Hey all

I thought it would be nice for us to have a thread to discuss symptom spotting, early symptoms and early test pictures (if you are someone who likes to test early)

I am currently 5 DPO, TTC Baby #1 with my amazing partner after a miscarriage back in March.

I'm going out for some drinks on Thursday and will be 8DPO - I obviously won't drink if there's any sign or symptom that I may have conceived so I'd like somewhere to discuss any potential symptoms and everyone else's experience.

Hi all, sending you all lots of positive vibes for BFP’s soon.
my cycle length is 24-26 days, I miscarried in July at 7 weeks, I’m 39 so time very much against me.
yesterday was cycle day 23 and had blood but only when I wiped, nothing else all day or on a pad. This morning I have my usual lower back cramps but nothing on the pad or when I wiped
I’ve been tracking ovulation but losing hope now. I won’t be entitled to IVF due to my age but how do you try and stay positive?

I'm very new to ttc, this is my first cycle, but I have already found that being a part of mums net really does help. Just having somewhere to talk about the journey we're all going through and hearing others stories helps a lot in keeping positive.
We aren't telling friends or family that we are ttc because we didn't want the added pressure and without mum's net I think I would find it a much more stressful and lonely journey.

I cracked today at did a test. Only 8dpo and was bfn of course. The spotting seems to have stopped. Af due in 5 days.

So AF didn't come yesterday when I was due on, and hasn't come yet today. Did a CB test with FMU this morning and BFN. So confused, as normally a couple days before AF I get cramps, but absolutely nothing! Also still feeling really dizzy and nauseous but I am on antibiotics at the moment so don't know whether its side effects of those, or PMS or possible pregnancy.

This wait for AF is horrible!

I'm out girls. BFN for the last two mornings so that bfp must have been a fluke or a dodgy test. Serves me right for testing so early.

Af is due after the weekend so I'm just going to chill and crack on next cycle

@BakedBean2016 welcome! it can be so so hard to stay positive but I agree, mumsnet has been the biggest support for me - makes me feel less alone cycle after cycle whilst everyone around me gets pregnant!

I did, and it’s darker 🥹 still not dark enough for a digital weeks one though!

@thelma57 I'm 9DPO today so definitely still early!

So 10DPO today and I feel like there’s almost a squinted? This is me at the point now fully fully overthinking and scrutinising everything 🤦🏻‍♀️ I couldn’t get it in a picture but when I’ve messed around with the brightness I feel like you can see where I mean?

I had another dream last night I was pregnant so if this isn’t my cycle my dreams have been quite harsh to me!

Morning @ElleBelleLou ! I can maybe see something, and it wasn’t there on the earlier test you shared. My cheap strips are still faint compared to my frer at 12 DPO so maybe see if you can try a frer tomorrow morning?

I had a really vivid dream last week about testing positive too, and that was before I’d done any tests! I believe the old wives tales about things like that!

Im 10 dpo caved in and test and it was a BFN 😞

I had a positive test 2 days ago, been testing since to see if lines still there and not fading etc.
I have suspected pcos so my cycles are very irregular and I very often skip a cycle.

But as for symptoms, I've had none! Tiny bit of nausea but I'm putting that down to being so worried about this pregnancy

That's not that faint! A strong line for 9DPO I reckon

I can absolutely see it @ScarletDreams ! That’s an amazing line on a cheapie so early, and in the middle of the day! My cheapies at 12 DPO aren’t even that dark yet! 💕

@monsteramunch @thelma57 I'm in shock, I did the test thinking I'd see nothing given the time . I've done another 2 and they look the same 🙈

Caved and did a 12DPO test. BFN.

Sick of seeing that empty white fucking space instead of a second line.

Really not coping with all this now.

Terrified it won't happen.

@monsteramunch I'm feeling the same as you this cycle! But remember you're not out until AF arrives. It is so disheartening though - how many cycles of trying is this for you? Sorry if you've already said. Sending a handhold

Been trying nearly a year but I'd say only 6 months of 'proper' ovulation tracking.

I'm really struggling with the idea that it might not happen.

I'm adopted and my parents tried with no luck for almost ten years before getting me so I think the possibility of it not happening feels more real than to other people.

I wish so much that I could somehow know it would happen at some point and then I wouldn't care how long it took!

The not knowing is really affecting me now.

We are having tests done in the next few months to check us. Sperm test for him and blood tests for me on CD 3 and 7 days before end of cycle. Will be able to do that this month (assuming does AF arrive) or next.

I so wish I had met my partner earlier so age was less of a worry. But I also know it was important to me to wait for someone who would be a great dad.

Shouldn't have taken a test today, it's done me in.

@ElleBelleLou Yep I have done another this morning. It's still faint but it is still there. I think it has a pink tinge to it so fingers crossed in gets darker over the next few days. I'm not letting myself get too excited yet, as I'm aware anything can happen over the next few days, but I'm quietly celebrating 🙈
