Hey all

I thought it would be nice for us to have a thread to discuss symptom spotting, early symptoms and early test pictures (if you are someone who likes to test early)

I am currently 5 DPO, TTC Baby #1 with my amazing partner after a miscarriage back in March.

I'm going out for some drinks on Thursday and will be 8DPO - I obviously won't drink if there's any sign or symptom that I may have conceived so I'd like somewhere to discuss any potential symptoms and everyone else's experience.

I had some bleeding early on @ElleBelleLou and it was just an implantation bleeding which took a while to make its way out, could even see it on a scan! Fingers crossed it’s nothing to worry about Xxx

Trying to work out how many DPO I'm likely to be right now...

I'm on CD21 and here's a run down of this month's (hopefully) fertile window. Had my digital opk static smiley on CD13 but positive strip opk didn't appear until CD15.

Any guesses welcome because my head is fuzzy looking at all this!

Sun CD 9 (digital opk circle) DTD

Mon CD 10 (digital opk circle) DTD

Tues CD 11 (digital opk flashing smiley am&pm) DTD around midnight (so technically CD12)

Weds CD 12 (flashing smiley am)

Thur CD 13 (static smiley am, negative strip opk am and pm) DTD around midnight (so technically CD14)

Fri CD 14 (negative strip opk pm) DTD around midnight (so technically CD15)

Sat CD 15 (positive strip OPK am and pm)

Sun CD 16 (positive strip OPK am and pm)

Mon CD 17 (static smiley am, negative strip OPK am and pm)

Tue CD 18 (negative strip am and pm)

Should have added we DTD Mon and Tues too.

So to recap my oversharing (sorry!) succinctly:

A positive digital CD 13, a positive strip CD 15 and we DTD CD 9, 10, 11, 13, 14, 17, 18.

Still feel like the days might have been wrong even though I know logically that DTD every other day in the fertile window is apparently usually enough of a chance.

Not much more we could have done bar swinging from the chandeliers in front of family at Christmas...!

@monsteramunch my understanding is you can expect to ovulate around 12-24hrs after your LH surge which is what dictates a positive OPK. Therefore I would be guessing you’ll have ovulated around CD 17/18 making you 4DPO??

Sadly I’m out again, had brown spotting yesterday, this opening after our New Year’s Day walk I’ve come home to bright red blood when wiping.
This will be second mc in a row 😢😢 beyond devastated and too early to be seen by EPU

@BakedBean2016 I’m sorry to hear this 😢 I know first hand that there’s nothing anyone can say that makes it better. Rest up and keep your hopes up for future cycles. Your time will come x

I am nearing the end of my TWW... AF is due in 3 days and my god, my boobs are so effing sore! I usually get sore boobs with pms, but this is much worse and more centred around my nipples, which also look a bit darker and puffier than usual - is this a sign!?

I'm also more tired than usual, but again this could be a mix of.xmas week and pms!

@peaky297 dark and puffy nipples was a symptom for me with DC1

I didn't test for ovulation, but from my dates / EWCM I think I'm about 8dpo today... probably need to wait until at least 10dpo for a reasonable shout?

If you have any FRER or other early detection I would 1000% be testing. You’re a better person than me 🤣

8dpo tomorrow and I know the first thing I will want to do is test. Setting myself up for the BFN 🙈

I'm on CD2 and counting down until I can test 😂

😆 I learned the hard way last month - probably went through about 50 quids worth of tests 🙈
I am constantly tempted though, so I totally know where you are both coming from!

I’ve bought some cheapies and will just use those until much later or until / if I see any faint lines

Hello may I please join? Really loving this thread, read the entire thing and the amazing support going is commendable. Usually you're made to feel slightly bad for testing early but you ladies full embrace it! I'm ttc#1 cycle 8 dpo 8. Tested today and it was a bfn. I never usually test as I have no reason to but this cycle I got intense ovulation cramping and my boobs are mildly sore. I'm cheering you all on, fingers crossed 2023 is our year 🤞🏽

I went through 26+ IC tests the few days before AF showed this cycle 😂🙊

Hello all! Loving seeing more new people on this thread - feels like home to me 🥰

Today is the day AF is due but my positive tests are still going strong. Been feeling crampy and having bleeding here and there but nothing heavy - the worst thing at the minute is constant nausea I literally can't eat until 6pm earliest or it wants to come straight back out I don't know how to cope with it!

@ElleBelleLou so pleased for your positive tests, I’m sadly out having had bleeding all day yesterday…. Will give it a few days to confirm with a test, my only symptom was sensitive nipples which has almost disappeared now and I had back ache throughout which has eased.
Still very upset about it but we won’t stop trying

Hello! I’ve just read this entire thread and it’s made me so happy to see the BFPs and the support you’ve given to each other.

I have 2 children and we’re trying for number 3. First month trying, I fell easily first time with my 2 but that was 8 years ago and 4 years ago so I’m aware age isn’t so much on either of our sides.

I track my periods though Flo but it’s all a bit of a minefield to me still. We’ve been having unprotected sex since my period ended (started period Christmas Day - JOY! 😂 and ended on 28th) the app says my fertile days are 31st-6th. My periods do come near enough the same time each month but Flo says my cycle is average 23 days.

Ive always been a super keen tester, so look forward to seeing how this goes 🤗✨
