@Eirlys1986 hope it all goes okay at EPU today

@RoseH36 I don't want to give false hope, but do you have cramping also? Could it be a haematoma? I'm so sorry, it's awful

Eirlys1986 · 15/06/2023 16:45

@RoseH36 im so sorry 😢, have you rung EPAU? Maybe they can scan you earlier to see what’s happening?
@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 I’m just back from EPAU, all confirmed on scans and very clear for them to see which was actually a relief as I wanted no ambiguity. They’ve kindly sorted all the meds for me today and I will take them tomorrow morning. In laws now know and having toddler all tomorrow when hopefully the worst will be over by evening and he can come back to us all being well. OH will also be with me all day as they said I can’t be on my own. One set of friends also now know as we have to miss their little ones 4th birthday on Saturday and for various reasons I wanted to tell them rather than give a lame excuse for none attendance which could’ve resulted in them feeling upset

Un7breakable · 15/06/2023 16:59

@RoseH36 I'm so sorry x

Un7breakable · 15/06/2023 17:02

I've got a bit of an update tested this afternoon and this came up! There's no way it could be a false positive is it? Control is on the left. Threw my wee out so waiting a few hours before I do a digital to show DP. No symptoms apart from mild cramping and sore boobs.

I've got an appointment with the gynecologist for spotting this weekend. Do I cancel or still go? Some of my private bloods were a bit high so was going to bring that up.

Eirlys1986 · 15/06/2023 17:29

@Un7breakable congratulations! I don’t think in anyone’s books that could be considered a false positive as it’s stonkingly positive! Perhaps you could ring the gynae secretary for some advice?

RoseH36 · 15/06/2023 17:29

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 I've had a bit, its so hard to distinguish between that and SPD type feelings I was getting to be honest.

@Eirlys1986 thank you and I'm glad for you that it's a clear answer so no waiting any longer to know one way or the other.

@Un7breakable thank you and that looks like a very dark line.

EPAU have said they'll scan me on Monday. Need to do a test that morning and only go in if it's positive.
I just feel numb at the moment and can't believe it looks like its happening again. Bit of blood on my pad but not loads but I don't feel like there's any point trying to remain hopeful.

Un7breakable · 15/06/2023 17:35

@Eirlys1986 If I can find some privacy at work I will.

I'll wait till I get a digital positive first. I don't trust the internet cheapy. I don't feel pregnant at all.

Eirlys1986 · 15/06/2023 17:48

@Un7breakable I would counter that with the fact an internet cheapie is more likely to be less sensitive so a positive on that is perhaps more trustworthy.
It will definitely be great to have the positive digital to show to OH but I would recommend getting alongside that another form of early response test if you can. I have had 2 instances of a digital test giving me a false positive reading (once when ttc 3 years ago and once when I was a student a bloody terrified!)- I can only assume something went tits up with the circuits that give the digital result so I don’t particularly trust those either! X

Un7breakable · 15/06/2023 17:52

@Eirlys1986 Oh god. I didn't think about that with digitals. Got some FRERs somewhere.

I've checked the cheapee it's a 10 mg or whatever one so quite sensitive.

Eirlys1986 · 15/06/2023 18:07

@Un7breakable 👍🏻 I mostly mentioned it to be honest as I didn’t want you to panic if you get a negative on a digital as there’s almost that extra step there where the electronic system has to read the line and the correct display come up as a result. Just do digital and a frer 👍🏻

Un7breakable · 15/06/2023 18:08

@Eirlys1986 Thanks. I hope you are doing ok x

Eirlys1986 · 15/06/2023 18:20

Thankyou @Un7breakable I am doing ok. Just looking forward to tomorrow being over and done with and hopefully as straightforward as can be 👍🏻

RoseH36 · 15/06/2023 19:47

@Un7breakable definitely use the frer if you can find it, they seem to be more accurate than others.

Un7breakable · 15/06/2023 19:52

@RoseH36 did it and then told DP.who I think is in shock.

@Un7breakable I’m really so pleased for you! All Great looking results 😊 x

Bumblebee413 · 15/06/2023 19:56

Such a lot to catch up on! Well done for going on your own this afternoon @Eirlys1986, it can’t have been easy. Horrible timing for that letter 😠 I hope it goes swiftly for you tomorrow- I’ll be thinking of you. Please don’t for a minute worry about posting here, this is exactly what this thread is for x

Im sorry @RoseH36, such a difficult time. Hoping that you do make it to the scan and that it’s positive news for you.

Huge congratulations @Un7breakable, that’s such a clear line!!

So, I got my positive OPK today. It was such a clear line. Unfortunately, with DH being 1500 miles away since Sunday and a BFN this evening (I’m CD 22- I have absolutely no excuse for this ridiculous behaviour 🤣) I’m out until late July when he’s back again 🤦🏼‍♀️

But. At least I know I managed to ovulate this cycle and now I can just focus on losing weight and getting healthy again for the next two months.

RoseH36 · 15/06/2023 20:09

@Un7breakable no denying that! Congratulations and keeping everything crossed for you.

@Bumblebee413 no chance for me I don't think, bleeding fairly heavy now. Glad to hear you've got a positive opk but disappointing you have to wait so long.

Eirlys1986 · 15/06/2023 20:16

@Bumblebee413 thanks for thinking of me, I will certainly draw on support from you all over the coming days and weeks. You have all been truely incredible and helped so much. The nurses at the EPAU were so lovely today so I managed to get through the whole thing without any tears and just felt they were so professional and caring.
I too will be focusing again on healthier eating and getting back to my yoga etc which has dropped since having a toddler once my miscarriage has happened and I am waiting for cycles to settle back down etc.

TrudyProud · 15/06/2023 20:54

Amazing result @Un7breakable

Glad today went as well as it could @Eirlys1986 . It's can't have been easy.

Eirlys1986 · 15/06/2023 20:57

Thanks @TrudyProud , it felt easier than expected; I think perhaps because I’m very familiar with that hospital as used to work there/ had my son there etc so there are lots of varied memories and experiences there for me both positive and less positive.
Wont lie, I am frightened of what I have to get through tomorrow but hopefully this time tomorrow things will be already improving x

DmcinT · 15/06/2023 21:34

@Eirlys1986 glad to hear things went as well as could be today, I was thinking on u and will be tomorr❤️ As u say this time tomorr it may be nearly over for u (as hard as that feels too). The waiting I felt was the hardest part for me x

Eirlys1986 · 15/06/2023 21:53

@DmcinT thank you so much for thinking of me. I am now definitely in the phase where I know the worst has happened so I now want it to be over. However, when I imagine thinking I will go back to not being pregnant that does make me feel sad.

LeopardLover · 15/06/2023 22:04

@Eirlys1986 Just popping on to check on you! Really sorry about the letter. What awful timing, that must've been hard. 😔 Really glad you have some clear next steps and also pleased you won't be alone tomorrow. I hope it's as quick as can be with minimal pain. I'm assuming you also take pain killers at the same time?

Your plan of getting back into yoga sounds good. Sending you all the virtual hugs! X

LeopardLover · 15/06/2023 22:05

@RoseH36 I'm so sorry you've been through quite the emotional roller coaster. Are you in much pain? 😔 I hope you get some answers. Sorry you have to wait until Monday to know what's going on 💔xx

LeopardLover · 15/06/2023 22:06

@Un7breakable Congratulations!! Some much needed positive news to give us all hope. 💜 Those lines are undeniable!! 🌟
