I kind of knew it was coming because my fatigue and nausea really reduced yesterday as well as the SPD twinges. Not gone completely which I guess is common - still got the sensitive smell and aversions but I know these aren’t reliable and will probably drop off now.

Rosie250 · 09/06/2023 15:30

Awesome this is super super helpful thank you!! I’ll be testing again tomorrow morning and hoping for a bit of a darker line :)

Rosie250 · 09/06/2023 15:32

Sorry to hear but love the positivity for the next month! I’ve been TTC #2 for almost a year and this is the first whiff of a VVFL so I know the disappointment each month. If it helps I did two things differently which may have contributed this month: I did a HyCoSy (tubes clear but had read that the flush out that help fertility a lot) and I also supplemented with progesterone in luteal phase 🤷🏼‍♀️

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 09/06/2023 15:38

@Rosie250 and @DmcinT good luck for testing tomorrow, fingers are crossed for you!

@Rosie250 where did you get the progesterone from and how much did you take?

@TheFanciestPants that's really confusing, I can see why you'd definitely want to have male fertility consultant help first as you conceived naturally this year already. Hopefully that part will be fast, and there're some immediate things they can do.

Your poor friend, 14 rounds of ivf. So glad she got her twins.

@CurlyWurly1991 I'm really sorry, hope you're doing okay today. It's so demoralising

Un7breakable · 09/06/2023 15:53

@CurlyWurly1991 So sorry to hear that x

Eirlys1986 · 09/06/2023 16:07

@Rosie250 fingers crossed for you 🤞, try not to get too bound up in comparing line darkness over time, I did it too much this latest pregnancy and kept getting fainter lines and freaking out and it seems to have turned out fine (scan pending at 8 weeks on Tuesday!). I won’t tell you to wait 48 hours to retest again as I know I had zero self control to do this and was testing 2-3 times daily like a loon

SnookyPook · 09/06/2023 17:45

@CurlyWurly1991 sorry to hear that - hope you're doing ok xx

Angelsrose · 09/06/2023 18:01

Just catching up with the updates and sending everyone lots of baby dust. I've just turned 38, TTC #1 and onto cycle 5, day 4. Hoping for the best this month!

CurlyWurly1991 · 09/06/2023 18:39

Welcome @Angelsrose I hope this is your lucky cycle.

thanks for the good wishes, it is disappointing as I had a couple of days feeling ‘pregnant’ (though awful!) I had started to hope and plan a little. DH is also trying not to show he is sad about it. I feel like maybe I shouldn’t have shared how I was feeling with him, but then there is no one else I had told (except for you lovely lot!) and it’s hard to have to keep it all secret.

RoseH36 · 09/06/2023 18:44

@CurlyWurly1991 I'm so sorry, it was all sounding so positive for you 😪 sending positive vibes that next cycle will be yours.

Angelsrose · 09/06/2023 19:40

Thanks @CurlyWurly1991 I really hope this is your month too!

Rosie250 · 09/06/2023 20:27

I went to a fertility clinic last month, I have endometriosis (which was news to me!) so a HyCoSy and progesterone supplementation was first steps

SnookyPook · 09/06/2023 20:35

@Rosie250 amazing that your body seems to have responded so quickly!

Welcome @Angelsrose x

LeopardLover · 09/06/2023 20:43

@CurlyWurly1991 Oh I'm sorry AF arrived! Join me this cycle 💪🏻 a March baby would be CUTE. I had unusual symptoms too last cycle and my period was late, so I can understand how you're feeling. Onwards! Enjoy that vino 🍷

@Rosie250 More tentatively congrats from me! Hoping you get a darker line tomorrow 🌟 Do you have any typical endo signs?

@Angelsrose 37 and CD4 over here, 😊

VixFromThe6ix · 09/06/2023 21:01

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 yes he will have to return to either shots or something else afterwards if his testosterone doesn't return to normal levels. We scheduled an appointment with a fertility urologist as well for second opinion. Hopefully something with less drastic measure. Can't imagine having to take testosterone shots for the rest of his life. And I know he doesn't want that either, but there may not be a choice as low testosterone can lead to quite a few health issues for a man. So I hope I'm the next few months we can have some luck.
As for your spotting thing... I had that last month and I don't typically have that. It was literally like 2-3 days before my period and was a one time thing and then nothing till my period came. Some ladies here also said maybe implantation bleeding but probably not since test was negative. This cycle I had a full on some kind of clot... (Tmi) white piece of something with blood around it. Legit looked like tissue, so no idea. Also happened couple days before my period spotting started.
I don't know if this is progesterone as I previously had that and it was non stop spotting for a week prior to my period (heavy day), it wasn't a one time event. But honestly, when it comes to hormones anything is possible. It might be worth asking if this happens again. I pla to ask next time, as well.

@TheFanciestPants oh hope you don't have to wait much longer to consult with this male fertility doctor. Waiting for an appointment is terrible. My next one is in August and that's only two cycles away but feels like forever!!! How long is average wait for IVF where you are??

It was after abt 4 hr hold, I had bits of water and 2 ice pops so was prob still a bit diluted but I think I see it, thoughts?

RoseH36 · 09/06/2023 21:07

@DmcinT looks to me like there's a line there. Have you got anything like a first response test you could use? That was what I used and the line has come up quite strong.

VixFromThe6ix · 09/06/2023 21:16

sorry to hear @CurlyWurly1991 ! That's the worst. I always wish that pregnancy and pms symptoms would be different because it's such a mind fuçk when you're trying and hoping every symptom is pregnancy. Fingers crossed your cycle is just around the corner 🤞🏻

@DmcinT there is definitely a faint line!! Keep testing. Tentative congratulations 👏👏👏

OP posts:
DmcinT · 09/06/2023 21:17

@RoseH36 yeah I’ll do a proper clear blue one now with fmu in the morning, although I might be too early still at 10/11 dpo for a sensitivity of 25

Rosie250 · 09/06/2023 21:23

No I was basically asymptomatic. Went to a gynaecologist two months ago and they noticed a cyst on my ovary, then went to a follow up gynaecologist who specialises in ovarian cysts specifically in London and he could tell straight away it was an endometrioma “chocolate cyst”, so then after that I booked in at a fertility clinic to get some help. I think the HyCoSy and progesterone really helped

Eirlys1986 · 10/06/2023 06:27

@DmcinT definitely there! Good luck with the repeat test this morning. Don’t send yourself too potty with the line checking as it may definitely take a good few days to progress significantly as did mine (or it may progress super fast!)
Good luck for your retest this morning also @Rosie250 😊 let us know how you get on x

Rosie250 · 10/06/2023 07:21

Took a clear blue test this morning, still a faint line but I see it :)

RoseH36 · 10/06/2023 07:26

@Rosie250 I must have missed you mentioning getting a line already, definitely one on there. Congratulations 😀

CurlyWurly1991 · 10/06/2023 07:49

@Rosie250 positive! Congratulations , how are you feeling ?

Rosie250 · 10/06/2023 11:44

Thank you! We are super excited as has felt like a long 12 months trying different things each month and also finding out I had stage 4 endo in the mix too was a bit stressful with the ttc. So we are happy and hope all goes well for first scan! Feeling fine tbh! Slightly sore breasts but that’s about it, and a runny stuffy nose which I had with my first pregnancy also straight away.
