Hi everyone!!
Wanted to start another group thread for those TTC that are 35+.
When I was first trying, this group helped me a lot. We bonded and went through pains and celebrations together. I had two MCs over 2yrs of trying and lots of crying as I was typing many of my posts. Support helped... Especially at this age.
I had my first baby Jan 2022 and here we are now trying for baby #2.
I'll be 40 this summer!!!

@Eirlys1986 it really is! I’m very much a share the mental burden sort of person so it’s odd for me to completely shut down with ttc stuff. Makes it feel even more internalised and obsessive 🙈😬 I’ve not tested today but had more spotting. I have bought some more early boots tests and will see tomorrow perhaps. My thoughts are this is all failed implantation so I may get a faint positive. Hope af comes quickly this weekend and I shall enjoy a glass of Prosecco and crack on with CD1! Xxx

@overthinkersanonnymus hey! We also only dtd once in my fw. 35 is young in this group! I was 36 when I had my first and still felt like I was a young mum! (In my deluded head…) xxx

@Muriel84 , you never know it may not be failed implantation, I had some funny bleeding with a clot and strong cramps a few days before pregnant with my first. I can understand just wanting to know either way and get on with things (and some Prosecco!) though.

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 So sorry to hear about your Dad 💔 Mine is doing okay, now - thank you! He has a rare autoimmune disease, so he can have really serious episodes. We've nearly lost him a couple of times, then he had a tumour so needed additional treatment for that... But we're in a good phase at the moment.

@Muriel84 I don't think you're out just yet, seems similar to a friend of mine when she fell pregnant! Sending lots of positive vibes. Also I know what you mean about needing to share and not internalise!

AF appears to be arriving shortly, so onto cycle 2 for me! I am a mix of slightly disappointed and also relief that if and when I get pregnant after this I can say the baby isnt coming till next year so it will make it sound less scary whilst trying to handle my 17 month old running around trashing the joint 😂 … left him for a short period to collect his toast this morning to return to coals from the fake fire being hurled out into the hallway and a suspicious coal moustache on his face 😆

@Eirlys1986 hahaha that's cute! I'm sure cleaning up constantly isn't. I'm in the same boat with my 14mos old. Can't leave him for a minute. He got to my lipstick drawer the other day... Oh man. Super stay ones really do stay on.... My floors and carpet. 😂

@VixFromThe6ix 😂, it is really funny as occasionally when I have a day like today I do doubt my sanity in wanting another one, then he puts his cutesy face on and I remember why

@Eirlys1986 honestly, same!! Some days I wonder how will I manage to take care of both but I see how smart and funny and cute he is, I want another one. I also wanna see him play with someone instead of just alone or with his mama 😜

@VixFromThe6ix i regularly think what the actual bell Domi want another baby for. My two DS can often drive me to tears, particularly the eldest. But here we are 😐

@Eirlys1986 sorry to hear af is here early. I literally have no idea how I’d cope with two… he sounds so cute tho! Why do they make fake coal leave coal dust?! So not necessary! @VixFromThe6ix my LO tried to run off with a handful of lipsticks in Superdrug last week 🙈 I guess they do look like crayons!

@LeopardLover thanks hun. I’m not feeling hopeful at all! Still felt very nauseous this morning. Brown spotting continues. I don’t think I’ll test again.

Just downloaded fertility friend cos Ovia was really annoying me with its stupid tips. Don’t think I can face temping tho! Was annoying enough before my toddler arrived… x x x

@VixFromThe6ix - definitely getting to see him play with someone else would be great 😊 💕 doesn’t stop the fear factor of managing extra kids for us though! 😆
@Muriel84 - thanks 🙏, actually, on looking back through cycles from 2020/2021 when trying for first baby I think I quite routinely have a 24 day cycle- went down a rabbit hole of google worry this morning when AF appeared worrying about short literal phases etc.Then I reminded myself I have had a perfectly healthy and relatively quick to conceive pregnancy with those cycles before so shall try not to focus too much on that at present. I hope you get a more definite signal from your body soon as to whether full AF is going to make a visit or not!

AF arrived 2 days ago. I googled to see (crazy, I appreciate) what the due date would be if we were lucky this time around.... 25th December. 😄

@LeopardLover I had my scan results back! They said lining is a 5 and 6, I came on that day and said that's good. They said no cysts and said nothing ovaries are functioning, apparently the left is functioning better (that's the one I feel all the time when I ovulate too). So this is good! I've done my cd3 bloods and waiting on O then will book thr next set of bloods 7 days after that. So getting somewhere. How are you? Xxx

@Floralsandsmiles That's great news! Things have gone in a different order for me...I've had bloods done already and came back fine, then DH has his tests next month and my scan isn't until September!
I'm with the NHS though, so if you have gone private that might explain the difference.

How is everyone doing?
11/12dpo for me today, AF due tomorrow or Saturday. I've not tested yet but been doing a lot of overthinking and convincing myself I can feel twinges/aches in my pelvis and lower back, but I'm quite sure it is all in my head as when I'm busy I don't notice them...it's only when I'm thinking about it!

Hi @vitahelp! Nope we are NHS too. Just had my first private fertility acupuncture session though and have some way to go xxxx

@overthinkersanonnymus you’ll go cross eyed staring at those sticks you know! 😂 I feel like when I quickly look at the left hand picture I can see it but then when I look closer I can’t. As you say, probably not coming out in photos like it does in real life. Let’s hope for a more obvious (and positive!) result for you (and us all💕) soon x

Morning everyone! Any news? I’m 13dpo today and waiting for AF. Was due yday or today. I tested at 11dpo and was bfn, haven’t tested since as it got me quite down. I’ve felt quite unwell this past couple of days but feels like a cold coming on (headache, backache, stuffy nose etc). Obviously gets my hopes up slightly that I might be pregnant but it’s doubtful.

BFN of course but still shadows of evaps coming up which is frustrating

@overthinkersanonnymus oh don’t worry, I LOVE poas 😂. One of the main things I got excited about being able to do again on deciding to try for baby number 2. I have my ovulation testing stick at the ready for this cycle.
@vitahelp am keeping my fingers crossed for you for this to be your month. I’m sorry the testing has gotten you down and I hope this month will be different xx
