sad tonight. I think AF will be there when I wake up tomorrow 😔.
Have got pre period aches in my tummy and one of mylegs, not too full on but they are there. Had a tiny bit of brown spotting this morning too. I thought the new pinching pains that I had 8 -11 DPO could possibly have been implantation but I guess I was wrong.
Currently scouring the Internet to see if this could still lead to a BFP 😬 x x x

Firstly I been where you have been. Having all the synptoms under the sun and AF shows up. It is never reliable....

CB is not good to use early on. Try use the cheapie sricks that can read 10uml.

I'm glad the headache wasn't too bad yesterday :) my guilt eased up thank god! 7dpo today, another bfn (obv). I had quite bad cramping last night, to the point that I thought it might become the horror endometriosis pain, but it didn't :) I didn't take my painkillers either. It could have been wind, I ate loads of biscuits and crisps which probably didn't help 😂

I'm sorry to hear that you were sad yesterday 😔 it's such an awful rollercoaster isn't it. How are you today? Did you have any more spotting? I really hope it doesn't turn into your period xxxxx

@mushroomushroom Oh good, im glad your not still being hard on yourself over that. Its no good stressing yourself our further. Oh lordy horror endometriosis pain sounds absolutely awful. So glad you didn't have that too!! I honestly haven't stopped eating for thr last week. I've just wok up and had 6 squares of chocolate with my brew....no reason it was just there 🤣.

I feel okay they morning. I think some sleep has helped me come to terms with it all alot more. No AF yet just some spotting again but only when wiping (sorry TMI!). No cramps of funny aches today (so far) either. It really is a rollercoaster! I hope its doesn't too but I feel like its going to. For the first time im terrified to even test. I think of AF doesn't show today or tomorrow I will test on Tuesday. I think she will though. Think she will be here bright and early tomorrow...what a b*h!! 🤣

@mushroomushroom Well .....I have had horrific leg ache this afternoon so of course, I decided as I know its going to be a BFN I couldn't wait until tomorrow to test. Obviously I decided this 5 mins ago (the complete wrong time to test) and did an easy at home. .....👀 x x x

Deffo see that congratulations! Sorry to jump on the post but just been reading back about you've been having AF cramps. I'm 12dpo and tested negative this morning and keep feeling like AF is coming but nothing yet. I'm still holding out hope!
How many dpo are you now ? My period is due tomorrow/tuesdya

@Swirls346 Don't be sorry, I'm having a mild freak out incase its an just an evap. We have been trying for so long now, I just can't believe this could be our BFP. Im 15DPO today. AF is due on 17DPO. Im always like clockwork. The spotting and cramps have worried me more than anything really. Im convinced ill wake up tomorrow and AF will be fully here.
How long have you been trying for? Its so hard not to get swept along with all the emotions.

@RCARB Really hope this is it for you, how long have you been trying? Is it your first?
I know the feeling about it taking so long, it's just draining isn't it. My little boy is 2 next month and it took us 18 months with him and we actually had IVF in the end (my cycles were very irregular though). This time round this is cycle 6 of trying. Last month I had a chemical which was gutting, I didn't test positive till 2 days after my period was due and got positives for 3 days and then I started bleeding. I knew something wasnt right deep down though so didn't get too excited. We have known fertility issues though so getting pregnant naturally surprised me. But it's made me more obsessed because before the chemical we were trying but my expectations were so low of it ever happening naturally! But now I think well something happened that month so the sperm met the egg. It's such a tough time though. I think I'm out this month to be honest but just trying to clutch onto anything. If I am I'm going to hide all my tests and stop obsessing because it's all very consuming. Hope ur ok x

We have been trying for about 18 months now so its been a long hard slog. Its our first. We have just started the tests to make sure all is okay. All bloods and sperm tests have come back fine. Waiting on a referral to a fertility clinic for further checks.
I'm sorry, you have gone through all this. Just because you have known issues doesn't make it easier. Like you say it all messes with your expectations. If your anything like me, your either high with your head in the clouds for of all hopes and could bes or really low when reality starts to hit and you know its another failed cycle. Im terrible for testing. It makes me feel better. Even if I know its going to be BFN.
I think thats what I'm worried about because its such a late possible positive (the only one I've EVER had) and im still spotting. I keep thinking it cant be right. Its just hard isn't it.

OMG @RCARB !!!! No mistaking that!!!! Have you done one this morning? God I'm so excited for you!!!

Try not to let the spotting stress you out, I had spotting for ages and everything was fine! It stopped at around 6 weeks I think :) and my mam had spotting (and even bigger bleeds!) with me, and I'm still going strong 36 years later!

I'm also glad you took the LH test too, I'm always so curious to see how they will look with a positive test 🤣

Do you have a non-strip one? I would go out at lunchtime (or before work if you have time) to get a proper test (not clearblue), a sensitive one, the boots ones are apparently good.

I have literally never seen an evap on the easy@home ones look like the test you got last night.

I've read plenty of threads where women find that fmu doesn't work as well for them as later in the day, even early evening.

Do your best not to stress yourself (not easy I know), especially in case you are pregnant. You haven't started your period yet, you aren't out.

I have a cheapie that I got from amazon (pregna check i think they are called) no idea how sensitive they are.

I'm so worried to test again now. I just can't belive it. After such a clear line (that I have NEVER seen on any test in the whole 18 months of trying) to nothing. It just sucks! X x x

Wait a little bit until you do it, don't drink anything and then wait a couple of hours, you want it to be really concentrated. I can imagine how nervous you are to test again 😔♥️
