@Eirlys1986 Omgosh, noooo! So glad he's feeling a bit better and poor you too! I think HFM is the worst thing my son has had so far 😫 awful.

All good over here, thank you! My toddler had an early night, DH is out so I might have an early night too (I've been binging Selling Sunset 🤣). 7DPO and it's soooo boring. Trying to remind myself implantation normally happens between 8-10 DPO. More waiting to come!

@Bumblebee413 Fingers crossed your timing works out - it sounds perfect!! Awww, your poor toddler (& poor you). That must've been really tough. I hope you all enjoy the next two weeks!

Eirlys1986 · 28/05/2023 22:18

@LeopardLover ahhh love selling sunset! Haven’t started the new series yet. Enjoy. It’s so strange just sitting and thinking about potential implantation dates etc isn’t it? I was definitely doing it last cycle!

AgeGapBbe · 29/05/2023 09:28

Thanks @Bumblebee413 i think at the moment I’m more stressed about DP’s sperm results… which maybe is a good thing? The lady on the phone who booked me in assured me that I should be find to go back to work for the afternoon and evening (I’m due to work the evening too) and my boss has said that if I don’t feel up to it, I don’t need to. But it’s positive that I should be able to. I’m telling myself it’ll be like a long smear test. I came on my period on Saturday so Wednesday really is the perfect day cycle wise to have it. And with the fertility specialist in that day too, despite the short notice it seemed like too good a day to pass up on.

The new season is incredible. So much drama 🤣 yesss, zero cramping so far today sooo 😴

Bumblebee413 · 29/05/2023 11:02

Thank you @LeopardLover ! We’re just driving to the Lakes for a week, so pretty excited about that!

@Eirlys1986 I’m sorry I missed that last night, how is your little one today? And how is your mother doing now? Very glad your wingman is back- so much harder on your own!

@AgeGapBbe that sounds pretty encouraging from a polyp perspective and you’re absolutely right- marrying up appointments is definitely a clever move! X

Eirlys1986 · 29/05/2023 11:28

@LeopardLover may have to check it out later during DS nap or once he’s gone to bed later 😈
@Bumblebee413 he’s so much better thanks, myself and OH have day booked off tomorrow and were due to have a little visit to a local spa and get some packing done for hols next week but then of course have checked nursery policy on hand foot and mouth and all blisters have to be gone before they can go back….not inkeeping with NHS guidance and don’t reckon he will be going this week then 😐.
Thanks for asking about mum too, she’s been home a few weeks now and is driving herself places again and generally getting on with things so I’m relieved on that front.
Hope you enjoy the lakes, I’ve never been but would love to xxx

Pineappleapple · 30/05/2023 08:46

Thanks for the new thread and the tag! Lots to catch up on, still learning all your names
Bumble bee have a lovely trip. Not always being in the same country sounds incredibly challenging with TTC.
We have sperm results back, need to book GP appointment. Easier for OH to go alone but would like to be there to ask questions, will see how we go as toddler would need to come too.

CurlyWurly1991 · 30/05/2023 08:59

Hi Can I join?
I’m 36 nearing 37 (ignore username!!) and have just started TTC #2. Have a 9 year old already so I was much younger first time. I conceived on the second cycle that time, used BBT and observed CM etc which worked well for us.
this time around I am much more conscious of risks due to age - DH also quite a bit older than me.
Have long cycles which have been unpredictable of late.
never seem to get a positive OPK (was same with TTC #1) so am more interested in CM in terms of timing.
on CD 21 now and saw first EWCM of the cycle yesterday - had expected I would ovulate sooner but thanks to the BBT tracking can see no temp shift so we managed to get on that right away!
concerned will miss the next few days’ opportunities as DH is away, fingers crossed we have done enough. I’m also going to chuck out the thermometer for a few days as it affects my sleep - I wake early 6.15ish automatically and taking the temp wakes me just enough that I don’t drop off again. That and night time DTD (once DD asleep) has really impacted my sleep!!

hope everyone is managing to stay sane !! I feel myself slipping into a manic mode and am trying my best to resist!!

vitahelp · 30/05/2023 10:29

Hi ladies, thank you for the new thread. Sorry I've been quiet, I've been trying to take a step back from it recently. I'm currently waiting for an appointment to have a HSG which will be the final stage of my NHS investigations. I'm 2dpo in my current cycle.

Pineappleapple · 30/05/2023 13:05

Welcome curly wurly, it is tiring isn't it, late bedtimes and temp checking and all the rest. Not bothered with temp checks this time round, toddler has me up half the night so no chance!

AgeGapBbe · 31/05/2023 14:56

Thanks for the good wishes… we’re still waiting on DP’s results, I’m quietly shitting myself about it. I had my polyp removed today, it’s fun over here!! 🤦‍♀️ Glad that’s done but I’m not convinced it was doing much- it was so small!

I’ve told him if we can’t have a baby then I’ll need to give up my job, I work as a nanny. The money is great and there are so many perks but I think borrowing someone else’s family as I have done for the past 14 years will be too hard to keep doing if it’s no longer able to ever be my turn. 😥

I don’t know why, but I just don’t see it happening for us, and I’m equally terrified if it does. It’s all horrible feeling and on the top of stomach cramps from having a camera right up my hoohaa, im not having a great time.

AgeGapBbe · 31/05/2023 14:57

Meant to say, I got myself an Apple Watch a few weeks ago, it auto temp checks in the night for basal tracking. Doesn’t give you a temp number, but is able to tell you in relation to your base. Well worth looking into if you’re temp checking and finding it a PITA.

Annapolis35 · 31/05/2023 16:02

Hey ladies, I had briefly joined the last thread but thought I’d join up to this one. I’m out for another cycle as AF sort of started today, got spotting and it’s due tomorrow and it feels on its way. @AgeGapBbe I have an Apple Watch and find it quite reliable, I think it guesses O quite accurately and the temp shows a clear pattern post ovulation.

Eirlys1986 · 31/05/2023 16:37

@AgeGapBbe sorry to hear about the current horrid hoohaa cramps. I think it sounds completely understandable to need to give up your line of work if for some reason you found out things couldn’t work out for you , I think the same about all lines of work with babies/children- nannies, teachers, nursery nurses, midwives. Must be super tough for you all.
when are you expecting to get DP results?

Annapolis35 · 31/05/2023 16:41

Sorry forgot to say it does give a temp number if you scroll down to see all data and click on the day @AgeGapBbe x

AgeGapBbe · 31/05/2023 16:59

@Eirlys1986 they said 10 days from last Thursday, but I’ve got no idea is that’s working days or all days… the internet says 7 days so 🤷‍♀️ I’m getting him to check on his NHS app every day as I’m sure it’ll pop up on there first!

@Annapolis35 my understanding was that it wasn’t able to give an actual number due to the tech that’s in it! Will investigate, thank you

RoseH36 · 31/05/2023 17:02

Wondered why the other thread had gone quiet 😅

Welcome @CurlyWurly1991.

In the TWW, literally noidea when AF is due as not bothering to check. Last month I had cramps as usual but the previous 2 months I didn't get anything at all (assume things hadn't fully setlled after my mmc) so was convinced I was pregnant and wasn't.

Eirlys1986 · 31/05/2023 17:03

@AgeGapBbe good shout to check the app regularly then maybe ring in if nothing on there by day 10. I think the sperm analysis actually comes onto the computer systems
as a letter rather than a “result” as such or at least that’s what it’s like in our area, so I’m not sure if it would appear on app or not tbh. Good luck with the results when you do get them 👍🏻 xxx

AgeGapBbe · 31/05/2023 17:06

Just found it! Thanks @Annapolis35 this watch gets so much data I can’t keep up! 🤯

ChildrenOfTheQuorn · 31/05/2023 20:06

I'll join too! TTC baby #2... this has been the first month of trying. Only just got my period back (breastfeeding) so have had to wait until now.

Bumblebee413 · 31/05/2023 20:15

Really hope those cramps subside soon @AgeGapBbe , well done for getting today done and for getting through it. I think finding a different job if this one becomes too painful is both completely reasonable and a positive, protective step. But fingers crossed that you don’t need to x

Pineappleapple · 31/05/2023 21:38

@AgeGapBbe sounds like a really tough time. Can't imagine today's appointment was much fun. Hope you get DH results soon so you know what's what.
We have had a message for OH to book sy the doctors, think it is standard rather than sending a letter to give info face to face, in case that helps you looking out for a letter. May be different in other areas.

CurlyWurly1991 · 31/05/2023 21:57

Thanks for the welcomes … it’s hard when you can’t talk about TTC with anyone in real life except your partner (and I’m keeping a lot of the details of BBT from him) -

thank you for the recommendations too for the Apple Watch. Good to know, although probs out of my budget, I’m now trying to start saving in case we are lucky enough to conceive and need to make up a mat leave shortfall. If we don’t conceive another we will spend it on something else!

Im either 8 or 2 days dpo, assuming I did ovulate - think probably 2 days ago as CM went egg white then stopped. Had some very faint pink tinged CM this eve which I have only seen before in my first pregnancy… but don’t want to get my hopes up as it’s still very early days.
kind of terrified tbh!! Either way - part of me thinks I’m nuts to plan this now that we have some semblance of norm and calm with a 9yo DC. But it’s something I want very much and so does DH.

Pineappleapple · 01/06/2023 08:15

Just heard that bloods suggest no ovulation again this month. Busy today so no time to feel flat about it but know I will. Does help to be able to write on here as no one to tell really. No one knows we are trying and OH at work, not sure I want to message him at work about it.

AgeGapBbe · 01/06/2023 10:02

I’ve told a few people, had to tell DSiS because of her rather patronising ‘you’d better get on with it!’ comments… I thought telling her would shut her up 🤔

but it’s not the same. I haven’t told her or DM that I’ve had my polyp taken out or they’ll just ask about DP’s sperm analysis and I don’t want them waiting on the results of that and hassling me. They mean well.
