@Kellyaust You've given it such a lot of effort 👏 you should definitely be covered 💖

@Eirlys1986 Loved your post about trusting the timing 😊

Hope everyone is hanging in there and you'll all have lovely weekends! There's a break in the rain here... For now 😅

Kellyaust · 15/07/2023 09:33

@LeopardLover we really have all we can do now is hope... And same here with the weather the sun is out for now 🎉

Stephy1024 · 15/07/2023 09:49

Congratulations @FiddleLeaf I hope you have a smooth pregnancy.

So this month I started using ovulation tests. I was surprised that I actually got my peak 2 days after I was predicted to ovulate on the app. We dtd so fingers crossed.

Eirlys1986 · 15/07/2023 11:19

How you feeling @LeopardLover ? Hope early preggo is treating you well! AF has arrived for me so I’m now excited to be able to try again 😊

Eirlys1986 · 15/07/2023 11:19

@Stephy1024 good luck 👍🏻xx

RoseH36 · 15/07/2023 12:30

@Stephy1024 fingers crossed! We've been using Clearblue but got some Easy@Home to try alongside them this next cycle as Clearblue are costing too much.

In other news, AF has turned up so that answers that. Cycle starts again.

Stephy1024 · 15/07/2023 13:31

@RoseH36 exactly, we can only hope. Oh you'll have to let us know if they both give you the same readings. It does all add up over time doesn't it.

It's disheartening but we keep trying 🍀

RoseH36 · 15/07/2023 19:16

@Stephy1024 I'm hoping they do, will let you know 🙂

SnookyPook · 15/07/2023 20:50

@Eirlys1986 great news that AF has arrived and you now know where you stand!

@RoseH36 not sure you'll be iqite as pleased to see AF but at least you're now out of limbo and on to the next cycle. Sending hugs.

AF is just finishing up for me so soon be onto horizontal tango time, hoping the unicorn will bless me with tears for my super fertile home (??! Think I've forgotten some of the teeminology... haha) and then into the valley of torment once again.... Onwards!

SnookyPook · 15/07/2023 20:51

@Stephy1024 that's interesting that you are a couple of days after your app thought. Hopefully means the opks will help you time things better and this could be the cycle 🤞🏻

Eirlys1986 · 15/07/2023 22:06

😂 @SnookyPook I believe I said “superb life window”…. Well my phone said it

H0pefull · 16/07/2023 16:16

Congratulations @FiddleLeaf what a journey you’ve had! Wishing you a healthy pregnancy ☺️
sorry to hear that AF arrived @RoseH36 😒 being out of limbo is the only positive thing. Hopefully this cycle will be the one for us both 🤞🏻xxx

FiddleLeaf · 16/07/2023 17:48

Thank you all! I’m feeling a bit nervous to retest in case lines haven’t developed. I wish I could just enjoy it but doubt I will until the second trimester, maybe even third!

Just in case anyone would like my v.early symptoms… I have heartburn 4 days post transfer (equivalent to 9DPO) and I’ve been out of breath going up the stairs for the last few days. I’m also very tired from 4pm & have sore boobs but that might be related to my progesterone medication.

Good luck everyone! x

Eirlys1986 · 16/07/2023 19:27

@FiddleLeaf I get the line nervousness. I did far too much testing in my last pregnancy and drove myself a bit scatty with it all. I guess I’d reflect that even though that pregnancy sadly ended the lines eventually did become very strong so I’m not sure it really aided me at all retesting loads other than to haemorrhage money and get more anxious but I totally understand the need to retest and monitor things for reassurance but it certainly isn’t reliable as so much stuff can change the line strength day to day x

Eirlys1986 · 16/07/2023 19:28

Ps @FiddleLeaf i would hope being ivf pregnancy you will get lots of additional scans for reassurance too x

FiddleLeaf · 16/07/2023 19:29

Thanks @Eirlys1986. I’ve been silly and took a test this afternoon (& I’m very hydrated 😬). It’s a good line but I guess I’m expecting it to be super strong. I will do my best to stop testing apart from our official testing day (dictated by our clinic) on Tues.

Eirlys1986 · 16/07/2023 20:26

@FiddleLeaf even with my first successful pregnancy who is now my fantastic bouncy 21 month old it took me well over a week to get positives on the less sensitive pregnancy tests rather than Frer and it took a while for the line strength to improve. It’s so hard to have the self control not to do it! (Mostly because let’s face it, it’s bloody brilliant peeing on a stick and finally seeing 2 lines appear 😂) xxx

FiddleLeaf · 16/07/2023 21:46

So true @Eirlys1986! I’ve been willing two lines for 18 months and boom! There they are.

I’ve gone back and looked at today’s test and I’m being a lunatic. It’s so much darker than 2 days ago. I’m stopping now. I’ve chucked the unused tests on top of the fridge and I can’t reach them 🤣

I love your attitude towards TTC!

Eirlys1986 · 16/07/2023 22:19

😂 @FiddleLeaf love the fact you’ve chucked them on top of the fridge! I assure you my attitude to TTC is proper fruit loops, the amount of pregnancy tests I have in the bathroom cupboards is cast iron evidence of this, as is my testing at 4 dpo despite holding a medical degree which apparently did include some lessons on reproductive biology 😂….
Ive agreed to only do tests with OH from now on, he is honestly the most none extra man I’ve ever met so he will definitely rein me in 😂

VixFromThe6ix · 18/07/2023 01:30

Woohoo!! @FiddleLeaf !! Congratulations that's such amazing news!!! IVF journey is an emotional one but I'm so so glad it worked for you. Hope everything goes smoothly from here on out 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻 hope you update us on your experience

I am finally finishing this period, ladies. And I am ready to start testing for ovulation 😂 the one cycle we took off honestly felt the longest ever. And then theis period was weird starting super light well into it but then it hit me with the heaviest day and migraine. I keep reminding my husband to make an appointment to test his sperm but he keeps forgetting. We got an appointment with fertility clinic coming up in early august and they clearly said if they don't have all the results they will reschedule the appointment. I'm gonna drag him by his ear I swear lol sometimes I feel like I already have two kids 😂😂😂😂😩

@Eirlys1986 testing at 4dpo?? You sound like my kinda people!!! 😂😂😂😂

OP posts:
RoseH36 · 18/07/2023 07:40

@H0pefull yes let's hope this cycle is the one for us 🤞

@VixFromThe6ix not too long to wait for your appointment, hope you can get him to test soon!

I'll be testing from Friday for ovulation so time to see if the cheaper tests are as good. Got a telephone appointment early August with the recurrent mc clinic so will see what they have to say.

FiddleLeaf · 18/07/2023 18:12

@Eirlys1986 🤣 It worked! I still can’t reach them so my OH will have to get them down. It’s my clinic’s official testing day and my test line is nearly as strong as the control 🎉 First scan all booked in first week of August. Will try and enjoy this time now and stress a little less about lines!

Thank you so much @VixFromThe6ix! It’s been a total whirlwind. I can’t believe I’m pregnant!

Eirlys1986 · 18/07/2023 18:33

Amazing news @FiddleLeaf 🎉, so glad you have the nice strong line. Really enjoy this time you’ve waited so long for xxx

Angelsrose · 18/07/2023 23:09

Congratulations @FiddleLeaf I'm so pleased for you.
