2023 TTC 35+

Hi everyone!!
Wanted to start another group thread for those TTC that are 35+.
When I was first trying, this group helped me a lot. We bonded and went through pains and celebrations together. I had two MCs over 2yrs of trying and lots of crying as I was typing many of my posts. Support helped... Especially at this age.
I had my first baby Jan 2022 and here we are now trying for baby #2.
I'll be 40 this summer!!!

@Freya8 I tested positive at 8dpo last time, but I've also spent some months testing and being disappointed. And it seems like such a waste of money! Basically £5 a pee

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 wow thats early! I was 9dpo on a frer last time round tho ive deliberately not got any in the house for now as i would cave n test lol ive a load of cheapies there i just dont think they would show anything yet

@Freya8 No tests here either, otherwise I might have tried this morning! I think deep down I think I'll be disappointed this month, so okay to wait 🤷‍♀️

@VixFromThe6ix thank you, I stopped testing now! No matter how much I pee on a stick and no matter how much money I flush down the toilet with it, it won't change the outcome.

All I can do is take my vitamins and eat healthily (relatively, hehe). I don't drink or smoke anyway.

11dpo, no tests in the house although have frer on the way. AF due Friday. I feel a bit twingey today, almost nerve like in lower back, lower abdomen, pelvis area which feels odd. Probs just my body being a dick.

@Mummyme87 lmao cannot breathe .. "prob my body being a dick" lol ur a day ahead of me sounds promisin with the twinges! Gimme a twinge gimme a sore nip!! Gimme somethin lol!!! Fingers crossed for u

Don't count yourself out - this is exactly how I felt (pain, low mood) and I was convinced AF was on the day. But the cramping was implantation xx

Just realised AF due Thursday not Friday. Don’t know what day week or month it is

Laid in bed the other night "Ooh, I've got lower back pain... maybe implantation?....... Or, maybe I'm just old" 🤣

Do evap lines show up when you invert a photo? I’m convinced I can see something on this. But probs line eyes 👀

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 😓 you never know though. My obsessive googling in previous cycles found lots of ppl with spotting between 9 and 14 dpo who turned out to be pregnant

@TTCnumberfour if it’s not obvious and pink on a FRER I find it’s usually an indent. They’re cruel 😞

@Muriel84 they have arrived but I’m at work so will be for tomorrow.

definitely feeling uncomfortable in pelvis area, different uncomfortable. Probably nothing but I can hope

@Muriel84 and @Un7breakable difficult to say as I only stopped breastfeeding a few weeks ago. I did last month though I see from my chart. I feel like my period will start soon.

@TTCnumberfour good luck! I cannot see but when they're faint, sometimes it's clearer in person

So I’ve stupidly done a FRER after work. Was concentrated urine with about 6hrs since last went to the toilet, and there’s definitely a line. It could well be an indent, I’ve been stung before but it’s there, even in bright light. Wish I hadn’t tested and waited until tomorrow

This thread is so useful, thanks so much everyone for sharing your stories. I'm 37, TTC #1. Currently using the Clearblue Advanced OPK and got a static smiley face today. First month using OPKs and third cycle TTC.

@Mummyme87 hopefully it’s a “real” result and not an indent. I also hope you can get some rest tonight before testing tomorrow, hope you have more tests!

@VixFromThe6ix thank you :). I got sick of getting negative tests and then waiting for af 🙄, so now I just like to keep the hope alive for as long as possible lol.

@Golaz yup 🙄, 18 month old gets up twice a night on average for boobs which I count myself lucky for compared to the previous frequent get ups. He has “slept through” about 4 times in his life (again count myself lucky for those 4 nights!). I’m sure bottle, boob whatever fed they all keep us up at night the little blighters. Whoever claimed they should begin to sleep through the night at 4 months is a liar 🤥 😂

@Eirlys1986 @Golaz i feel for you both that sounds so tough. Mine was an atrocious sleeper until about 13 months when something clicked. I guess I sort of inadvertently night weaned around the same time cos I was so touched out and losing the plot having gone back to work. Fortunately he sleeps well now, though goes to bed at 9. That first year was so hard - I learned I have high sleep requirements even if bub didn’t! X
