@LeopardLover thanks for checking in! Hospital has given me some codeine so hopefully that can hold things, they’ve said to go in if that doesn’t hold the pain. I am cautiously confident of managing things though. I’ve got a tens machine at home too and I went round sainsburys this afternoon after hospital buying ice lollies, snackies and sanitary pads like a mad woman 😂. I shall keep you updated x

RoseH36 · 15/06/2023 22:08

@LeopardLover thank you, it certainly feels like I've been on a roller coaster. At the moment it feels like period pains so hoping it won't get any worse than that. In that sense it could be a blessing it's happened so early as I suspect there may not be much to come away. I hope I do get to find out what's going on so all rests on that test on Monday now x

Angelsrose · 15/06/2023 22:50

@Eirlys1986 I am sending you lots of love and support.
@RoseH36 I'm really hoping and praying for a good outcome for you.

Eirlys1986 · 15/06/2023 22:57

Thank you so much @Angelsrose . I’ve said it once (or twice! 😂) and I’ll say it again, the ladies on here are amazing x

TheFanciestPants · 16/06/2023 06:17

@Un7breakable massive congratulations! That is an excellent line indeed 🥳
@Eirlys1986 good luck today. It's 100% (see you can tell I am a statistician, right?!) normal to be scared, but you have got this 💪

Eirlys1986 · 16/06/2023 06:54

😂 thanks @TheFanciestPants , I am loving the statistics x

Elen123 · 16/06/2023 07:21

Just popped on to see how things were going for you @Eirlys1986 i hope today is kind on you, will be thinking of you. We'll done for sharing with a couple of people too. Xx

@RoseH36 I'm so sorry to hear you're having a tough time with things too. Hope things improve for you. Xx

Eirlys1986 · 16/06/2023 07:24

Thanks @Elen123 it felt very vulnerable to share but other half did it for me and I’ve found being able to text family is supportive and now I don’t have the additional stress of trying to hide the situation from people close to us

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 16/06/2023 07:28

@Eirlys1986 hope today goes okay. I'm so glad you reached out and told your friends and some family etc. It will be good to have the support.

@RoseH36 I'm so so sorry. It's going to be such a long wait until Monday.

An update from me, I started feeling unwell and just tested positive for coronavirus. Worst timing as my mum has just had an operation and I've been around her a lot. And also I'm wondering if this will cause me to have another miscarriage.

Eirlys1986 · 16/06/2023 07:52

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 Oh man that sucks bigtime! I hope it doesn’t make you feel too poorly and fingers crossed your mum doesn’t get it too 🤞. I don’t think there is any evidence of covid causing any issues in early pregnancy, just keep a close monitor on any fever you may have and keep that controlled with regular paracetamol and trying to keep cool as possible xxx

RoseH36 · 16/06/2023 08:07

@Angelsrose @Elen123 @A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 thank you. Managed a decent night's sleep but pains are back this morning.

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 hope you're ok and don't become too ill. Try to say positive, although I know it's easier said than done, I can't even follow that advice myself lol.

@Eirlys1986 sending hugs your way, we've got this together x

DmcinT · 16/06/2023 08:24

@Eirlys1986 @RoseH36 ❤️ Sending love x

Eirlys1986 · 16/06/2023 08:27

@DmcinT thank you so much. Currently stuck on my bed for 45 minutes post meds as meant to lie flat for a bit. Hopefully in laws coming to whisk away toddler shortly

Mrsspoon3 · 16/06/2023 08:28

Just catching up on everything! Been a bit of a crazy time as my 15 month old had a procedure on hospital yesterday which was super traumatic, and he has surgery on Tuesday, plus our dog burned his paws jumping up on the hob so has a cone thing on and is back and forth to vets!

@Un7breakable Congratulations!! How exciting and what a great line!

Hope you’re ok @A1b2c3d4e5f6g7! Hope you don’t feel too unwell. In my mums group a couple of people had covid when pregnant and were fine, so hopefully you and baby will be ok too! Take it easy and hope you’re all better soon. Hope your mum is ok too!

So glad you have been so well looked after @Eirlys1986 and also that you’ve had so much support from the lovely ladies on here. Hope today goes ok and it’s too hard on you. Will be thinking of you x

Hope you’re ok @RoseH36. I know it must be such a stressful time for you. Hope everything goes well next week and puts your mind at rest a bit!

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 16/06/2023 08:33

@Eirlys1986 I'm so sorry. Be very kind to yourself today and give yourself permission to be very lazy and just do nothing that isn't essential. Hopefully some good films or box sets, books, yummy treats etc. Sending you love.

And thanks so much, I'm just praying my mum doesn't get it either. I also went onto a ward of vulnerable post op people, so hopefully I won't have been contagious before feeling unwell, but I k ow that's unlikely.

@Mrsspoon3 oh no what an awful week, your poor toddler and poor dog. Hoping they both make a good recovery very soon and the surgery goes well. You've really had a rough time of it. Sending love also.

Thanks very much all

I’m feeling a bit worried as I didn’t ovulate this month. I got my static smiley around normal time for me but as you can see from my bbt chart I clearly didn’t ovulate. I haven’t had a confirmed ovulation (I wasn’t tracking until recently) since I had my son, so I’m worried my body isn’t working properly anymore.

I have been doing cheap OPKs (which I’ve not used before) for last 4 days and they’re definitely negative but the line is fairly darkish (have attached a photo) and has been for 4 days! For those who know more about these OPKs, could this be my body gearing up to ovulate again do you think, or could this just be normal for my body and can it be this dark at any point in your cycle?

@Mrsspoon3 what are your post ov temps normally? I'd be inclined to say you've had a stressful time of it recently, and it's pushed off your ovulation a bit. From your chart I'd say it is still coming.

However @Un7breakable thought she hadn't ovulated and her chart didn't confirm it at the time she had ewcm etc, and yet she's now pregnant. So I think sometimes the charts have their limitations. I'd keep going with the trying however, if you guys feel up to it with everything else going on

Eirlys1986 · 16/06/2023 08:37

@Mrsspoon3 so sorry to hear about your toddler and doggy, sounds like a nightmare week! Thanks for your kind thoughts x

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 16/06/2023 08:38

@Mrsspoon3 also I had totally blank cheap opks when I was nowhere near ovulating. When I was approaching ovulation, it started darkening like yours.

Mrsspoon3 · 16/06/2023 08:55

Thanks @A1b2c3d4e5f6g7! 😊 Ah yes I guess maybe it’s just as things have been a bit stressful this month, and hopefully I’ll go back to ovulating normally. Hopefully I’ll still ovulate this month too, although not sure if we’ll manage to try again with everything going on, but fingers crossed! That’s really interesting about @Un7breakable though! It’s hard to say with my post ov temps as my pre ovulation temps seem to be loads higher than last time I was trying! Before I had my little boy my pre ov temps were around 36.1-36.2 and post ov were about 36.7-36.8, but now my pre ov ones often get to 36.5, which is weird.

Thanks @Eirlys1986!

RoseH36 · 16/06/2023 09:06

@Mrsspoon3 what a week you've had! Hope everything goes well on Tuesday and hopefully next week is better for you, you sound like you need a break.

Thank you, with this being like a heavy period though I don't see how there can be any hope left. I'm just thankful in a way its happened so early on as it will hopefully make it easier to come to terms with than last time.

Un7breakable · 16/06/2023 09:15

@Mrsspoon3 I didn't think I'd ovulated and my app spent ages saying no before deciding I'd ovulated on CD19 then changing its mind again to CD14 which I still don't think is right. My charts below. So I wouldn't worry too much, I think BBT can be affected by loads of things and not everyone gets a perfect chart. I got a progesterone test and did it 7 days before my period was due which confirmed ovulation but not much. Depending when you're due you might want to try that.

@Eirlys1986 Hope today goes as well as can be expected. Glad you've got some support around you.

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 sorry to hear you've got COVID. 🤞It will be mild.

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 16/06/2023 09:28

@Un7breakable oh wait, it's just flipped you back to 17dpo now! That is bizarre but does correlate much better with the rest of your charting - cervical mucus etc and testing positive

RoseH36 · 16/06/2023 19:59

Update from me: my bleeding has slowed right down and is quite light so looks like it's ending. Didn't expect it to be over quite so soon to be honest but guess there maybe wasn't much to lose at this stage.

I will try again, decided I owe to myself and don't want to live with the regret when I've never wanted my son to be an only child. If this continues happening though I know at some point I'll have to stop as I also don't want to keep putting myself through it.

Hopefully those if us going/ have been through this will get our rainbow babies soon 🌈

Eirlys1986 · 16/06/2023 20:08

@RoseH36 I am glad things settled quickly for you at least. Your rainbow will come 🌈 xx
