Hi everyone!!
Wanted to start another group thread for those TTC that are 35+.
When I was first trying, this group helped me a lot. We bonded and went through pains and celebrations together. I had two MCs over 2yrs of trying and lots of crying as I was typing many of my posts. Support helped... Especially at this age.
I had my first baby Jan 2022 and here we are now trying for baby #2.
I'll be 40 this summer!!!
Join me and share your story ☺️

So brown spotting before your heavy days usually means low progesterone. I'm talking upwards of 7 days of spotting before!!
I didn't know that's what it was and my family doctor has told me for years that spotting is fine. Turns out it's not.
Fertility clinic took 18 viles of blood and somehow progesterone wasn't one of them.
I ended up digging more into spotting and found an article about low progesterone so during one of the consultations, I brought it up to the doctor who said, let's try putting you on progesterone. It worked.

Thanks for sharing this. Been having some issues with spotting so have a phone call with GP booked and asking for a blood test.

Hope your BFP comes soon

Oh FFS, I was hoping for my static smiley face this morning but instead I've somehow broken my test holder. I honestly can't believe this. I'm so frustrated. I just want to know if I'm ovulating - because I'm breastfeeding I can use all the other physiological markers.

Those who use other OPKs please share links so I can get some for my next cycle

O no @TrudyProud ! I used CB advanced Ovulation tests and easy at home strips, along with premom app. Xx

BengalMama · 01/03/2023 09:37

@TrudyProud I've used the pink CB opks and thr easy at home ones from amazon which you can load into the premom app like @Floralsandsmiles So sorry this month is being a real pain for you!

@Freya8 So sorry as well! When you take the test strip out of thr CB holder, is there a second line at all? I know the CB tests don't work that way but it must be picking something up in order to flash! Sending love ❤️ keep strong!

Yay! Amazing @Freya8 !! And I still read the lines on the CB test as it read the numbers on levels fine for me! So I did both the strips and also CB! 😊 xxxx

Mummyme87 · 01/03/2023 11:48

@TrudyProud I use the easy@home OPk. Get them from Amazon. They are the best ones I’ve used and I upload them on to the premom app which you don’t need to do.

I’m CD9, didn’t get a chance to test yesterday at work as first toilet trip of the day (bar initial wake up one at 6.20) was at 4pm 😬😬. However I will do one later although may not be accurate as I’ve been to the gym so necked huge amounts of fluid. I do have alot of EWCM however today which is reassuring 👍

VixFromThe6ix · 01/03/2023 18:52

Girls,

If you were me and this is cd18 and this is my reading today at 10am. 1.58 on premom app. Would you DTD tonight?? I'm so worried about short luteal phase. Should I skip this cycle and see if I'm ovulating earlier next mos?

Yes!

Un7breakable · 01/03/2023 18:54

Sorry, not clear, yes BD

FiddleLeaf · 01/03/2023 18:55

You test is exactly like mine tonight and I’m DTD. I always get my period 14 days after I ovulate whether I ovulate early or late so I would go for it.

I’m only on day 12 so ovulating early this month after my hycosy.

good luck!

VixFromThe6ix · 01/03/2023 19:00

Ok thank you for reassurance ladies 💕 told hubby to start getting excited , 😆

Nice one @VixFromThe6ix that's such a strong line! I'd definitely BD tonight and tomorrow if you can! ❤

I don't think I'm going to get a peak. This is the first time I've tried OPKs in a few years and it seems the same issue is still there. It just doesn't seem to happen for me.

I can't even go by temperatures this month as I've had Strep A and a fever for the last week 😂🤦🏻‍♀️

@TheBirdintheCave what is the issue with them? Do you get lines but not a peak? I'm getting this problem and it's my first time using OPK's too

Sorry to hear you're feeling discouraged. Why do you think you're not getting a peak? How many CDs are you?

Sorry to read this. It must be really frustrating!

What OPKs are you trying? And have you had a day 21 blood test?

TheBirdintheCave · 01/03/2023 21:50

Just the Easy@Home ones and the Premom app. I definitely ovulate as I've had plenty of scans confirming it before, it's just hard to catch a peak on OPKs for some reason. They're always two darkish lines for me 🤷🏻‍♀️ For the last few months I've gone by temperatures which proved to be very accurate.

Mummyme87 · 01/03/2023 22:13

@VixFromThe6ix your luteal phase should stay the same and just ovulation day potentially vary. My LP is always 12days
