Hi everyone!!
Wanted to start another group thread for those TTC that are 35+.
When I was first trying, this group helped me a lot. We bonded and went through pains and celebrations together. I had two MCs over 2yrs of trying and lots of crying as I was typing many of my posts. Support helped... Especially at this age.
I had my first baby Jan 2022 and here we are now trying for baby #2.
I'll be 40 this summer!!!

Finally ovulated after a two week delay courtesy of Strep A 🤦🏻‍♀️ 2dpo today. Feels like I've already done the two week wait so being back at the beginning again is galling 🙄

Well done for ovulating @TheBirdintheCave, I know it's horrible but an egg is an egg! I am hoping to get there soon too, signs are so far positive so hopefully tomorrow :)

Though I've been feeling so hormonal and just snappy yesterday and today, it's not my usual self. No idea what's different.

@antanddecland i second what everyone else said. Have you had any professional support? Ttc/having a baby is an absolute emotional rollercoaster and if you’re harbouring a lot of guilt at the start might be good to speak to someone?

I had a positive cheapie opk last Thursday. Does that make me 6dpo today? I’m not using premom as trying not to spend too much! Xxx

@VixFromThe6ix It seems to vary from month to month. Sometimes I start testing from 8dpo and other times I wait until 12dpo. Not sure what I'll do this time. I'm so bored of this cycle. Just want to get to the end and start a new one as I'm definitely not pregnant.

@Muriel84 5dpo I'd say. You normally ovulate on average 24 hours after a positive OPK.

Girls can i ask your opinion. Im 13dpo static smiley on 1st march. Bfn this morn on easy at home test. Like honest truth is that me out?

@Freya8 i dont think you’re out till af arrives. The ovulation tests are never 100%, and implantation varies. But I the closer you get to your period due date I guess the less likely it is if still getting bfn. Xxx

@Muriel84 thanks babes yeh i mean nothing i can do but wait this out. Dont even know wen my period due date is lollll awh god im a mess 😫

@Freya8 oh god it’s so hard. What did you use to test? I wasn’t planning on testing unless af was late but seem to have accidentally bought some early tests in boots yesterday cos they were on offer 🙄🙄🙄 xxx

@Muriel84 i used a frer on 9dpo neg. Used another frer on 11dpo neg. Used an easy at home this morn 13dpo neg. Purposely havent bought anymore dear ones as im clutchin on to .... nothin lmaooo was gonna say some hope but nope its all diminished now! I seen the boots ones on offer too lol but made myself not buy!!!

I hear you @Freya8 just slight spotting for me and BFN tests! I tested this morning too at 14DPO. No idea what's going on, assuming I am defo out as a test should have picked up by now? AF is due today.. xxx

@Floralsandsmiles its so hard this! I think im raging at myself too as i swore goin into this that i wouldnt let it consume me but frig well it has completely and this is only my first month. Need to shake myself here and stop thinkin way way ahead. Jus get this af to come already n move on xxx its so annoyin sorry as i know we had flashin smileys together so all that was a worry in itself as we thought we would never get a static! Xx

Lol yes @Freya8 with each other each step of the way! Hopefully we will know what's going on soon and if that means moving onto a new cycle, its a fresh start xxx

@Freya8 I've read some stories where some women didn't get a bfp till like 14dpo. And still had healthy pregnancies.
Personally, if it's negative by 11-12dpo, I consider myself out. I was pregnant 3 times and I got positives early on with all 3 (8dpo-10dpo). But that's just how I am.... A little cup half empty thinking 😅
But other ladies are right, not out till your period comes.

@Floralsandsmiles does that mean your period still hasn't arrived? Is it late?

I think I'm 11 dpo, I used a digital I had lying around and it was negative so I think I'm out. Also got period achy feeling in my stomach.

Im 11 dpo today, last night i had sharp stabbing feeling for few seconds im my private are (labia area i guess) is this common? Because it was so painful. Other than that i had lower abdominal pain but today only tummy pain.

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 yep! Just random spotting on and off for the last 6 days now! Hardly anything and no AF! BfN on tests too! It's doing my head in! Xxx

Yup, I was exactly 14 DPO when I got a positive on my Frer and the day before(and preceding days) had negatives on frer. Had cramping the day before expecting period to arrive and was very grumpy 😡- tiny blood clot only on the anticipatory tampon I put in (so assume this was implantation bleed). Went on to have a healthy pregnancy which has resulted in my 17 month old! This is all with a varying cycle between 24-28 days 😀so there’s always still hope even if negative on day 11,12,13 dpo from my experience at least

Ps don’t get me wrong I will still likely start testing like a crazy person on day 7-8 dpo 😂

Hi ladies can I join? I'm currently 35 partner is 27. I have an 8yr old, who's dad sadly passed 2 years ago. I never thought I would want to have another but here we are. This will be partners 1st.

With my dc it took 5yrs for us to conceive and then 2 years where I had a mmc. Current partners ex had 2 pregnancies but chose abortion. We are on month 1 of ttc, my cycles are usually 32 days long, currently on day 28 and feel what could be pms or early pregnancy. I want to hold off to test but getting a bit impatient
