Finally realised that our previous thread was full 🤣 I hope no one minds me starting up a new one!

Can you believe it's been almost a year since this was all started up?!

@ yes me too!! I'm due 24th September

Houseelf90 · 04/08/2023 22:39

@BritishDesiGirl ahh no way I’m 25th Sept!! Not sure how I’ve not noticed that before now 🙈

Welshgal85 · 05/08/2023 00:07

Sorry to hear that @LucyLoopyLu look after yourself ❤️

Im not sure where I am in my cycle after the chemical. I should have probably done OPKs this month but didn’t so not sure where I am in fertile window. We DTD a few times in usual fertile window so we shall see.

I think I may have ovulated a few days ago but have had stomach cramps this evening. I’m hyper aware of things after last month and wondering what every little ache and twinge is.

Wish I could be more relaxed about things like DP. I feel like ttc is on my mind all the time but he doesn’t worry about it! I’m getting a little frustrated if I feel we haven’t DTD enough but don’t want to make him feel bad…

DesertSnow · 05/08/2023 22:29

@krissy12 Glad to hear it went well. Hope the wait till the dating scan passes quickly for you.

@Houseelf90 Every night it feels like my body is gearing up for labour but it never turns into anything! Last few nights I've been getting progressively more intense Braxton Hicks so I think my body is getting ready... but not convinced it will do it before the c-section deadline on Tuesday. Thanks for asking after me :) Excellent news that your placenta has moved out of the way.

Really sorry to hear you're out @LucyLoopyLu, I hope you are being gentle with yourself.

@Welshgal85 It's definitely harder for us not to think about it constantly, watching out for all the little signs in our bodies. I used to get jealous when DH was so relaxed about it and it was all-consuming for me.

Houseelf90 · 05/08/2023 22:57

@DesertSnow fingers crossed you get something before Tuesday, but if not I hope all goes well and I can’t wait to hear once baby is here safely 💕

@Welshgal85 I was exactly the same, it used to completely consume me, I would be thinking about it 24/7, checking dates, reading threads on here and generally thinking or worrying about it. It never really changed once I got pregnant and I just switched to worrying about that constantly, again checking threads on here, reading info online etc. It really frustrates me sometimes that my partner isn’t the same - sometimes I think he’s not that excited but I think because they’re not the one that’s pregnant or going to be, it’s not on their mind as much. When he does talk about it he seems to be happy/excited.
Regarding your cycle, after my 2nd chemical we DTD in my normal fertile window, treating the bleeding as a normal period and I got pregnant, so fingers crossed you’ve covered the right days 😊

HeathenPlayingHouse · 08/08/2023 17:59

I'm so sorry @LucyLoopyLu, take care of yourself lovely ❤️

CD24 and I feel like my body is a failure that has no intention of ever ovulating again. I'm giving up on this cycle so I started a round of Provera, hopefully AF might show up before CD45.

The fertility doctor mentioned doing Day 21 bloods to check how things are going, but I haven't managed to record an ovulatory pattern in over 6 months. I'm just feeling disheartened, and turning 38 in 2 weeks just makes me worry that time is running out.

krissy12 · 08/08/2023 22:02

@HeathenPlayingHouse I'm sorry your struggling
I don't know your full background but I have long irregular cycles and when I have got pregnant before I have ovulated on day 30 something and day 40 something I have also never had a positive opk ever despite regular testing at one point so I used to think I wasn't ovulating aswell but I must have been
sorry if this isn't helpful

HeathenPlayingHouse · 09/08/2023 08:02

@krissy12 No it is thankful, thank you ❤️

I'm just feeling frustrated because both times I've gotten pregnant, it was from ovulating on CD15. Now I don't know what my body is doing.

krissy12 · 09/08/2023 20:03

@HeathenPlayingHouse I get your frustration
before getting pregnant this time when I didn't know what was going on either I was looking into getting the conceive plus ovulation support vitamins they have good reviews including some threads on mumsnet

Hi all, hope you're doing ok. Wanted to share that baby Luna arrived last Sunday 6th August. She was born in the pool at 16.33 using just gas and air 2 days ahead of the section date. Labour was traumatically speedy - pushing stage was 3 mins and had her 1 hr 30 after arriving in hospital with no time for other pain relief - and she was born unresponsive so they had to pull emergency buzzer and 10 medical staff rushed in and she was taken from me. She was born 3rd centile and the placenta has been assessed as really not great - very small and extremely calcified. They said she should have come out earlier and we're lucky she is ok. She has positional talipedes/edge of club foot but otherwise no abnormalities.

I've only had a couple of hours sleep since her birth and am struggling with anxiety around her and coming to terms with the birth, but she is incredible and I'm besotted. Sending love and baby dust to all.

krissy12 · 12/08/2023 11:08

@DesertSnow massive congratulations Luna is gorgeous

you can also request a birth debrief at the hospital if you feel this is something that may help you

Houseelf90 · 12/08/2023 14:20

Congratulations @DesertSnow, Luna is beautiful 😍

Congratulations @DesertSnow! She's beautiful 💗

BritishDesiGirl · 15/08/2023 16:17

@DesertSnow

Absolutely beautiful ❤️

DesertSnow · 16/08/2023 11:56

Thanks all!

@krissy12 I might look into a debrief. Something about the birth or being a parent has prompted a really vicious level of anxiety in me.

krissy12 · 16/08/2023 15:01

@DesertSnow the first few months are the worst with anxiety have you seen your health visitor yet?

you might automatically be offered one anyway I had a very fast labour but had to go to theatre afterwards and a consultant phoned me a couple of months after to go through things it was meant to be face to face but because of covid was over the phone

PinkButtercups · 21/08/2023 14:55

I wondered about a debrief for my boy twins NICU stay/admittance but wondered how I'd go about it and if I left it too long for a debrief of the NICU admittance now.
Who do you even contact? It was all very traumatic and it was just a blur.

BritishDesiGirl · 21/08/2023 15:10

4 weeks and 6 days to go!!

krissy12 · 21/08/2023 19:31

@PinkButtercups I'm sure it wouldn't be too late could you try to find out the name of the lead nurse and email them to point you in the right direction

Dreamingof3 · 23/08/2023 10:52

Congratulations @DesertSnow she's absolutely beautiful ❤️ I'm sorry you've had such a rough time, definitely reach out to your midwife/health visitor about it x

@LucyLoopyLu I'm sorry you're still struggling 💔 did you manage to get any info on the waiting times at all?

Calla was 5 months old on Sunday 😭 can't believe how fast the time has gone. She's definitely my most chill baby, although the 4/5 month clinginess has started....just riding it out as I know I'll never get these snuggles back!

We get married on Saturday 😵‍💫 feeling super stressed haha. Hate the thought of everyone looking at me 😬

@Dreamingof3 She's so beautiful 💗

Hope everyone is doing ok, I'm on CD42.

Finished a round of Provera on Sunday just gone, so now I'm not so patiently waiting for AF to show her face. I'm debating whether or not to try the last round of expired Clomid I've got in the cupboard, but it depends on when AF turns up- I go away for a hen weekend in the middle of September, so it may not be enough time.

I'm doing ok, I guess. Feeling a bit down, but not much to be done about that. Just got to keep trying.

krissy12 · 27/08/2023 08:24

,@Dreamingof3 congratulations on your wedding how exciting !

@HeathenPlayingHouse sorry to hear you're feeling down ttc is the worst hoping its your time soon

how is everyone else doing?
