Finally realised that our previous thread was full 🤣 I hope no one minds me starting up a new one!

Can you believe it's been almost a year since this was all started up?!

@DesertSnow that has gone so fast can't believe your due date is so close

@LucyLoopyLu is it tomorrow your bloods ? hope they go well

LucyLoopyLu · 28/07/2023 15:32

@Houseelf90 really hoping you're at least 2.5cm next time they check! Rooting for you. Thanks for the advice, I think last time maybe I could have been better hydrated as it was an early appointment but didn't make any difference this time really. All tips always appreciated though.

@Dreamingof3 hi! What a lovely name, so glad to hear you're both doing well but sorry to hear about your house stress! That must be awful. Having something like that hanging over you is just stressful isn't it. Really hope you get sorted soon. Not the same situation but we had a lot of house stress from 2020 to early this year and just seeing the other side of it now which is lovely.

@DesertSnow wow you're nearly there! Hope you're not feeling too uncomfortable. At least there is an end point in sight with the c section booked! Would love to hear how you're getting on if you feel able to come back and let us know x very best wishes .

@krissy12 yes just came back from having my bloods done. I've felt really stressed all week, combination of work and this worry so I'm glad it's done. They had to take it from my hand but at least I was mentally a bit more prepared this time and they didn't try multiple different places this time thank god. I did everything I could re hydration, keeping warm, even had some diazepam off the doctor to keep me calm but not sure that did anything at all really. It was horrible and painful but at least it is done and it was sorted fairly quickly which is better for the nurse. I wish I could just wave a magic wand and get rid of my phobia. My rational mind knows it's stupid but it just takes over somewhere from my subconscious. I think we might be having Italian tonight as my reward - I'm now trying low(ish) carb to try and get my testosterone down (hate it as I love carby food) so it will be nice to have pasta or pizza and a dessert

LucyLoopyLu · 28/07/2023 15:33

@krissy12 sorry forgot to say how are you? Hope you're not feeling too anxious x

Houseelf90 · 28/07/2023 15:48

@LucyLoopyLu thank you, I will try and keep you updated!
Sorry to hear that you didn’t have a good experience again, but I’m glad they managed to get some blood this time!! Enjoy your Italian tonight 😊 we are off to London tomorrow for a date day/nice meal - my grandma got us a voucher for Christmas so we wanted to use that before baby arrives but I am now dreading a day in London, looking forward to the meal part though and thankfully my partner is very understanding that I need regular breaks, walking slowly etc now!

DesertSnow · 28/07/2023 17:53

@LucyLoopyLu Well done for getting through it! Glad they managed to take the blood, great achievement. Enjoy your Italian guilt-free tonight!

krissy12 · 28/07/2023 19:52

@LucyLoopyLu sorry you had such a bad time of it doesn't sound like a nice experience but at least its over with you can try relax and enjoy your dinner

I'm okay thanks got my next scan on Wednesday will hopefully feel better then

Welshgal85 · 28/07/2023 22:14

@LucyLoopyLu not much of an update here. Back in fertile window so hopefully this month will be the one 🤞🏻

LucyLoopyLu · 31/07/2023 21:24

@Houself90 thanks! Hope you enjoyed your day in London in the end x

@DesertSnow thanks lovely. It really shouldn't be this hard should it! Just a simple blood test

@krissy12 good luck for your scan on Weds 💚

@Welshgal85 hoping this is your lucky cycle 🤞

We've booked a holiday for February and the flights are non-refundable. Hoping this is enough for the universe to decide I can get pregnant now

DesertSnow · 01/08/2023 11:57

@LucyLoopyLu Ah we all have things that we find hard, don't be harsh on yourself if blood tests are one of your things. You're a champ for persevering xx

krissy12 · 01/08/2023 18:42

thank you @LucyLoopyLu I like your thinking with the holiday

Houseelf90 · 01/08/2023 21:58

@LucyLoopyLu we had a lovely time thank you! Fingers crossed booking your holiday works 🤞🏼🤞🏼

LucyLoopyLu · 02/08/2023 10:44

An update.

My progesterone test came back normal.
The GP got in touch this morning to tell me the result and that they have processed my referral to the fertility department at the local hospital.

They've also given me a contact number to call and enquire about the waiting times, so I'll probably give them a ring on Friday to find out what the damage is.

If it's more than 3-4 months for the first appointment we might look to book something privately.

Just worked out yesterday that my husband's going to be away over the whole of my next fertile window. So I'll have to have a month off from trying 😕

Hormone / whatever friendly low carb diet is being put to the test over the next couple of days as I'm away with work. Not sure how I will navigate the beige lunch buffet

krissy12 · 02/08/2023 18:40

@LucyLoopyLu that's good they have done a referral hopefully the wait won't be too long

DesertSnow · 02/08/2023 18:47

@LucyLoopyLu Glad to hear progesterone is normal. Really hope you aren't kept waiting too long.

@krissy12 Was it your scan today? How did it go?

krissy12 · 02/08/2023 19:00

@DesertSnow yeah it was today and it went well thank you 7 weeks now

Houseelf90 · 02/08/2023 20:13

@LucyLoopyLu glad you have got a referral, hopefully it won’t be a long wait for you 🤞🏼

@krissy12 glad your scan went well 😁

@DesertSnow how are you getting on? Have you had any signs of labour yet?

I’ve had a scan today to check my placenta and growth; all went well, baby is still on the 50th centile and my placenta has moved out the way too!

krissy12 · 02/08/2023 20:17

@Houseelf90 that's great your scan went well and your placenta has moved

LucyLoopyLu · 02/08/2023 21:22

@krissy12 brilliant news! So pleased for you. When will your next scan be?

LucyLoopyLu · 02/08/2023 21:23

@Houseelf90 aw, this is lovely news too. Glad you're doing well and the placenta has moved too! It's been a good day for scans on the group 😂 I bet that is a weight off your mind

krissy12 · 02/08/2023 22:11

@LucyLoopyLu thank you I dont have another scan now until my 12 week scan unless I have any issues they said they would see me again but I might book a private scan in a couple of weeks I'll see my dating scan just feels a long way away.
I forgot to ask how long I'm meant to be on progesterone for aswell I'm guessing it's until about 12 weeks but might need to phone them up about that

Houseelf90 · 02/08/2023 22:55

Thank you @LucyLoopyLu and @krissy12

@krissy12 I had a private scan at 7+5 and it feels like such a long wait till the 12 week scan, but I found once you get that done the weeks go so quickly!! They seem to be flying by at the minute!

LucyLoopyLu · 04/08/2023 15:34

CD1 for me today and I'm out for this cycle as my husband is going to be away for my whole fertile window.

I might take a little break.

The disappointment hit me hard this time. Apparently booking the holiday made no difference!

SarahShorty · 04/08/2023 20:49

@LucyLoopyLu I'm so sorry 😢

BritishDesiGirl · 04/08/2023 21:45

@DesertSnow wishing you all the best.

7 weeks for me to go now, finally almost packed hospital bag.

Houseelf90 · 04/08/2023 21:57

@LucyLoopyLu I’m so sorry 😥

@BritishDesiGirl we must be due very close to each other, I’ll be 33 weeks on Monday!
