I know there was a thread where ladies tracked their rhr about a year ago and wanted to start it back up again as i’m tracking my resting heart rate! at about 7dpo today and it’s been rising for me! anyone else tracking rhr for bfp?

@Annapolis35 aw it’s okay, i actually feel fine about it funnily enough! Excited to spend time with family in the coming week and have a good time eating and drinking.

Ooh you must have gotten quite a bit up where you are- we didn’t have too much but the cold stopped it from melting but it seems to be warming up.
Sorry you’re stressed with the house, that must be so frustrating just waiting! hopefully it gets sorted soon and it’s one less thing for you to worry about!

I’ve actually take my fitbit off because don’t want to panic too much about seeing the number fall. but i’m armed with raspberry leaf tea and awaiting the new cycle. we’re going to try at home insemination on my actual O day so i’m excited to try that :)

Aw well I’m glad you’re feeling good @winterspinach and excited for Christmas - it’s a lovely time of the year and there’s loads going on. I’ve only got a few days left of work so I’m starting to shut down haha,

ahh we may have had some tentative good news so I’m hopeful by this Friday there will be some positive news and we can relax before the Christmas break. We had about a foot of snow, there was so much but it’s all pretty much gone now and warmed up loads. We may get a white Christmas here which would be so lovely - fingers crossed!

oooh home insemination! Is that with a syringe? Good plan to take the Fitbit off, I don’t think it really helps with the anxiety and uncertainty watching it every second. Basically it’s all out of our control really other than dtd!

Hi, not sure if anyone still follows this thread but I have a question! I’ve only tracked for a couple of cycles using rhr as I didn’t even know it was a thing before lol. I had a mc last cycle so I’m tracking so I can see when things go back to normal.

I had a positive opk 5 days ago but since then, my rhr has just gone down? I’m pretty sure that means I haven’t ovulated as the other times I’ve tracked, it’s only really gone up? Does anyone have any experience of the rhr going down but still getting your period 2 weeks later?

@FruitTwistFanta I took my watch off when I was 7 weeks with this pregnancy as my RHR was all over the place from ovulation onwards so I was worrying and obsessing constantly (after 2 early miscarriages where my rhr did what I expected). I’m now nearly 16 weeks and as far as I’m aware everything is fine but I’m not putting my watch back on until after my 20 weeks scan

FruitTwistFanta · 09/03/2023 13:22

Congratulations ☺️

Yeah I don’t blame you! I turned it off when I got my bfp last time but thought I’d at least be able to have some idea of ovulation this time. Maybe I should turn it off though!

Annapolis35 · 09/03/2023 19:16

To answer @FruitTwistFanta’s question, which wasn’t about rhr during pregnancy, sometimes rhr goes up after o and sometimes it goes down - there doesn’t really seem to be any reason for it and no pattern. Sometimes mine goes down for a week then rises - I’ve learnt to not read too much into it.

allgoodthings84 · 09/03/2023 20:21

@Annapolis35 I did answer the question. I said that’s what I experienced from ovulation that cycle! That it didn’t do what I expected from ovulation onwards….before I was pregnant…

allgoodthings84 · 09/03/2023 20:22

@Annapolis35 I was basically saying the same as you. To not read too much into it and not to worry

Annapolis35 · 09/03/2023 20:52

It appeared that you were just talking about rhr from being pregnant. please, I ask this politely, try to have more sensitivity on a TTC board. Not everyone is in the privileged position of being pregnant.

My advice is basically ditch the RHR on the watch as it causes no end of stress. It builds hopes up, dashes them, confuses you and doesn’t always mean anything at all anyway. The amount of times I was in tears over my RHR for no reason is why I wanted to post

allgoodthings84 · 09/03/2023 22:22

I have reported my above post. I am a bit upset that anyone thinks I’m being insensitive when I was ttc for awhile and had losses so I was not trying to be insensitive. I’m sorry to anyone who thinks I was I was trying to pass on some positivity and hope as my RHR was all over the place too and I didn’t always think I had ovulated. I had fertility tests etc so I really am not insensitive to ttc and I’m still not in a good place mentally for my previous experiences. I was just trying to help

findingbabynumberone · 10/03/2023 00:01

@Annapolis35 hello!!!
I hope you’ve been well, sorry for my abrupt disappearance, life has been hectic but still ttc :) Took a few months off to concentrate on family but back to tracking now, and feeling quite unprepared. Hope you’re keeping warm in this weather 🥶

findingbabynumberone · 10/03/2023 00:01

i also got locked out of my other account so i had to make a new one lol

Annapolis35 · 10/03/2023 08:19

I am sorry to have upset you @allgoodthings84 and I realize now you did not mean to be insensitive. I have no idea what the deleted post said as just logged in this morning. So just leave it at that. These experiences of loss scar and change you, I’m a different person since my mmc so I empathize. Is there a pregnancy after loss group who can help?

@findingbabynumberoneno problems, hope everything is ok with family. I have been taking a step back too as with you just been trying for too long so try not to let it consume. Hope the tracking pays off this month!

FruitTwistFanta · 12/03/2023 11:01

@allgoodthings84 sorry you’re not in a good place mentally. I get it, I’ve had 3 losses now (one was an TFMR at 22 weeks last year) and know if I ever get pregnant again I’ll just be terrified the whole way through.

So I’m 7dpo if I go by opk’s 🧐 I have been on a diet so wonder if that could be the reason my hr is low. I keep taking opk’s but they’re completely negative.
