@CurlyWurly1991 me and my DH are the exact same ages! I'm also feeling very down today as pretty sure that AF is on her way. Had a real real mood dip. Gorgeous sunny day here and I was just walking our dog round the park in tears 🤦🏼‍♀️ and then got in a viscous cycle as obviously this seems like pms. I've had a weird tww with some possible signs but they could all equally be pms and my gut is telling me it's a no this time. Not due to test for another few days though. This bit drags so much. Sending solidarity and hope for your new cycle ❤️

Eirlys1986 · 07/07/2023 11:48

@SnookyPook sorry today has been a difficult one so far by the sounds of things. It’s horrible sometimes when you’re out in the world with everything going on around you as normal (especially in the sunshine!) when you are hurting. Sun and dog walking/fresh air will still have been a good thing to do for your body xxx
@CurlyWurly1991 sorry to hear about AF and all the crashing of hope/emotions around that. Take care of yourself over next few days. It’s a brutal cycle (literally!) to have to keep going through xxx
@MOGMOGMOG85 hello 👋, so sorry to hear about your tough journey so far. I sadly had a MMC around 3 weeks ago now and I cannot imagine how it would feel having to wait a long time to conceive your first afterwards. Think I would lose the plot tbh! I thankfully have a 20 month old already so that had helped somewhat.
@Freya8 good that you’re having the day 21 progesterone. It will purely be for GP to see whether they can prove ovulation has occurred, so they don’t use it so much to inform decisions about luteal phase or whether progesterone meds would be helpful for someone. Have you got a short luteal phase? X

H0pefull · 07/07/2023 11:52

Morning ladies,

Hope everyone’s doing ok. Does anybody know if the Easy @ Home pregnancy strip tests are known for indent lines? I took one when i first got up this morning, forgot about it and then just went back to it now and saw a very faint line.
AF is due on Tuesday and I will obviously wait and re test tomorrow, but I just wondered if anyone would trust that test as it had been left for a few hours? Xx

Eirlys1986 · 07/07/2023 12:23

@H0pefull Any test left for a few hours could have an evap line instead of a true positive. However, having said that, with my last pregnancy I came on here with photos of my clear blue test that I had been throwing into the general rubbish from the bathroom bin and noticed it had a positive result having looked negative a few hours prior 😂…that actually proved to be an actual positive the next day so you never know. You can wait and retest tomorrow or later on a more concentrated urine depending on your patience levels! X

Eirlys1986 · 07/07/2023 12:24

@H0pefull strangely, my positives have always tended to be more positive in the early evening when I’ve held wee for a few hours and not drunk much (in comparison to the “classic” of checking a morning sample)

H0pefull · 07/07/2023 12:32

@Eirlys1986 thanks for replying lovely. I’ve been using these tests for pretty much a year and never seen this before so it’s thrown me a bit!
I don’t usually early test (AF not due until Tuesday) but I’ve just been absolutely starving this week and so emotional, not normal PMS signs for me so couldn’t resist not taking a test. All mind games isn’t it😂 will try and test again tonight x

Eirlys1986 · 07/07/2023 12:45

@H0pefull fingers crossed then with how you are feeling and that you’ve never had a whiff of a positive on them before! Keep us updated and good luck for tonight xx 👍🏻

CurlyWurly1991 · 07/07/2023 13:18

@H0pefull I’ve not used those strips but with my first child I only got a bfn on a frer at 18dpo , it was still streaking at 8 mins. 8 hours later it had a faint pink line.
Fingers crossed and that your unusual symptoms this month are a sign too!

CurlyWurly1991 · 07/07/2023 13:19

@Eirlys1986 thank you, yes it’s the relentless hope, crash, despair cycle that really messes with your head sometimes!
Im fairly new to this as it’s only been a couple of months, but as time goes on the more I want it to happen and feeling pressure in terms of age/time just makes it more stressful.

Eirlys1986 · 07/07/2023 13:31

@CurlyWurly1991 yes I think the age factor does add stress to things. We were very lucky to conceive 2nd cycle of trying this time but obviously that did not end well, I’m just really hoping I don’t have to wait long this time around to try again. I feel like AF cannot return soon enough. What will be will be though! X

xxcxdonxx · 07/07/2023 13:48

Hi everyone 👋🏻
Thought I would join this board as it looks like a place of good company on this TTC journey.
I’m 37, 38 next month and TTC #3. Like so many of you here, I’ve had a couple of early losses. I had a chemical at the end of last year and then a mmc in March.
Currently in my 4th cycle after my mc but yet to get my LH peak, hoping I haven’t missed it.

With all my pregnancies I have fallen pregnant really quickly so it knocked me a bit that I didn’t have the same good luck after my mmc. The only thing that has changed is really my age so I do have those concerns but trying to remind myself I have lots of positives going for me too.
Congrats to all those who have had their bfps, i genuinely love seeing your good news and good luck to those in your Tww 💜

Freya8 · 07/07/2023 13:57

@Eirlys1986 i hav a leutal phase of 13 days. Af always rears her head 13dpo. Weirdly i am always textbook 28days peak cd14. I dont even know if thats a good thing or not lol 😂 bit pissed aff with her at present xx

Eirlys1986 · 07/07/2023 14:10

@Freya8 a luteal phase of 13 days sounds perfect. Anything less than 10 is considered “short” I believe so 13 is great 😊. I am usually pissed off with AF but obviously can’t wait to see her this month as then we can start trying again after the MMC 👍🏻
@xxcxdonxx hello 👋, I’ve been very fortunate to have not had to wait long to fall pregnant both times (1 st is now my 20 months old and 2nd was MMC last month). I am a bit frightened about my assumption that I will just get pregnant again quickly and partner does keep telling me to check that expectation to curb my disappointment if things don’t happen that way. Good luck for your 4th cycle! X

SnookyPook · 07/07/2023 14:55

@Eirlys1986 thank you ❤️

@H0pefull ooh everything crossed for you! Appetite increase was one of my pre-bfp symptoms 🤞🏻

@xxcxdonxx welcome and so sorry for your losses. I'll be 38 at the end of this year and like you, my previous pregnancies were fairly quick. First took 4 cycles (DS) and second was 3 cycles (MMC in April) so I also have it in my head that hopefully it will be quite quick again and know it's going to be really tough if that's not the case. Just nearing the end of cycle 3 now... Here's to our rainbow babies 💕

H0pefull · 07/07/2023 14:59

Thank you @SnookyPook & @Eirlys1986 ❤️ will let you know when I have an update! Lots of luck & love to you both x

xxcxdonxx · 07/07/2023 15:08

Thanks @Eirlys1986 and sorry for your recent loss. Hoping you can start TTC again soon.
Thanks @SnookyPook I actually had a smear test recently and hounded the poor nurse with lots of Qs. She was saying it can take your hormones a while to settle after a mc so just to give it time. I’m not sure I’m convinced of it as I am ovulating as expected but just now getting pregnant. It’s early days so hopefully the next few weeks are good to us!
Nice to see some familiar names from other threads on here too ☺️

RoseH36 · 07/07/2023 16:09

@CurlyWurly1991 @SnookyPook same ages as me and DH too, how spooky! (Well not quite 37 yet but I am next month). Didn't take long at all to conceive 1st child but then with Covid and having a difficult pregnancy I wasn't sure when I wanted to start trying for a 2nd. Do now regret not starting earlier.

@xxcxdonxx welcome 👋

CurlyWurly1991 · 07/07/2023 17:07

@RoseH36 my first is 9 and a half… lots of reasons stopped us having a second sooner. I don’t regret anything as I had good reasons but part of me is sad that it didn’t happen sooner for her. She desperately wants a similar age sibling but never talked about it until recently.

RoseH36 · 07/07/2023 17:20

@CurlyWurly1991 it is sad, its what saddens me for my son too, he's coming up 3 and a half soon and absolutely loves babies and younger children, I know he'd adore having a sibling.

H0pefull · 08/07/2023 10:44

Happy Saturday lovely people 🤍
again, think I may see a very faint line on a clear blue this morning but still not sure. I have tried to take a pic but not even sure if it’s picked it up on camera. This is the first and last month i early test I can’t cope with the stress 😂xx

@H0pefull I see something, fingers crossed!
@Eirlys1986 so glad your miscarriage appointment went well, good luck with your next cycle. The unicorns are with you x
@LeopardLover bit behind with the thread but did I see you got your BFP Glastonbaby?! Amazing news, congratulations and I hope you have some amazing maternity leopard print outfits to dust off.
@VixFromThe6ix how are you getting on lovely?

Eirlys1986 · 08/07/2023 11:14

@H0pefull There is definitely a line there 😊, it looks very much as mine did around 10-11 dpo for last pregnancy. Tentative hoorays and congratulations to you, hopefully the line strengthens up over next few days xxx

VixFromThe6ix · 08/07/2023 13:06

@TheFanciestPants I'm alright, thank you for asking. My period is about to start so I will be tracking this cycle. Not optimistic for the results when we try since hubby's test was just last month and doubt that things take this short of time to get back to normal, but I guess it doesn't hurt to try. It's just the mental and emotional investment and trying to not get discouraged. My big 4-0 is next month and I kind of been in my feels about it. Never thought I'd be TTC in my 40s, but it is what it is isn't it lol hope you're doing great 💕

RoseH36 · 08/07/2023 13:23

@H0pefull I can see a faint one on the first image but nothing on the second. Definitely try again in a day or 2. It's so hard to resist testing early.

@VixFromThe6ix it is hard but try not to let your age bother you, plenty of women still have babies well into their 40s. Life isn't something you can ever plan out. I do recall when I was 20 wanting to be married with kids by the time I was 25, then when that didn't happen by 30. I was in my 30s before either happened 🤣

VixFromThe6ix · 08/07/2023 13:42

@RoseH36 haha yeah no I hear that. I didn't meet my hubby till I was 35. So it's definitely not something I could have planned. Things happen when they are meant to. I just hope we are still able to hav another one. My 1.5yr old is so eager to play with other kids it makes me sad and I wanna give him a sibling. Play or fight at least they will have each other 😁
