I know there was a thread where ladies tracked their rhr about a year ago and wanted to start it back up again as i’m tracking my resting heart rate! at about 7dpo today and it’s been rising for me! anyone else tracking rhr for bfp?

@allgoodthings84 i am so sorry to see your news. I hope you are as ok as can be and be gentle on yourself, it’s a horrible thing to go through.

winterspinach · 18/10/2022 10:14

@allgoodthings84 I’m so sorry to hear that , that’s never easy to go through. Take care of yourself and I hope you feel well soon. 💖

@Annapolis35
omg i had a metallic taste in my mouth once and turns out it was poor water quality 😂

haha right boobs feels pregnant. I’ve given up on symptom spotting my boobs because they’re always tender mid luteal! they’re getting sore now but since it always happens i’m disregarding it! Funny bc i never used to have it but maybe i did and just wasn’t in tune with my body.

my rhr has gone up 1bpm this morn so a steady rise still. same happened last month though but i have a feeling i had a failed
implantation which is why i’m drinking bucket loads of pom wonderful!

@allgoodthings84 I'm so sorry to hear that. Mind yourself!!

@winterspinach I got a BFP on a FRER this morning. I expected it as, on top of the nausea, my boobs were absolutely killing me by yesterday evening and it's not a normal pre-menstrual symptom for me. Fingers crossed everything goes well now... I'll come back and post my RHR chart over the next few days anyway.

@TrulyMiss congratulations!!! I’m very happy for you. I hope it sticks. I have a very good feeling about this month too.

@winterspinach haha I know, I swear I never got sore boobs before ttc but now get them every month too. Oooh that’s a nice steady rise!! Mine has stabilized at 68 and not gone up, but it looks like my sleeping was higher so might go up. I did not sleep well last night though so may be it.

I think I may test on Sunday if AF doesn’t show on Saturday as it’s Diwali so am celebrating with my family on Sunday and either way would like a drink then haha. I am getting ahead of myself there!

winterspinach · 18/10/2022 22:10

@TrulyMiss congrats!!! hope it’s a sticky one!

@Annapolis35 fingers crossed AF doesn’t show up for you!
I have itchy testing fingers already even though nothing will show up this early. i read a blog post where a lady tested at 6dpo and got a positive and one cycle manages to convince myself the same could happen to me 😂

do you track your CM after ovulation at all?

Hope you have a lovely time with your family on Diwali!!!

@winterspinach 6dpo is so early hahaha. That’s a miracle really she got a positive test then!! My heart rate is still at 68, it hasn’t gone up but nor has it started dropping yet so taking that as a positive.

I do keep an eye on cm in my knickers and on toilet paper. This month it has been mostly dry with big white blobs of cm, which is fairly normal I think. Maybe a bit drier than normal. I did check my cervix for a couple of months but couldn’t really make sense of it. The only constant with that is the day before or day of my period starting, the cervix comes down really low and the texture totally changes—it almost feels right and sort of papery. Maybe TMI!!

thank you! I love Diwali!! When do you think you’ll test? I got my smear test results and have been told I have abnormal cells and HPV so been called for a colposcopy on Friday. I was debating whether I should do a test before the hospital visit, but also feel I should wait for my AF to show or not. It would be 11dpo then hmmmm

winterspinach · 19/10/2022 12:02

@Annapolis35 its a good sign that it’s still staying at the same hr, hopefully it starts to rise! do you ever just check ur fitbit when ur sitting down and relaxing to see what it’s at? i do 😂

Hopefully the cells found aren’t harmful to you, it may be best to test before you go in just so you and the doctor are aware that you’re pregnant, they might adjust how they examine you or something but it’s best to be in the safe side with these things. Let me know how it goes 💖

Im 9dpo in about two days so i’m probably going to test then with some easy at home cheapies. they’re 10miu which is pretty sensitive but won’t hold my breath. with my chemical it was 13dpo i got a positive!

I haven’t ever checked my cervix! it’s interesting to know how it feels though, i’m very squeamish and afraid of like scratching myself or anything haha. I think we’re past anything being too TMI now!

Im usually pretty dry after ovulation with CM but i’ve been feeling a bit wetter than usual but it could be bc i’m drinking more water than usual.

My rhr rose by another bpm today, it’s almost the exact same as last month but it’s rising faster

That’s a nice ride @winterspinach!! Your heart rate is looking great, that’s so steep. Ha ha yea I do occasionally, sometimes my Fitbit thinks I’m asleep when I’m sat on the sofa in the evening which amuses me.

Thanks! Yes I’ll definitely know and will test before, just in case as it’s a bit of invasive procedure and I’m certain they will ask me. And I’d rather do a test at home than in the hospital as if it’s negative I can have a little cry on my own. I’m sure the procedure will all be okay and it’s good they do the screening to keep an eye on things. I never early test though normally

Yeah 9 dpo is early. I didn’t test when I was Preg until 15dpo so I got a positive before the time was up then. I feel really positive for us both this cycle.

Haha yes, I’m not checking my cervix this month as it doesn’t really feel like I should be doing it whenever I did before. I always washed my hands thoroughly and things but I always felt like I might introduce an infection

TrulyMiss · 20/10/2022 07:31

Morning ladies! Am 13 DPO now and have lovely line progression on FRERs but my heart rate has dropped the last two days so I'm really worried it's not going to pan out. Think my symptoms (sore boobs, cramps) are less as well.

Annapolis35 · 20/10/2022 07:46

@TrulyMiss aw no, it doesn’t mean a guaranteed chemical so I’m holding out hope for you, especially as your lines are getting darker. It’s hard not to worry, prior to having a mc in April I took my Fitbit off as it was making me very anxious.

Am 10dpo now and rhr has gone up a little bit. I’m hoping very much! My AF is due on Saturday so have a shorter luteal phase

TrulyMiss · 20/10/2022 07:55

@Annapolis35 Thanks, would be the second chemical in a row 😬 Trying to keep positive.

Yours looks very promising though!! When are you going to test?

Annapolis35 · 20/10/2022 08:02

@TrulyMiss Yes try to keep positive. When I was pregnant I worried so much I would have an mc and didn’t really enjoy the pregnancy because of it. And when the worst happened, it still hurt like hell. So now I think there’s no real point worrying, because if it’s going to happen it will happen and is largely out of your control. So you may as well enjoy the process and if the worst happens you can deal with it if it does. That is easier said that done though and I know how hard it is, especially when you want something so badly, and the hormones don’t help. Anyway that was rambly but I am sending out good wishes to you and please keep us updated.

I am having to test tomorrow as I have a hospital procedure following an abnormal smear test, and think they will ask me anyway. I never normally test early and just wait for my period, and my rhr usually gives it away so don’t really need to test as it’s quite obvious AF is coming

TrulyMiss · 20/10/2022 09:25

@Annapolis35 thank you, that's very kind and I think you're right! If I get through the next few days and still no AF o think I will relax a bit. I have changed up my routine quite a lot - no booze since the weekend, way less caffeine and added meditation to try and help with the anxiety and they can all affect RHR...

I also think it's worth you testing before you go to your appointment and either way I'd definitely mention that you're in the TWW as even if it's negative it won't be definitive that early!

winterspinach · 20/10/2022 10:16

@TrulyMiss as long as you’re having god progression don’t worry! i’ve seen some ladies have their rhr dip and rise after they get their bfp. enjoy being pregnant :)

@Annapolis35 fingers and toes crossed for when you take your test!it’s so good that it’s rising for you, how exciting!

My rhr dipped down to 74 today at 8dpo so not sure what’s going on there 🥲

TrulyMiss · 20/10/2022 10:53

@winterspinach Thanks for the reassurance! I have obviously been googling furiously and there are some encouraging stories.

At 8 DPO that could be an implantation dip or just that implantation hadn't occurs yet (9 DPO is the most likely day). I don't think you can draw any conclusions yet which is good!

Annapolis35 · 20/10/2022 18:18

@TrulyMiss hope all is going ok!

@winterspinach Could be an implantation dip? It’s a bit early to tell I think. I have had cramps the odd day but not as normal but this evening started feeling a bit crampy—hoping it’s implanting rather than AF on way! Will see tomorrow morning anyway now

winterspinach · 21/10/2022 01:55

@TrulyMiss experiences with this sort of thing differs so much so what’s normal for you might be totally different for someone else but it’s comforting to know! hopefully you have a healthy easy pregnancy :)

@Annapolis35 excited for you!! let us know how it goes for you in the morning, got my fingers crossed for you

Im not sure if implantation dip is a real thing - it hasn’t been proven or anything but it won’t stop me from clutching onto the concept!! i have a feeling it might not be my month so i don’t want to get ahead of myself lol

@winterspinach A BFN this morning at 11dpo on a FRER so think I’m out and my rhr has gone down again to 68. Ah well!! I was so positive for this cycle but onwards to the next one

winterspinach · 21/10/2022 08:30

@Annapolis35 I’m sorry to hear that, there’s always time before af hits - you never know! Take it easy and treat yourself to something today. You also have Diwali to look forward to :)
My rhr dropped this morning to 74 and i had a bfn too so we’re in the same boat. Im glad we’re at least not going through it alone - let’s see what the next few days bring <3

OP posts:
Annapolis35 · 21/10/2022 08:58

@winterspinach Aw no, it really does help having you to talk to ❤️❤️ And it’s so helpful to have someone to keep you positive, my oh really does not get it. He tries but it’s not the same! Yeah so many lovely things to look forward to so just gonna focus on that. You are still early too so there’s always hope! Hoping AF doesn’t arrive for either of us

TrulyMiss · 21/10/2022 10:51

Thanks both. I agree it's nice to have support on the boards, it's an otherwise very lonely process. Everything seems ok so far so just keeping my fingers crossed.

And don't lose hope yet, I didn't get a BFP with my son until 14DPO...

winterspinach · 21/10/2022 12:29

@Annapolis35 same here 💖 my dh tries but sometimes it’s only another woman who can truly understand what it feels like since it’s us who do all the waiting and checking and going mad!
Just remembered you have your exciting trip soon too! It might be just what you need to feel relaxed :)

Not sure when it is, but I hope you’re appointment goes well.

I’ll be keeping an eye on my heart rate. it went down to 73 this morn then back up to 74 - it can’t seem to decide lol!

OP posts:
winterspinach · 21/10/2022 12:31

@TrulyMiss it does feel so much better to have that support! I’m glad to hear everything is going well for you, keep well hydrated 💖

That gives me some hope! Whenever i get a bfn at 9dpo i get so bummed lol but it’s still early
