Hope everyone’s doing ok?

I got my peak yesterday afternoon so today I think is O day, CD14 which is almost bang on time for me.

However, we only dtd once on cd11 as I decided I needed a break from all the counting down to test and dpo etc as it was putting me in an awful headspace.
I don’t expect to get a bfp from that so I can forget about this tww and just focus on actual real life.

AF will be due cd27 so will test on cd28 if af isn’t here by then, no doubt I’ll keep an eye out for pms hunger and acne which reliably arrives by cd23 when I’m not pregnant.

Just catching up, sorry to see some new names, not a great place to be, but this group is very supportive. Looks like a lot of you in are in the tww, fingers crossed for a few bfps. I’m 12dpo and negative test today, so i expect af will grace me with her presence in the morning.

@bringmearainbow it was a rough day…. Drank way too much wine last night to drown it all out 🤣🙃 ….. now 5dpo I think so let’s see what the next week brings!! Trying not to put too much pressure but obviously inpossible…. If its not this month I have a week in cape verde all inclusive so will at least be able to drink alll the cocktails🤣💕. How are you getting on xxxx

@LMM91x omg I'm so jealous I want to go to Cape Verde 😭😂 hope your head isn't sore 😳 we went away last weekend and I did two days of drinking on the third day I was like nope I just can't 😂 I'm all good got nothing exciting to report other than sore boobs but I always get that pre af so pretty useless symptom 🙄😂 I've just launched a little side business that I've revamped from what I was doing last year so that's been keeping me extra busy in this tww which I really needed to take my mind off waiting 💪🏼

@LMM91x forgot to say it's def impossible not to put a lot of pressure on it being positive and I think the first cycle is the worst for it but just remember it's ok and you might get a nice surprise you gotta be kind to yourself and feel all the emotions you need to xxx

@bringmearainbow thanks, but af has arrived right on time, I only have a 12 day luteal phase. Sounds like you have some promising signs 🤞🏻

@bringmearainbow after me saying that we did manage to squeeze a bd in last night, although it was for fun rather than with the intention of actual bd, so guess I will actually be counting down after all. 1dpo today 🤦‍♀️

@bringmearainbow morning!!! I have absolutely nothing other than some cramps…. Like you I notmally have sore boobs in the run up to AF , normally around a week before I guess? I normally only get to 11 or 12 dpo before she makes an appearance so I’m assuming i’m due next weekend but this will be first sonce MC so who bloody knows. 6dpo today…. Its now or never little egg lets implant! 🤣

i wish I’d made a better note when I was pg re symptoms in the tww, but I think I was iat the stage of ignoring them all cos they were all so similar to AF … I am cramping a bit so there might be something trying to happen down there… 🤞🤞🤞

i stupidly did a pg test yesterday because I just wanted to confirm was still testing negative really so I’d know that a positive was ‘new’ …. It was negative in 5 mins but went back to it hours later and there was a line… so i think I have some hcg still left which means I may not hage even ovulated🤣 we will seee. Hopefully no retained product that requires surgery :(

@LMM91x what test did you do? That sounds more like an evap! You can still ovulate with a little hcg in your system. I ovulated end of dec then AF showed and I ended up passing a big bit of retained product 🙄 I was getting faint lines on frer until I passed that lump then they were stark white.

Ahhh I wish that sometimes but I've had 3 pregnancies and the symptoms have all been different 🙄 so I've woken up with dry mouth the past 2 mornings which is def not usual for me and I had that in my second pregnancy yesterday I had some pinching twinges all in the same spot other than that my symptoms are all pretty normal ones for me in the lp. I'm trying not to read too much into it but it's hard not to wonder about everything. My Lp is 11/12 days too I'm testing on Thursday 🫣

@LMM91x my pregancy tests took ages to go negative, my easy@home was still slightly positive until the day my first period arrived😑 saying about sore boobs I used to get them every month before AF, but after the mc they didn’t come back until the month I was pregnant again!

@ChloeN hiyaaaaa!❤️ yeah it’s a weird one isn’t it. I’m pretending to be cool calm and collected now 🤣 and im not doing ANY tests this week, will just see where we are next weekend as a faint positive would probably get my hopes up when actually it could be leftover… if I wait To when it should be stronger I might protect myself a bit !!! We will see.

@bringmearainbow it was an easy at home !! Really odd. But am not going to do it again as per above🤣 eeeeek so excited for you to test thirsday… hopefully the symptoms continue❤️. I have an awful sore throat last two days so I think I’m coming down with something :(

Hello all. Nice to see some familiar names so though check back in 😊 I am TTC my second child. I have had two losses in the last six months. Currently in my 2ww about 11dpo and haven't tested yet. So proud of myself ha. I will test on Thursday if AF hasn't come by then. I am writing that down to remind myself 😂 how is everyone doing who is in 2ww?

@tulipsunday I am sooo impressed with that self control - you are my inspiration! I’m 6dpo so a bit behind nothingn to report other than headache and cramps… the headache could be because I had my first wine on Friday in about 3 months🤣 how are you! Symptom spotting???

Yep can't stop the symptom spotting 😂 feeling crampy so think AF may come soon. Boobs a touch tender but not much. How are you feeling? My initial cycles post miscarriage tend to be short so feel this may be going that way.

I found out super early with my last pregnancy and think that made the loss harder so trying to protect myself a bit. Just don't think I could deal with a chemical pregnancy.

Totally agree re chemical , would just be too much of an emotional toll. My cycles anyway are 26/27 days so hoping they don’t get even shorter than that!

@LMM91x I reckon the line was prob just an evap then but good idea with the testing to wait until there would be an undeniable line. Oh no I was feeling rubbish a couple of weeks ago there's so much about atm 🙄 I still haven't got rid of my snotty bungee up nose

@bringmearainbow good luck! Just been thinking my stomach cramps could be the iron tablets I have recently been prescribed. Is anybody else taking separate iron tablets?

@LMM91x I obsessively took them desperate for it to go but really just made me feel worse so best not to test really!

@tulipsunday no not taking iron not sure where are the cramps? If higher up could be those as then would be more stomach area 🤔

@ChloeN I mean I've never had much control when it comes to testing so I'll prob be here on Tuesday and like I caved and it's bfn 😂

@tulipsunday I take iron once a day and it doesn't cause me to cramp but I've been prescribed it since April so perhaps I've got used to it? It can cause constipation so I guess it could.

@bringmearainbow you're exactly 2 weeks behind me - I tested with a cheapie on the Thursday and had a shadow of a line which showed a faint proper line on a frer. Fingers crossed you're the same!

Am 4+6 by ov dates and I'm just tired and anxious. GAU have booked me in for a scan on the 20/2 when I'll be 7 weeks which just feels a lifetime away. Pregnancy after loss is almost as shite as TTC after loss 🙄 it's hard to keep in mind that although I've lost 2, I've also had 2 so although my brain is telling me it's inevitable I'll lose this one it's just me trying to prepare myself. Im trying to find peace in the little things, but I know im going to really struggle in the 2nd trimester unless the team can somehow reassure me whatever happened won't happen again. How will they though, they don't know what happened 😭

Hope it's okay to join the thread. I had my first miscarriage back in June last year - not that it matters how many miscarriages I've had as I know it's not easy regardless.

Today I tested after four days of my period being a no show. I did three tests - a HCG strip - both lines were bold after a minute and a half. I did a normal Clearblue test which came back positive and a Clearblue digital which showed 2-3 weeks.

I can't help be paranoid that this is the same as last time as pregnancy didn't progress beyond five weeks (which is where I am now) and the tests showed I was pregnant just as quickly.

I've no symptoms hardly apart from the odd flare up of nausea and heartburn. I'm not bleeding but I swear I can smell blood when I go to the toilet.

What is my next step now? Do I book a GP appointment? Wait? I'm not sure.

@MrsC2018 ahhh let's hope so 🤞🏼 tbh I feel like it will be negative don't know why just don't think it's going to be positive. I have this horrible feeling we're going to fall in March and it will be the same dates as the first one I lost I can't seem to shake that feeling. Oh lovely big hugs so hard but like you say you've had 2 so you can do it I think you just have to take each day at a time. I would def speak to them about what they might be able to offer you in the 2nd trimester although they don't know why some extra reassurance and monitoring along the way won't hurt ❤️

@Phoenixwings1989 firstly congrats ❤️ I think you could try ringing the EPU and explain that your feeling anxious etc they might be able to offer you some reassurance with blood tests and eventually an early scan. I'm not sure if they will do it after one but I know they told me after my second mc they would monitor me as soon as I got a new positive

@bringmearainbow maybe you'll fall in March, but to be honest you'll probably find significance in any dates whenever you fall pregnant again, I know I do. I think it's natural and comforting even. Have you any plans to distract yourself from TTC thoughts this week?

@Phoenixwings1989 congratulations 🎉 that anxiety is so tough, I have no answers and there's just no way of knowing whether everything will be ok except that statistically it's more likely that a positive pregnancy test will turn into a baby and you've already had the alternative result so you should be fine this time. It depends on your area but most are self referral to midwives, I'm 5 weeks tomorrow and did mine last Wednesday. As @bringmearainbow said, put on the form that your anxious due to previous loss so they know and can arrange extra monitoring if you need it
