I know there was a thread where ladies tracked their rhr about a year ago and wanted to start it back up again as i’m tracking my resting heart rate! at about 7dpo today and it’s been rising for me! anyone else tracking rhr for bfp?

@Annapolis35 ah yes that could be a reason! I think as long you’re dtd every other day you’re covered :)
I’ve taken my fitbit off for a bit i think i need a break for this cycle but i’m going to use OPKS to track :) I hope you have a lovely relaxing time on your holiday! goodness knows you deserve it ! 💖💖💖

Good plan @winterspinach i think a break is a good idea and means you can fully relax without thinking about it constantly! I think I’m gonna take mine off too over the holiday. Flying this afternoon so quite excited and all ready now to go. I hope you also have a really relaxed couple of weeks ahead

RainbowSearching · 03/11/2022 08:13

Just a little update - my RHR has indeed risen back up and I’ve tentatively got my BFP on internet cheapies. AF isn’t due until Friday/Saturday so I’m going to do a FRER on Saturday to hopefully confirm 🤞🏻 Praying for a sticky after 3 miscarriages in 12 months 🙏🏻

Praying for you too

I'm almost in the same boat, got a BFP on cheapie test and due between today and Saturday.

So sorry about your miscarriages, this is my first ever BFP!!

I think I'll test properly on Saturday too

My RHR has not necessarily been increasing but has stayed at a high ish level.. increased by one today though

Hi ladies and congratulations on BFPs!

I am back from Thailand and struggling with jet lag (went to bed at 5pm last night haha) but had the most wonderful time, it’s an amazing place and I want to go back already. Think I ovulated perhaps Monday or Tuesday and we dtd a lot on holiday but was nice to be relaxed about it. So guessing I’m 2 or 3dpo but who knows. We will continue dtd I think every other day. How have you been @winterspinach? I hope well! I’ve had my Fitbit on just for sleeping really as didn’t wear it during the day when swimming etc and it’s been odd so not thinking much about it.

Annapolis35 · 15/11/2022 05:35

Hi all. My rhr has been so weird this month, I’ve marked up when AF was. It just keeps going in peaks and troughs all month and it’s weird, I’m not sure when I ovulated (I think probably about a week ago). Does this happen to anyone else?

@Annapolis35 lots of things can affect RHR not just our cycles which is why doctors don’t use it as a way to confirm anything. If you do more exercise your HR will drop and if you do less it will go up. If your body needs rest it will go up and so on so it is normal to go up and down a bit some months.

Annapolis35 · 15/11/2022 08:19

Thanks @allgoodthings84 I do know all these things! It’s just unusual, suspect I may be getting unwell as my rhr has been dropping crazily low to 38 and 40 while I’ve been sat on the sofa. I don’t feel dizzy or anything, just normal while it’s happening and only noticed after when I sync my Fitbit hours later. Who knows.

winterspinach · 18/11/2022 16:23

hey @Annapolis35 i hope you had a lovely holiday!!!! sorry i’ve been MIA, a few family emergencies popped up and i wasn’t really able to focus on ttc much this month and i haven’t been wearing my fitbit either haha. I think i’m 8/9dpo today
how has it been going for you? xxx

Ah no I’m sorry to hear that @winterspinach i hope everything is ok and you get some time to rest. I’m good!! Loved Thailand so much and just bummed to be back. It’s been raining constantly too. At least there’s Christmas to look forward to and all the nice things that brings. Not much going on with me TTC wise as my period showed up 5 days early - ah well! At first I thought it might be implantation bleeding but it quickly turned into a proper AF so there’s no doubt about it. Onto the next cycle with positivity! Xx

winterspinach · 01/12/2022 18:02

@Annapolis35 hey! thank you so much, things are a lot better now. sorry to hear your af came five days early, that’s quite a jump! I hope you’re getting on well💗💗
my af came right on the dot as per usual so on a new cycle right now and i think i’m due to ovulate on the 8th! Been working out a lot more to decrease stress and I think it has helped :)

Annapolis35 · 01/12/2022 19:12

@winterspinach hello! I am glad things are better for you. I’m in the fertile period at the mo, just dtd every other day. Will probs ovulate in a day or two and going for a progesterone test next week to check everything is ok. But otherwise I’m all good, trying to forget about ttc and looking forward to Christmas now and time off. Hope you’re doing well too

winterspinach · 07/12/2022 13:48

@Annapolis35 im doing well thanks! things have finally settled now so i’m back to ttc mode :)
how did the progesterone check go? i had one awhile ago as part of my blood test
I think i’m ovulating today, i bought this new sticks on amazon and basically it gives you a window of when you’re going to ovulate, tells you if it’s in the next 12 or six hours. I took one this morning which I think means i’m ovulating in 6 hours! they’re called accutest. i’m also trying the pineapple core thing after O day and drinking red raspberry leaf tea to strengthen uterus :)
T4 means it’s happening in 6 hours, so going to catch my husband before he goes off to football tonight 😂

Hi @winterspinach I’m glad things are back to normal. Wow those tests sound very impressive! Never even heard of them. The progesterone test is on Sunday so guess I’ll find out next week sometime, it’s better to know if something’s wrong either way. Oooh pineapple core! I do really like pineapple too haha. I didn’t know about the tea either. I hope your oh is receptive haha

I am officially in the 2ww now on about 4dpo. I’ve not been thinking about it too much as our house is supposed to have sold this week and hasn’t and that’s been really stressful… I just want it to end! I don’t think the stress is helping much at all

winterspinach · 08/12/2022 21:19

@Annapolis35 i was looking for some tests that could come quickly and these were the only ones available. i’m so impressed because i felt my ovulation pains on my left side and my rhr shot up today! we dtd on time so fingers crossed

at this point i’ll try anything haha, all the old wives tales, hand them over!

Glad you’re taking it easy, hopefully there’s a little bean getting ready to stick for you!!

I hope everything with the house goes smoothly, nothing to induce a bit of stress like selling or buying a house 😭 try keeping your stress levels as low as poss, sometimes things don’t go to plan because you’re being saved from it! are you moving to a new place? x

@winterspinach well there’s the old wives tale of cold feet and cold womb! Haha. It’s so cold at the mo too. We had a bit of snow up here yesterday but it didn’t settle. Just very very icy now! I get very anxious about driving in it as we live down a little lane that the council doesn’t grit.

Yeah I’m trying to reduce the stress, it’s out of my control at the moment and trying to just come to terms with not knowing when it’ll happen. My husband said to look at it like a Christmas present when it arrives so I’m trying to do that. I feel better today and slept well for first time in a while so that’s good. We aren’t moving as we moved into rented a few months ago due to family stuff and to be nearer to them, and we are going to buy again next year sometime.

your rhr looks good. That’s amazing it shot up after feeling the pains. I think I’m 6dpo and I basically feel the same as normal, I’m trying to ignore my rhr at the mo - until my period is due I think. Because I’ve got my hopes up so many months so just trying to rationalize it a bit. When are you due on? My AF is due next Thursday but if it arrives it’s ok, we have a lot to look forward to over Christmas so I am just being positive about life outside ttc

2021lady · 11/12/2022 07:46

I'm currently 6dpo and this is mine
Not sure what any of it means
It's never usually this high tho
Any ideas?

Annapolis35 · 11/12/2022 09:27

Hi @2021lady it could be a good sign. 6dpo is still quite early as implantation is only likely to occur between 6-12dpo so keep an eye over the next week to see.

Annapolis35 · 14/12/2022 07:21

Looks like my AF has just turned up now, so on to another one. My rhr is still high though - a weird one this month. About 11/12 dpo, probably 12 I think.

winterspinach · 17/12/2022 18:04

@Annapolis35 sorry to hear that, it looks like you had a nice peak as well, but a new year around the corner brings some new hope too, there’s so much to look forward to in the next few weeks :)

Im 10dpo today and my rhr has just been going up and down from 71-73. today it’s 73 and i actually had some spotting which is bizarre, as that never happens at this point in my cycle ://

OP posts:
Annapolis35 · 17/12/2022 19:28

Hey @winterspinach I am now cd 3 and felt fine about AF this month - no point getting down about it. Indeed, new year and some new luck!

oooh spotting, that’s a good sign! I have my fingers crossed for you - let us know how it goes!!

winterspinach · 18/12/2022 10:46

@Annapolis35 I’m glad you’re being so positive, it makes the process so much easier!

strangely enough my rhr shot up today by two beats, that’s the highest it’s been this cycle. i’m 11dpo and due on wednesday so fingers crossed. I do have some cheapies coming today so I’ll try and test when they arrive :)

@winterspinach That’s very exciting! Let me know, I’ve got my fingers crossed for you. I think I’m gonna have to take the next month off as I’ve got treatment on my cervix next Friday and think I’ll have to refrain from ttc for 4 weeks due to infection risk but I’ll see what they tell me. It’s probably a good thing for me to have the mental break for a month to rest my mind as I do get a bit anxious by it all so can come back refreshed in February. Btw my progesterone test came back as good so no problems ovulating or anything.

winterspinach · 19/12/2022 13:31

@Annapolis35 very glad to hear that about your progesterone, and I hope the cervix treatment goes well, a month of will likely be good for you :)

Looks like it may have been a false alarm because it was BFN last night and this morning and my RHR went down by one beat. It’s okay though, I’m just waiting for af to show her head on weds or thurs now!

OP posts:
Annapolis35 · 19/12/2022 14:11

Sorry to hear that @winterspinach i had high hopes! Ah well, at least now you can have a drink at Christmas. I always feel relieved when AF finally shows after wondering whether it will turn up or not, at least you know where you stand!

the snow is finally starting to thaw here today and we are still waiting about news of the house - it’s all getting tedious and unnecessarily stressful
