I know there was a thread where ladies tracked their rhr about a year ago and wanted to start it back up again as i’m tracking my resting heart rate! at about 7dpo today and it’s been rising for me! anyone else tracking rhr for bfp?

@allgoodthings84 have you taken a test just in case? Mine always drops during AF too and has never not

winterspinach · 21/09/2022 13:22

@allgoodthings84
have you had the same fitbit for five years? do you reckon it might be acting a bit funny with tracking your rhr?
i think if you’ve been feeling a bit unwell then this could deffo have an affect on it being a little odd, hopefully it settles soon!

i ovulated right at the beginning, i circled it :)

@Annapolis35 i can’t be pregnant I had a full on AF with the second day being the worst and heaviest flow I’ve had in my life! It was horrible I was having to sort myself out every 45 mins or so then it went to spotting in the evening/night then next day was normal.

@winterspinach I feel absolutely fine not at all ill but only thing I could think of is maybe I’m going to come down with something soon and it’s been affecting my RHR but it did start to drop just not to where it usually does (not below ovulation levels) and today went back up. It’s not the same Fitbit all 5 years and everything else is working fine on it I’m just trying to think what it could possibly be 🤔. If my RHR isn’t normal in the next couple days I’m buying a new Fitbit as I wear mine 24/7 unless charging/showering so need it working properly

allgoodthings84 · 21/09/2022 13:40

@winterspinach If yours keeps jumping up like that I would say you’re in for some great news as you’ve had a big jump in there. Mine usually goes up like this every cycle but usually a slower increase rather than big jumps

Annapolis35 · 21/09/2022 13:50

Sorry @allgoodthings84 i hadn’t realized. Maybe you are coming down with something and I know rhr can be affected by lack of sleep or stress so that could also explain it. It’s weird how these things happen

winterspinach · 21/09/2022 13:56

@allgoodthings84
hopefully you find out what’s going on with it soon! maybe a new fit bit would be a solution but maybe see how it goes. sometimes our bodies can be so unpredictable even when we know them well.

I really do hope it’s good news, but i’m tempering my excitement for now. i’m 9dpo and itching to test 🫢

@Annapolis35 @winterspinach yep its very strange as I’ve had the exact same pattern for so many years. If it’s coming down with something I would have thought it would have happened already as been weird for a week but can’t think of anything else. If I had only bern tracking for a few months I would put it down as just one of those things but it’s been years of the same pattern. Hopefully it will drop back down tomorrow and keep going down although I am quite liking the idea of a new Fitbit now as the versa 4 is out next week 😂 and it does more!

allgoodthings84 · 21/09/2022 14:02

Never thought I would be wanting it to drop ha ha. I know it needs to drop so it can rise again ready for ovulation. I’ll start taking my opk’s tomorrow on CD7 as I get a peak CD11-CD14

Annapolis35 · 21/09/2022 17:06

@allgoodthings84 Hopefully it will drop and it’s an anomaly or fitbit just being weird!

@winterspinach Im so hopeful for your chart and have fingers crossed this is your month. Glad all your checks and everything have all been fine, it can just take longer for some. I am 35 so a wee bit older but am trying to be hopeful about that. Good things will come for us all

winterspinach · 21/09/2022 20:58

I know this is a bit daft but I used an OPK to see if it’s rising as I’ve seen some ladies say it gets darker if you’re pregnant but it’s sooo light and barely there :/

OP posts:
Annapolis35 · 21/09/2022 21:13

Not daft at all. It doesn’t mean anything as it’s still so early at 9 dpo and may not have implanted yet, keep up the faith

winterspinach · 21/09/2022 21:32

thanks so much @Annapolis35 youre keeping me positive! I’ve ordered some tests that are coming tomorrow before 1pm so i’ll test and update. they’re not frer but another sensitive brand that you can use 6 days before a missed period. tomorrow i’ll be 5 days before a missed period so fingers crossed :)

Sending you lots of baby dust, always stay hopeful, you never know what’s around the corner 💖💖💖

Annapolis35 · 22/09/2022 06:34

Aww glad to hear and let us know about the FRER, exciting! My rhr has dropped again to 71 so I think my AF might come earlier than Saturday, still hoping there as you never know until it turns up

winterspinach · 22/09/2022 07:06

I will do! I think we may be in the same boat rn; my rhr has dipped to 74 which is massive, not feeling so hopeful about this cycle now

Aw no, when is your period due to arrive? I don’t feel as crampy as normal and my boobs aren’t sore anymore, but judging by heart rate it’s definitely on it’s way. I know it’s demoralizing each month and I always get a bit blue when I know my period is about to start. This is my chart, it’s quite a steep drop over the past few days and it’s basically dropped to pre-ovulation levels

winterspinach · 22/09/2022 07:35

@Annapolis35 I’m due on sunday so there’s still a few days left. if it drops any more than this then i definitely know i’m out. you’re due soon too aren’t you? wil you test at all?
it isn’t over till it’s over, not feeling so crampy could be a good sign for you 🤞🏽🤞🏽
i’m sorry it’s dropping for you, we’re in this together 💖

allgoodthings84 · 22/09/2022 07:38

I hope it doesn’t drop anymore for either of you and starts to rise again

Annapolis35 · 22/09/2022 07:55

Thanks @allgoodthings84

I’m due on Saturday and will only test if I’m late, I am not robust enough to see blank tests! Thank you so much ❤️❤️ It really does help to have this group of supportive ladies, my husband is great but don’t think he feels it in the same way though he really does want a baby a lot.

allgoodthings84 · 22/09/2022 08:14

@Annapolis35 I’m the same. I don’t early test either so I haven’t taken one yet. The RHR usually gives it away so I don’t need to see the bfn too.

this page is great as like you say our OH’s want a baby but it’s not the same for them

winterspinach · 22/09/2022 08:27

@allgoodthings84 @Annapolis35
thanks so much ladies, it is really lovely to have such support. It’s same for me, my DH does really want one and is supportive but a woman really understand what another is going through with it all, it’s a totally different experience full of high and many lows!

I wish I had your resistance @Annapolis35 , i see a test and i break it open 😂 no self control! even told myself i wouldn’t test once this cycle.
Hopefully af doesn’t show her face for us 🤞🏽🤞🏽💖

@allgoodthings84 yeah the heart rate is always the biggest give away to me. Thinking back on it, when I did get pregnant in February it stayed elevated but it wasn’t crazy high levels until I got my bfp, it just went up gradually and for five days after ovulation it didn’t really go up, I’ve marked it up below - the line is when I got the bfp. Also April is when I was miscarrying, no wonder I felt bad

allgoodthings84 · 22/09/2022 08:40

@Annapolis35 I think the clue is if it goes up at AF due date rather than how much it jumps then. I’m sorry for your miscarriage.

I’m wondering if I actually had a CP and that’s why it’s taking time for my RHR to drop. I’m CD7 now and it’s still above pre ovulation levels. Still same as yesterday. I did my usual OPK last night and it was 0.25 which is high for me at that stage and I had the heaviest bleed that I’ve ever had. I usually start spotting CD10 (2 days before AF) without fail but I started spotting CD8 so maybe implantation. I’ll never know and prefer not to but it could explain it.

Annapolis35 · 22/09/2022 08:58

@allgoodthings84 yes I think the key is just if it doesn’t drop down when AF is due.

I did wonder whether you had a CP too and I’m the same as you, I’d rather not know. I see it as natures way and could never have become a baby so it seems better not to know and to avoid that heartache. I am sorry that you might have had one though and that you had a heavy bleed.

My periods have been much heavier and last a full 7 days since the miscarriage, it’s horrible. They used to last about 4 days. I think I’ve been pushing through during the periods and being too active but I think this month I’m gonna try and rest as much as possible (might be a sign I’m trying to do too much!). I’ve heard people are more fertile after CPs so it could be a good sign.

allgoodthings84 · 22/09/2022 09:10

@Annapolis35 it would explain all the weird things. Like you say it couldn’t be a viable pregnancy so it’s not the worst thing and would at least mean I’m still fertile. I’m really sorry your periods are much worse since your miscarriage. They are horrible at the best of times ☹️. I definitely think resting would be good for you and your body. I’ve got bloods booked for day 21 to check my hormone levels etc anyway (booked before). It won’t be quite day 21 as my cycles aren’t 28 days and I may need to adjust the date as yet but hopefully get some answers

Annapolis35 · 22/09/2022 10:39

@allgoodthings84 how long have you been trying for? We are nearly at the sixth month mark now past the miscarriage and I’m 35 so will call the gp to get things rolling if no luck next month
