@H0pefull a night of eating chocolate sounds amazing! I’ve got some Tony’s chocolony in the fridge so may join you in that and a cup of tea ☕️ 😊.

H0pefull · 12/07/2023 22:40

Sounds like a great idea @Eirlys1986 🥰

RoseH36 · 14/07/2023 08:04

@H0pefull hope you ate LOADS of chocolate, definitely the AF laws!

Well I'm still in a state of limbo! I'm now cd30 so had expected AF Wednesday at the latest. A cheap test was still negative yesterday, although not as sensitive as frer. I had a tiny bit of old blood Wednesday evening I think it was then the lightest of pinks the following morning and nothing since (never had implantation bleeding so no idea if it was that) Cramps have still been on and off but quite dull so not what I'd normally get.

So I'm either pregnant and it's taking a lot longer than usual to show, every other time its come up before AF has been due.

Or it could be that even though it was very early days with the chemical it's actually taking my body a lot longer to recover than I thought it would.

Or AF is really taking the pea and taking its time showing up.

RoseH36 · 14/07/2023 10:04

Scrap all that, think it's just a longer cycle. Bit more old blood and a bit of mucus (sorry if tmi) not long ago so think it's just taking its time to arrive. This better not become a normal cycle length, can't cope with the extra days of confusion 🤣

Eirlys1986 · 14/07/2023 10:09

@RoseH36 arrghh the cycle confusion is so annoying and frustrating! It could still be some implantation stuff going on but it’s probably best to assume AF to avoid the unnecessary additional disappointment I suppose. I’m sat here with a very whingy toddler, raining outside, just posting snacks into him and watching in the night garden. Have just started getting some cramps so I’m really excited that AF may actually be about to arrive on what I’m calling CD 29 (who knows what cycle day it is post MMC!). I hope you get some clarity either way soon xxxx

RoseH36 · 14/07/2023 11:37

@Eirlys1986 isn't it just! I've never felt so confused 😅
The weather is just awful today. Been to our Friday music class so that's passed a bit of time. He's now watching Peppa Pig while I try and get some work done.

Eirlys1986 · 14/07/2023 13:08

Just saw this and thought of all of us x 😊

SnookyPook · 14/07/2023 13:10

@Eirlys1986 LOVE this! 🥰

Not quite sure how I'm feeling today. AF drawing to a close in next couple of days and back on the merry-go-round...

Eirlys1986 · 14/07/2023 13:44

It is definitely a tough old cycle to keep going round and round @SnookyPook , I know we can all do it though 💪. Some days we might not feel like we can…but tomorrow we may feel differently. Just keep going 👍🏻 x

RoseH36 · 14/07/2023 17:44

@Eirlys1986 definitely needs to be a group motto!

@SnookyPook I found my feelings were all over the place after the chemical, I wanted to get trying again but nervous at the same time of putting myself in that position where it could happen again.

Got much stronger cramping this afternoon on and off but still no sign of anything happening. Hoping I'll get my answer one way or the other over the weekend. Refuse to test before Monday as still not convinced it'll be positive so I'll be annoyed at wasting a test 🤣

All healthy eating is out the window this evening though as been and bought a cream cake and sharing bag of crisps, I need carbs 😆

FiddleLeaf · 14/07/2023 18:05

Evening all, I’m back to report from IVF (although jabs are still ongoing!). I’m cautiously posting this because I have tested a few days early. The clinic wanted us to wait 13 days from embryo transfer and my will power is not that strong…

Quick summary for those who don’t me as I’ve been over on the infertility board for a while, I’m 38 (39 next month) & TTC our first for 18 months. All the tests under the sun came back normal so unexplained infertility was our cruel diagnosis.

For anyone considering IVF, I was terrified to start but it was fine. Expensive but fine. The waiting between each bit (egg collection, transfer, 2WW) has been the worst part for me.

(cheapie test shows one from this morning & the other taken an hour ago)

Eirlys1986 · 14/07/2023 18:34

Congratulations @FiddleLeaf , I am so happy for you after what must feel like the longest 18 months of your life! Then all the various stages included in IVF. I’m sure it will turn out to be the best money you’ve ever spent in your life! 😊 xxx

TT82 · 14/07/2023 18:35

@FiddleLeaf lots of support during this difficult waiting period 🤗❤️

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 14/07/2023 18:37

Omg @FiddleLeaf I just checked back in and congratulations what lovely news!!

FiddleLeaf · 14/07/2023 18:37

Thank you! The fees are mental but all worth it and then some if we can finally bring a baby home 😌. If anyone reading is considering it but finances are an issue, we went through Access Fertility. Super fast & helpful company that have all kinds of finance options.

TTC is the toughest thing I’ve gone through. It’s maddening. Baby dust to you all! 💐

TT82 · 14/07/2023 18:38

@FiddleLeaf I will be starting pre-ivf pills next week (first time 😬) as after last cycle cp my body said no and today 11dpo and BFN, also PMS syndrome and like feel that AF next week coming

I will be doing with genetic testing, which will take time, also might be more egg cycles just to have something to test.. I am 41 and ttc number 3... so not so much time left 🥺 and lasr year 4 cp only

Ah good luck with it! Take plenty of time out for yourself to go on little walks, time of work and I kept a diary. The hormones really didn’t affect me as much as I feared! It just felt a bit like I was on day 1 of my period for a month.

TT82 · 14/07/2023 19:27

@FiddleLeaf 🙏 for the support!!
Oh day 1 of my period for a month sounds horrible 😱 but wierd enough I am looking forward to start!

SnookyPook · 14/07/2023 19:52

@FiddleLeaf ooh congratulations! 🥰 Fingers crossed for a wonderful pregnancy ❤️

RoseH36 · 14/07/2023 21:36

@FiddleLeaf that's amazing news! Fingers crossed for a smooth pregnancy for you 😀

Kellyaust · 14/07/2023 22:04

Eirlys1986 · 14/07/2023 22:22

@Kellyaust when we did smep we did do it the day after presumed ovulation but a lot of articles etc say that post ovulation there’s no point in dtd as sperm won’t have time to get to the egg within 24 hours anyway. I would say looking at what you’ve done there’s a high likelihood sperm and eggy should be meeting each other so good luck! X 👍🏻

Kellyaust · 14/07/2023 22:39

@Eirlys1986 thanks for replying, I bloody hope so 🤞🌈

Angelsrose · 15/07/2023 07:46

Many congratulations @FiddleLeaf brilliant news.

LeopardLover · 15/07/2023 09:30
