Hi everyone!!
Wanted to start another group thread for those TTC that are 35+.
When I was first trying, this group helped me a lot. We bonded and went through pains and celebrations together. I had two MCs over 2yrs of trying and lots of crying as I was typing many of my posts. Support helped... Especially at this age.
I had my first baby Jan 2022 and here we are now trying for baby #2.
I'll be 40 this summer!!!

@Cynthialb Lightning crotch is a great sign! 🤣 I had really bad period pains when I got my BFN. I didn't test until 18DPO because I was convinced my period was due (the restraint 😅).

@VixFromThe6ix Sorry you're out this month. Fingers crossed next month is THE month of good things! I caved and bought FRER tests months early to sit next to my OPKs. I think I'm nuts 😅 I even bought a big Christmas nightie (to match our family PJs) after Christmas in case I was pregnant come December. Positive thinking all that!

@wholerhubarbcustard welcome! Oh sorry to hear about your DS' dad. Seems like you've had a challenging time of it in the past but this month is looking positive - fingers crossed for you!

@Floralsandsmiles All good, thank you. 😊 A friend just had her second baby today (her first is the same age as my son) so feeling broody again! Thinking I won't switch jobs so I can crack on with TTC come spring. 😅 Excited to be at 3 months of folic acid come end of the month! X

@LeopardLover aw that’s so exciting. You sound properly prepared! So many of my friends with toddlers the same age as my son have had their second recently. Makes me soooo broody too. Xxx

@Muriel84 Glad it's not just me.mmIt's when you see a tiny baby and you forget how little they are at the beginning! I tried to clear out some of my son's little clothes but it just make me more broody!

Want to ask how you would all feel about this and whether your partners are similar at all? First cycle we are having unprotected sex for second child, first is 17 months (hasn’t been the easiest of kids but adorable). Now 4dpo, dtd on fixed smiley day. This morning in kitchen I make a casual remark along the lines of “I can start testing on Wednesday next week” to which other half replies “can you imagine if you’re pregnant after having sex that one time?” (Not in an excited can you imagine?! Way but in more of a “wouldn’t it be awful if…” way). I nicely asked if this meant he wouldn’t be happy if we got pregnant now, he responded that he wants our child to have a sibling but it also seems he’s somewhat in overwhelm about the whole thing. He definitely wants another sprog and I’m 37 so we can’t be waiting about. I think he academically appreciates this but perhaps is feeling a bit scared. Anyone have similar or any thoughts? Ps our relationship is great so I’m happy to talk with him about his thoughts/ feelings but I was slightly suprised by his reaction today

Ps it’s left me feeling like a bit of a baby crazed mummasaurus who maybe hasn’t fully appreciated he might not be ready yet (but when will anyone feel truely ready IMO) 😆

I think many men are like this. With my DP I had to point out that at our age if we wanted more than one we needed to get started. He hadn't really considered it. It's not as all consuming for them as it is for us.

Thanks @Un7breakable , it is a bit annoying to be taking on majority of the physical and mental load of child rearing and alongside that also having to be the “manager” of our fertility situation too! I do understand this is perhaps going to be a shared experience with many and I didn’t exactly expect him to share my sense of excitement at trying again but it was literally like he hadn’t put two and two together this morning …like unprotected Sex= baby?! Whhhat?! 😂

Hey ladies, I had a BFN yesterday and AF is due tomorrow so soon I’ll be officially out.

Oh well! Onto cycle 14 😐

@Eirlys1986 men 🙄 what did he think unprotected sex was for 😅
He is probably just shocked it can happen this quickly. I'm sure once you get your bfp, he will be over the moon.

To those who got bfn, massive baby dust for the next cycle.

If it's any consolation, dp offered me a drink, I said I didn't want to risk it. He replied risk what. I had to spell out that drinking during TWW wasn't a good idea as I could be pregnant. 🤦

🙄 they are ridiculous sometimes aren’t they? That does make me feel better though so thanks! 😂 we will be going out with all his family this Saturday and I was planning on mentioning to him I obviously won’t he drinking but think I won’t bother now 😂

Thanks @VixFromThe6ix , he did concede this morning “of course” he would be happy if I was pregnant this month (feel like maybe that was a token thing said to make me feel better 😂).
I doubt very much I shall be lucky enough to get the positive after one roll in the sheets on first month of trying but you never know!

Hahaha this was our first cycle too and boy was I hopeful.... But hey I'm keeping positive for you!!! We need our first bfp in here!!

Sorry I went a bit awol. I’m 12dpo, BFN and have some mucous browny/dark discharge. AF defo starting, will be full flow in the morning. On to the next cycle

Thanks my love. I always get to this stage and just want AF to arrive as if feels like a fresh start and hope again!

Yes I'm impatient to move onto the next cycle also! Just got faint brown spotting at the moment for the last couple of days....

I ordered ubiquinol and Proceive to try to help this cycle with egg and sperm quality. We've been pretty stressed- living with relatives, house renovation, full on for moth of us at work, lots of sickness and days off nurseries, and now a terribly jet lagged baby that has suddenly stopped sleeping through and is up all night
