Finally realised that our previous thread was full 🤣 I hope no one minds me starting up a new one!

Can you believe it's been almost a year since this was all started up?!

@BethSuz27 oh no, you poor thing! How stressful. I hope you're ok. I thought this month sounded promising but glad you're feeling OK about it.

@DesertSnow no I don't think it's implantation, although I don't usually come on early. There's been more this morning, not full flow but I think it's coming. A bit of spotting the night before I come on is normal for me 😪
Feeling pretty gutted. We're going away for the weekend and I was hoping to just get to Monday and worry about it then

Houseelf90 · 03/12/2022 11:31

Not even at ovulation day yet and I think I’ll be out this month. Partner and I had a bit of an argument yesterday, all caused by his ex wife so I can’t imagine we will DTD over the next couple of days! According to flo app I should ovulate monday, not sure make up sex is a great way to conceive but needs must, so maybe I just need to present to be all nicey nicey over the weekend 🤣🙈

LucyLoopyLu · 03/12/2022 15:55

Oh no @Houseelf90, it's so tough isn't it having to have the right timing. Hope you don't end up missing it. Half tempted to not try over December just so I don't have to think about it. I don't want to miss an opportunity though and just desperate to get a BFP now so I'm not sure I would be able to relax anyway

Houseelf90 · 03/12/2022 16:49

@LucyLoopyLu it’s such a pain having such a small window and the pressure of knowing those days!! I’ve been out shopping today and come home and we’ve had a really good chat with his son who was part of the cause of our argument! I’m feeling much better now and he’s cooking a nice meal and got some Prosecco so I think DTS might be back on, after not speaking to each other properly since Thursday morning 🙈🤣

Bananatoast123 · 03/12/2022 16:54

@LucyLoopyLu a break has definitely helped! I’ve also decided not to test early now too! I’ll next be ovulating on and around Xmas day so maybe that’s a bit of luck coming my way!! We are also off all of the holiday period so will mean I’m nice and relaxed 🙏🏼

@DesertSnow ahh try to enjoy it as much as you can! I know it’s easier said than done 🙂 I hope you have a healthy 9 months ahead of you xxx

LucyLoopyLu · 04/12/2022 17:11

@Bananatoast123 so glad you feel better after a break. Can't believe how tough this TTC is

@Houseelf90 hope you have made up with you OH now, to be fair a nice meal and a glass of wine (with a chat and a cuddle afterwards) is a great way to make up

Got full flow bleeding today after yesterday was fairly light so CD2 cycle 9.
I am really gutted to be still trying into December. Just the hope and the disappointment every month. Plus the fear that I might not ever be able to have one child let alone two. It's really shit

DesertSnow · 04/12/2022 17:43

@BethSuz27 so sorry to hear about the car crash, hope you're not too shaken.

@LucyLoopyLu I'm really sorry to hear AF arrived and you're feeling low. TTC is so hard, and I think this time of year brings it home. Please me nice to yourself and take time just for you. I know it's really hard to have faith, but each cycle brings you closer to your BFP and your baby. Thinking of you xx

@Houseelf90 so hard when you have an argument and you know you need to DTD - on my 2nd cycle trying DH and I had literally stripped off and got into bed ready to DTD and then had an argument. It's tough. Hope you guys are doing ok now.

TicklishMould89 · 04/12/2022 17:58

Hi all,

Hope I’m ok to join in? I know we’re nearly at the end of 2022 but it’s not over yet!

I’m really looking forward to having people to chat to, I’m going crazy over here and feeling alone with it all!

BethSuz27 · 04/12/2022 18:03

@DesertSnow it did shake me up yes, and I wonder if that’s what made AF come, feeling quite low about it because I really thought it was going to happen this month and I am so so ready, I know it’s only my fourth cycle now and so so many people try for years and years but I had this dream that it would happen quicker and it’s so disappointing every year…

not sure what I can do differently next month, has anyone got any ideas?

LucyLoopyLu · 04/12/2022 18:17

@DesertSnow thank you, you're very kind. I'm sorry to be such a downer but I'm trying to put on a brave face for my husband and haven't got anyone else to talk to at the moment

@BethSuz27 so sorry you're feeling this way, I really thought this month sounded promising for you too and I know exactly how you feel. I think it was cycle 4 when I had really clear symptoms and it properly got my hopes up, then AF came and a close family member announced a pregnancy all very close together.

I don't know what else you can try. I'm going to continue with my expensive vitamins and OPKs. I don't want to do temping as when I went for my scan they seemed to be pretty confident I was ovulating although I guess it's not guaranteed. I think temping would make me too obsessive. I might try preseed again this month or potentially the cough syrup trick. I am also taking evening primrose oil leading up to ovulation as I rarely get much EWCM. The only other thing I am doing is to try and keep as stress free as possible, keep up with my running (I don't do high intensity) and try and get outside every day even if for just a 20 min walk.

I also might do dry January. I don't know if that will make a difference. Won't be easy though as I have 3 parties / events where people will ask why I'm not drinking. I dread the idea people will think I'm pregnant when I'm actually not

LucyLoopyLu · 04/12/2022 18:18

@TicklishMould89 hi, of course you can join. There are lots of good threads on here with supportive people. How long have you been TTC?

Houseelf90 · 04/12/2022 18:19

@LucyLoopyLu @DesertSnow we are all good now thank you, and the wine definitely helped with DTD last night (didn’t even make it upstairs 🙈🙈) 🤣🤣
I’ve got a bit of a migraine so normally I would just go to bed and sleep it off but I really don’t want to waste any fertile days so I’m going to try and power on through tonight too!!

TicklishMould89 · 04/12/2022 18:27

@LucyLoopyLu Thankyou :) on month five, OH had his vasectomy reversal in July so in that respect it’s still early days really. I was due AF on Friday but negative cheap test this morning. I ovulated late apparently though and I’m 11dpo.

How long has it been for you?

@Houseelf90 best of luck for your powering through! Hope the migraine goes soon!

@BethSuz27 what are you currently trying so far?

LucyLoopyLu · 04/12/2022 18:34

@TicklishMould89 I just got AF yesterday so starting cycle 9. Finding it really tough now. I usually feel better once AF has finished though and more positive so just need to get through the next 3 days. I think it's easier when you have something new to do every cycle but I'm running out of new things tbf 😂

LucyLoopyLu · 04/12/2022 18:35

@Houseelf90 well sounds more exciting than the usual scheduled DTD! Hope your migraine is better soon, they're a nightmare aren't they x

TicklishMould89 · 04/12/2022 18:39

@LucyLoopyLu bless you, I’m already very impatient and finding it tough so I really sympathise! I hope the next few days go really quickly for you and you’re back to a more positive mindset :) are your cycles normally regular? what new things have you been trying each month?

feel free to tell me to bugger off if I’m being too nosey!

Houseelf90 · 04/12/2022 18:54

@TicklishMould89 thank you, and welcome to the thread!

@LucyLoopyLu sometimes you just have to spice it up a bit don’t you! I’ve been getting quite a lot of migraines recently, I seem to go through phases. The lights in the office seem to affect me quite a bit but I only go in Tuesdays and Wednesdays, and I’ve had quite a few on other days recently, really frustrating! X

PinkButtercups · 04/12/2022 19:13

My beautiful babies were born yesterday 🥰.

I had a girl and a boy!
We named them Autumn & Bodhi.

Had an epidural which didn't work at all so gave birth on gas and air instead. They were born 8 minutes apart and Bodhi was breech.

Autumn spent the night in neonatal as she swallowed some of her waters which she had a poo in. They're back together now where they belong 🥰.

Welshgal85 · 04/12/2022 19:17

Hi all, hope you are all okay.
Im feeling a bit conflicted, my ovulation window is coming up but it’s a week when both me and DP are extremely busy with stressful work stuff. Part of me thinks to just skip this month and try again in New Year but on the other hand I don’t want to lose the chance this month.

I’m not sure either of us is really going to feel like DTD over the next few days and find it difficult to just get on and do it anyway if that makes sense? Interested to hear how you all cope with feeling like that?

Welshgal85 · 04/12/2022 19:18

Congratulations @PinkButtercups ! 💕

Springblooms08 · 04/12/2022 19:23

@PinkButtercups huge huge congratulations!!!! So thrilled for you. I remember when you got your BFP on one or the early threads. I hope you’re doing well and love the names you’ve chosen ❤

Springblooms08 · 04/12/2022 19:28

@Welshgal85 I know what you mean with this. On cycles like that we tried to both have a nice relaxing shower and then to see how we felt and hopefully DTD, even if it’s brief one! I think the time we conceived we when we were both in a mega rush and had about 10 minutes to spare in the morning before both running out the door 😂

We also had loads of times when it just didn’t happen because life got in the way/were knackered. Really can’t be helped sometimes unfortunately but it’s frustrating to feel like you could be missing out

Houseelf90 · 04/12/2022 19:33

@PinkButtercups congratulations to you all and welcome to the world Autumn and Bodhi 💗💙 hope you are doing well, pleased to hear the babies are back together 🥰

LucyLoopyLu · 04/12/2022 21:13

@PinkButtercups congratulations!!! Lovely news! So glad for you all ❤️❤️ thank you for keeping us updated. Hope you are all able to go home soon

LucyLoopyLu · 04/12/2022 21:25

@TicklishMould89 thank you! Yes normally regular-ish. Between 28 and 32 days usually. On the list of new things... hmm... OPKs, pre-seed, DTD every other day, DTD 3 days in a row over ov, evening primrose oil, Brazil nuts after ov (I bet this doesn't work).

Last on the list of options are the cough syrup trick (might give that a go this month as have the right one in the cupboard anyway) / maybe the fertilily. I'm not keen on the idea of the fertility but might be a last resort in Jan. I've seen some other people say good things

@Houseelf90 yeah nothing wrong with spicing things up a bit!

@Welshgal85 we have just been going on anyway otherwise we would have missed nearly every cycle as there is always something stressful going on. You could just see if you could DTD once or twice. Do you use OPKs? The consultant we spoke to said to DTD regularly (at least 3x a week) and if busy etc then it's fine to use OPKs to help time it if you can't manage it as often. You only need one try at the right time. On the other hand if one of you really doesn't want to then don't push it. I think it's better to miss a cycle than end up putting too much pressure on each other as you need to support each other after all
