2023 TTC 35+

Hi everyone!!
Wanted to start another group thread for those TTC that are 35+.
When I was first trying, this group helped me a lot. We bonded and went through pains and celebrations together. I had two MCs over 2yrs of trying and lots of crying as I was typing many of my posts. Support helped... Especially at this age.
I had my first baby Jan 2022 and here we are now trying for baby #2.
I'll be 40 this summer!!!

Thank you! So I think I'm 6dpo then, so tying in with some of you this cycle. @MK85 I get 5 days of ewcm atm, so tried three times in that period 🤷‍♀️

I'm imagining symptoms. I'm pretty sure I'm out this cycle 🤷🏼‍♀️ I felt like when my son was conceived I had this feeling. It's not there right now.
How long have you been trying ?

@VixFromThe6ix what symptoms are you having?

We had unprotected sex for 3-4 months very early days (when he was about six months) but my cycles weren't right. Then we stopped until I stopped breastfeeding, and started again this month 😬 and I'm not sure where my cycles are at now!

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 On Sunday I had a bad lower back pain very randomly. I've been tired more than usual. Sore boobs. I'm peeing more than usual.
I could have always had these around when my period is coming but now that we are officially trying I'm paying more attention.
Probably overthinking....

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 would be funny if we get pregnant same time again since our cycles seem to be close enough and I believe our boys are like says apart...

@VixFromThe6ix I have a feeling our due dates were the same and our cycles matched back them too! Would be very nice if we went through it together again 🤞

7DPO and I feel no different. I suspect it’s not our month but there’s still hope 😑

@FiddleLeaf I don't know about that. I flicked back through my Flo app for when I got pregnant, and that was the month I had zero symptoms 🤷‍♀️ Previous months I'd had cramps, back ache, sore boobs, unusual discharge etc, but that month nothing

yes, not having symptoms doesn’t mean you’re out. Most people don’t get symptoms, it’s HCG that causes the symptoms and there isn’t any in your system until after implantation which happens 7-12dpo usually and even then takes a while for the levels to increase. Some people say their discharge was different or a bit crampy around implantation but that’s not the majority

I am now day 12 of cycle and awaiting my smiley face. I am feeling nauseous on and off then this morning nauseous too more so- have any of you experienced nausea prior to ovulation before? Not something I can recall experiencing. No chance I am pregnant at present btw! 😂

I’ve got my internal ultrasound this lunchtime. Has anyone had one?

So at 9DPO (cd27) AF just reared her ugly head. I was feeling cramping and thought it was implantation. But bright red blood. So there is no way it is. I'm beside myself. 😔 therefore LF is only 8DPO??? That is shocking! I'm devasted. Bloods will be done next month to check progesterone etc.
I literally can't believe this as I was sure it was our month with so many symptoms. I can't stop crying. Xxx

@Floralsandsmiles oh Floral, it’s so hard when you feel ‘sure’ and you get your hopes up so much. I’ve had that a couple of times- felt all dizzy and ‘off’ on the bus… but nothing. Hang on in there, this wasn’t your month but no doubt, another one will be. Be gentle to yourself. X

I’m sorry @Floralsandsmiles is your LP normally this length?

I had my internal ultrasound, lots of it looking fine- SO weird seeing where the last egg was released from. But they did find a fibroid so now I have to have a procedure for them to remove it, which doesn’t sound nice. I don’t suppose anyone’s had they have they??

Oh thank you, I’m feeling a bit sorry myself! My boobs hurt today but that’s not unusual for me.

Hi all
just came across this thread to support and get support for those of us in similar situations.
We are TTC our first, we’ve been trying on and off for the past 2 years. We have lots of BFNs along the way and now struggling to work out my ovulation days as my periods are all over the place. It’s all been so draining. We know of couples in our family and friendship who pretty much got married the same year as us and after and have all got babies many of whom are on the second and/or third. I hate that feeling of being hurt and upset by the pregnancy announcements as I’m genuinely happy for couples who are expecting just so pained it isn’t us yet.
Here’s hoping 2023 will be a positive year for a lot of.

@Poppy708 I totally can relate to wanting to feel happy for your friends but still feeling sorry for your own situation. Don't compare is what I'm told often. It will come when it's meant to. Positive thoughts for you.✨🤞🏻
