The other one filled in so quickly. I'm happy that many of you are finding this space supportive and helpful.

Hi @Un7breakable i wouldn’t worry just yet, you may be having a slow rise? Lots of signs point to ov between cd 15-17 there. Fingers crossed the temp goes up again tomorrow.

Mrsspoon3 · 04/06/2023 19:15

Ah I was wondering why the other thread had gone quiet and just spotted this one, although I see I was tagged in it - thank you! 😊
Hope everyone is doing ok.
We’re just starting our second cycle trying. I got a flashing smiley today and am due to ovulate any time really this coming week, but my husband went away total until Friday! 🤦🏼‍♀️ We tried today since sperm can live in the body for 5 days (though closer to ovulation is obviously ideal) so if I ovulate before he’s back hopefully we’re still in with the tiniest chance, although I know it’s not very likely!

Mrsspoon3 · 04/06/2023 19:16

Wonder if it’s just a slow rise @Un7breakable? I’ve had these before! I’d wait and see what your temperature is like tomorrow! Fingers crossed it will have gone up

Un7breakable · 04/06/2023 19:30

@Mrsspoon3 @CurlyWurly1991 I hope so. Never had one before.

Ah TTC is maddening!

CurlyWurly1991 · 05/06/2023 07:32

@Un7breakable hows the temp looking today?
3 days of low temps for me so expecting my period to start at any time. Roll on next month!

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 05/06/2023 08:14

@CurlyWurly1991 I'm sorry. You never know, but that's the bit I used to hate about charting, seeing the temperature coming down.

@Un7breakable I'm not a pro, I only charted 2-3 months last time. However I wondered if you'd been ill, or had a few alcoholic drinks etc, as the temps look high for pre-ov and quite erratic. I used to get a dip the day of ov, then a rise, so wondered if you might have ovulated two days after your positive opk?

I'm 8dpo and had a negative test. Feeling a bit down about it, as this was the first time circumstances allowed us to really go for it. Had sex every day for 8 days, and so was hoping it would work! Every other month one of us has been sick, away, staying at a relatives during our renovation etc and so missing most of the fertile window. Sorry moan moan moan! I think I'd unwittingly pinned some hopes to this cycle

CurlyWurly1991 · 05/06/2023 08:37

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 you are still early yet. FWIW I had negative tests 10-17dpo when pregnant with my DD, and only got a faint positive on the 18th day! All was well.

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 05/06/2023 09:19

@CurlyWurly1991 wow 18dpo! That's crazy. Did you ovulate late?

I know, it's just I was testing positive at 8dpo last time. I know it's probably too early, but I also just don't think it is this month 🤷‍♀️

CurlyWurly1991 · 05/06/2023 12:01

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 no I can’t have done as only dtd twice that month… as I get negative readings on LH readings too I think my hormone levels might just be relatively low across the board. there’s a whole spectrum of ‘normal’ I guess!

VixFromThe6ix · 05/06/2023 13:18

Hi ladies!! Hope everyone is well on this Monday.
Reading that some of you are thinking they didn't ovulate even though they got a positive opk now makes me worried. Is there an at-home way to test this???
I'm 8dpo today and I tested and got a stark negative. I'll keep testing of course but this was my positive last time, so in my head if it's negative now it's gonna be a negative lol
I finally have my consultation with the fertility doctor today, so let's see what she says.

Fingers crossed that it goes well today @VixFromThe6ix and that you get some useful information.

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 I know what you mean- the hope creeps in so sneakily! Hopefully AF will stay the heck away. 8 days in a row is crazy impressive! 10/10 for effort!

Un7breakable · 05/06/2023 17:43

@CurlyWurly1991 @A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 Slightly higher but FF refuse to recognise ovulation.

@VixFromThe6ix Not really except a mail order blood progesterone test. Which being the obsessive I am I've ordered one which should be here tomorrow. I've also ordered an ovusense core which is apparently good as I found a 40% discount.

Fingers crossed you get some answers tomorrow.

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 My temps tend to be quite erratic, I'm pretty sure it's hormonal and my hormones are out of whack.

Angelsrose · 05/06/2023 17:44

@VixFromThe6ix I hope your appointment goes well.
I had some bloods today. I feel AF is on the way. This will be my 4th complete cycle of ttc plus one very short cycle when I don't think I ovulated. This whole process is so much more tiring and demanding than I envisaged.

RoseH36 · 05/06/2023 17:51

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 8 days! That's impressive. I thought DTD 2 days in a row on my peak days was an achievement 🤣

Definitely leave it longer though, even if you tested positive early last time doesn't mean it will always be detectable so early. Mine was early first time but last time, which resulted in a mmc, it was later on. This time round I'm not testing until at least Thursday. AF is anytime from tomorrow - Friday so leaving it as long as I can.

CurlyWurly1991 · 05/06/2023 18:02

Agree with leaving testing for pregnancy as late as possible.
feeling good today, despite likely being out for the month. On a herbal mix from a medical herbalist and it’s sorting my cycles out but also makes it harder to know where I’m at.
very slight spotting and not the cramping I would expect if AF was going to arrive ‘on time’ tomorrow (as far as possible with irregular cycles).
expect i actually haven’t ovulated yet…

CurlyWurly1991 · 05/06/2023 18:15

@Un7breakable interested in finding out about the Ovusense core! Sounds amazing. Anything that can provide clues about what the heck is going on with our bodies can only be a good thing.
im trying to just dtd every 2-3 days regardless as Im finding it so hard to time things.

Un7breakable · 05/06/2023 19:54

@CurlyWurly1991 I'll let you know how i get on. It's internal but that's meant to make it more stable. The code is ONETIME40.

TheFanciestPants · 05/06/2023 20:04

@Un7breakable I have an Ovusense and it is great. My temps are always clear from it and it confirms ovulation for you. I don't think I'd have any chance with normal temping and it is great to see the clear lines.
@VixFromThe6ix hope the gynae went well today? My husband is off to see the male fertility specialist next week so hopefully they will have some suggestions and help us make a plan. We have got him on a range of supplements including ashwaganda so fingers crossed it helps.
I hear you on wanting to understand the root cause so hopefully the specialist will be able to help.
To be honest since I found out he doesn't have a lot of sperm and our chances are low, it's a lot less stressful in a way as I fully expect we will need IVF.I think my period will arrive tomorrow so won't bother testing but will keep my fingers crossed for you.🤞🤞🤞

Un7breakable · 05/06/2023 20:58

@TheFanciestPants Glad to hear you like it. I'm hoping it will do the same for me.

Glad to hear things are progressing.

VixFromThe6ix · 05/06/2023 21:05

@Bumblebee413 @Angelsrose @Un7breakable @TheFanciestPants thank you ladies!! It went well. My ovaries still make pretty good amount of eggs, yay!!! And no thyroid issues that I initially feared. The concern is now my husband and his testosterone shots. She said to get off asap as it can act as a sterilizer and could have irreversible effects. So she will sending requisitions for him for sperm analysis and hormone analysis blood test to see what we are working with.
So, "good" that I'm doing ok but "not so good" that my husband's doctor saw no issues with putting him on testosterone shots when he knew we are going to start trying 🙄. And now I'm going to be anticipating the results.
I'm trying not to think of these 5 cycles as being wasted.

@TheFanciestPants knowing definitely helps.... And answers some of the questions. There wasn't any mention of IVF from my doctor, she thinks we can keep trying (given his results come back good). Are you on the list?? I tested at 7dpo and 8dpo and negative. I don't know how you girls wait till your period comes lol that's some strong will that I'm clearly lacking 😜

RoseH36 · 06/06/2023 07:27

@VixFromThe6ix that's great news on your part but bad for your husband putting him on those if there's no need for him to have them. Hope you get some answers soon.

@TheFanciestPants This is the first month of trying to have some willpower. I've just been so disappointed the last 2 cycles in being convinced I was pregnant, testing and then AF arriving later the same day. Today is the first day AF could arrive, so far still no signs but not getting my hopes up.

bunnynbear · 06/06/2023 07:47

Hi All, can I join? I'm 36, going through the second TWW after having a miscarriage (first pregnancy). Currently on 8DPO, no symptoms and I've hold off testing. Started to get a little antsy if I'm being honest.

Un7breakable · 06/06/2023 10:54

@bunnynbear Welcome. Sorry to hear about the MC hopefully you'll get your BFP again soon.

CurlyWurly1991 · 06/06/2023 10:56

@VixFromThe6ix good news on your results, less so about the ill-advised testosterone shots, hope your partner’s tests come back clear.
welcome @bunnynbear that dreaded tww! Distraction is the only way!!
feeling fatigued and crampy today, expecting AF. FF doesn’t think I ovulated this month and predicts period to start tomorrow, I’ve had some unusually light spotting so far but nothing else to make me hopeful. Any thoughts on my chart? Thinking the cd 14-17 bleeding was heavy spotting rather than a proper bleed.

RoseH36 · 06/06/2023 13:03

@bunnynbear welcome and so sorry to hear about your mc. I'm on my 3rd try since mine in January, currently 11dpo and still resisting testing.

Make sure you're being kind to yourself and not putting yourself under any pressure.
