I know there was a thread where ladies tracked their rhr about a year ago and wanted to start it back up again as i’m tracking my resting heart rate! at about 7dpo today and it’s been rising for me! anyone else tracking rhr for bfp?

It really is early, even if implantation happened at 9 DPO, it could take 2 days or more to show up on a test!

Annapolis35 · 21/10/2022 15:18

So my colposcopy showed that I have CIN, they aren’t sure what grade so have done a biopsy but looks early/mid stage. She said it’s ok to carry on trying to conceive though and was so reassuring. She said even if I got pregnant, they would do the treatment after birth and it would be ok. I cried during the procedure! It’s good we get smears as it can prevent anything becoming cancerous. It was all quite overwhelming and have come home to rest after!

TrulyMiss · 21/10/2022 15:51

@Annapolis35 Mind yourself! I had CIN before and found it way more upsetting than I'd have thought. They're amazing at managing it though, so hopefully no need to worry too much!

Annapolis35 · 21/10/2022 16:43

@TrulyMiss I got really terrified when they started talking about stages and burst into tears. They were so lovely though at the hospital and really helped reassure. Has it gone now for you? It really is scary but it seemed like a fairly simple treatment and she said not to worry about ttc which helped

TrulyMiss · 21/10/2022 16:53

Yes it was maybe 8 or 9 years ago. They checked me on an annual basis for a while and then it went away so I'm back to a checkup every 3 years. Other friends had treatment but it was very quick and not bad at all!

winterspinach · 21/10/2022 19:00

@Annapolis35 Oh dear that must have been quite scary for you to hear, I hope you’re taking care of yourself well after the procedure - i’m glad to hear they took care of you well and eased your mind a bit and won’t affect you ttc.
It’s great that it’s something that can be managed and treated - take it easy and have a hot cuppa and night in 💖💖

@winterspinach I had a very lazy night it was lovely! We put the fire on and just watched tv and I ate a lot of chocolate. I’ve woken up to my AF arriving right on time, alas. My rhr hasn’t really dropped yet, it’s still at 68. I didn’t really have many symptoms this month apart from sore boobs, no real cramps or anything as usual. Our bodies really like to mess with us! What dpo are you now?

We are going to Thailand on 31 October for two weeks so I won’t be tracking next month, I would like to have a month off. I’ll just go by the signs of my body, as I start getting signs about a week before ov and then 48 hours after ov I totally dry up so should be able to pinpoint it roughly. The doctor yesterday told me not to bother with ovulation sticks but it’s tough as you want to maximize chances so I have been torn, my husband thinks I should take them with me, but personally I’d like to just switch off on holiday

winterspinach · 22/10/2022 11:51

@Annapolis35 oh that sounds so nice, i’m glad you had a good evening :)

Does sound odd you rhr hasn’t dropped, mine usually does the days leading up to af, but our bodies do like to confuse us sometimes don’t they!

Im 10dpo rn and my rhr has gone up 2bpm to 76 then an hour later fell to 75. I don’t think this is our month but it’s okay if it’s isn’t!

Thailand sounds so exciting I hope you have a great time! If you really feel like taking some time off tracking and can use your natural fertility signs to track then go for it. it might help lower stress/cortisol as well which is always good for ttc! Sometimes despite advice we’re given we need to go with our instincts because you know what you need the most xx

I’m wondering if I’m having an early chemical and that’s why my rhr hasn’t dropped yet, my period is so horrible and heavy and I can barely move off the sofa! My rhr nearly always drops a couple of days before my period, but has been the odd cycle where it hasn’t and drops after. Who knows! The heaviness could be because of the biopsy yesterday too.

your rhr is looking good @winterspinach it looks really hopeful and you never know! Could be your month. That dip could’ve been implantation.

yea I think I need a month off so will definitely not track and just dtd regularly over the holiday instead. I think we both need the headspace from it and just to properly relax! I might even take the Fitbit off haha but I’ll see!!

winterspinach · 22/10/2022 21:26

@Annapolis35 that could likely be a reason it’s still staying elevated bc it does make sense for rhr to at least dip somewhat before af. did you test with frer yesterday?
I have heard you’re more fertile after a misc/chemical but i’m not sure how true that is.

I tested with frer today and got what i believe is an indent line, they’re so horrid! but i probably shouldn’t be putting tests under lights and squinting. i only have femometer 25miu sticks now so testing on any of those would show nothing at this point!
a lady once mentioned that if you use an ovulation stick and it’s high then you could be pregnant because it can mistake the hcg for lh or something!

It’s definitely a relief sometimes go abandon the fitbit so you’re not constantly thinking about it!

I hope you’ve been enjoying diwali with your family!

OP posts:
Annapolis35 · 23/10/2022 08:46

@winterspinach oh an indent!! How annoying but I hope that it progresses. When will you test again? I did test on Friday but it was stark white. Perhaps I’m clutching at straws that it was a chemical! My rhr has crashed down today. So that’s a new thing that my rhr goes down after period starts… oh the joys of our bodies!

Its also nice to not be pregnant on holiday as I won’t have to worry about eating or drinking and can properly relax. I am conscious that my original due date for my mc is 31 October so I’m really glad we are going away. I have to admit I’ve been a bit teary this period as I was so positive for this month and I was hoping I’d be preg before my due date. But it’s not meant to be and I’ve got to stay positive as it will happen, it’s just taking a bit longer than anticipated.

yes diwali celebrations tonight! My mum is making a feast so really looking forward to it. I hope you are having a nice weekend and your rhr is rising nicely. I love all the lights and candles

winterspinach · 23/10/2022 18:07

@Annapolis35 hope you’re enjoying yourself lots today!
I tested but it was a BFN on a cheapie and my bpm dropped to 74 so I really think I’m out, just waiting for AF now on wednesday which is when I’m due. If I miss it i’ll test again.

we always think we know our bodies and then something reminds us we don’t know it all eh 😂

You could get preg on holiday, so many people do because it’s so relaxing! So i’m my fingers are crossed for you.
At least you’ll be away so your mind wont be too focused on the 31st, but be easy on yourself too.

It’s hit the year and a half mark for me and dh. his cousin who got married after us got pregnant quickly so sometimes it really hard, but I know it will happen for both of us 💖

@winterspinach Sorry to hear you think AF might be arriving, though when I was pregnant I was convinced it was going to come and had all the same symptoms so you never know!!

my mum made an absolute feast last night. I couldn’t even move from all the food haha. We had some fireworks but it was raining, still so nice and I can’t wait to share those celebrations with a child.

Ah it is hard especially when people around you are giving birth etc. it will happen for both of us soon, I know it! I think all that positivity last month had a really good effect and lowered my heart rate (the three month view really shows it) so that must have had a good effect on my body and general sense of well-being. I definitely think the holiday will be good, just to get away from all the cold and dark (I live in Scotland!). I hope you have some nice things to look forward to?

Counting down the days now and only five more days of work… unfortunately have to go to the office two days and trying to come up with excuses to get out of it haha

winterspinach · 25/10/2022 23:55

@Annapolis35 its okay, after it happening a few times you get a bit used to it unfortunately 😭. my rhr went to 73 this morning and i’ve started spotting so I think that’s a sign if anything that it’s starting properly tomorrow!

Glad you had such a good time! My neighbours had a big firework display it was nice to watch :)

I’m so glad the positivity had a good affect on you, that’s great to hear!

Ooh i love scotland, and the Scottish! I’m a londoner originally but i’m in brum now after getting married! The winters in this country especially up north are so bitter, so it’s good you’re going to get a bit of sunshine!! so excited for you, hope you both have a really good time and eat a lot of tasty food!

We recently got a little kitten so he’s been a lovely little bundle of joy during these times so a lot of energy is going into spoiling him 😂 He sits on my lap while I work at home and bites my ankles sometimes.

(sometimes i just pull a sicky when i want a day off 🫢)

Awww I love kittens, we’ve been thinking of either getting one or a puppy to keep us busy and give us some joy. You’re always busy with a kitten around!

glad you feel fine about AF coming. In a way it’s good mine came as I can go on holiday and eat and drink whatever I want and not have to worry. So that’s definitely a positive!

Haha I have been known to just take a day off when I can’t come up with an excuse not to go to the office. I have to go in two days a week now and it’s definitely nice to see people but the commuting is quite draining (and expensive).

Yeah I really find the dark winters difficult. I’m also originally from down south so don’t have the constitution for Scottish winters! I get chilblains and I am always constantly cold, I think I probably need a thicker layer of fat haha… I’ll stick with thermals! But the people here are very nice, I’ve got used to the gentle, friendly nature of people and I don’t really like going to London anymore. Brum is a great city though!

winterspinach · 26/10/2022 10:48

Aw yes I’d really recommend getting one, they’re such a joy.

Glad you’re thinking positive about it too, i get scared of eating too much sugar or anything while ttc so we got a big takeaway last night and indulged haha

Oh yours is more hybrid then? The working world is really changing isn’t it. I never expected to wfh but i’ve become so used to it now that I can’t imagine commuting again. (and yes the expense!!)

try one of this electric blankets, they’ve saved me from the past two chilly winters here.
Whenever i go back to london i get a culture shock, it’s so busy i can’t think straight!

Something odd happened this morning and my rhr went up two beats. it should be lowering and i’m still spotting but it feels like it’s my period on the way so i’m very confused !

I cut out all sugar and stuff for a while but I came to the conclusion there’s no point suffering even more as it’s hard, so you may as well enjoy life in the meantime to moderation.

Yes! I’m hybrid, I was before the pandemic - 3 days in office and 2 at home and now the reverse. I can’t ever imagine going in more than two days now though.

oooh will try an electric blanket. Ahhh that’s good news if it’s risen! Mine did something random like that this month too but I’m hoping it’s more positive for you. Do you normally spot before AF? @winterspinach

winterspinach · 27/10/2022 08:17

@Annapolis35 you’re right! there’s no point as I doubt it’s having some sugar and fat that’s having any affect, it’s okay in moderation. I have such a sweet tooth too i need something after every meal haha.

something strange has happened today. my rhr has risen again but i’m still spotting/bleeding somewhat. it doesn’t feel like a normal period but there is blood (tmi sorry) so I really don’t know what going on with my body. i usually get all the crams and stuff out of the way on the first day of af but i haven’t really had any of that and not much shows up on a pad.

I usually spot a little yes so i thought it was just gearing up to start but it’s been three days now lol

@winterspinach Thats so unusual!! Have you tested at all to see? Not tmi I think we’ve shared enough now! I think I’d wait a few days and see if it stays elevated then test. Have you had any other symptoms? My rhr has risen again already too, though I suspect just gearing up for next ov, which probably isn’t for a while yet as only on day 6.

I’ve had a weird thing, the last couple of days I’ve had ewcm?? Seems a bit early! Normally doesn’t happen til much later in cycle, say day 14 onwards really. We will start on dtd just in case my body is being bizarre. Maybe it’s just gonna happen early this month. Last day of work too wooo!

winterspinach · 29/10/2022 18:49

@Annapolis35 i think it may have been my exercising, i’ve been doing a bit more the past few days and apparently that can raise your rhr haha.
In trying to get fitter and more stamina with this little home stepper i got and it’s helping a lot.

I hope you’ve been well! that’s such good news wow!!! get bd!! have you used any sticks to track?

Hello all!

I’ve only been tracking my RHR a couple of months but this month is definitely different. My period started on the 6th and I think I ovulated on the 21st. My RHR has previously stayed high til about 1-2 days before my period comes but this time at only about 8DPO I’m pretty much down at pre ovulation rate. Does this happen to anyone else?

Tracking your cycle and possible BFP using RHR
Annapolis35 · 29/10/2022 22:50

@winterspinach Oh I didn’t know that! Could explain why my rhr was lower last month as I reduced the amount of exercise I did. So that probably is why! No tracking this month, just dtd every other day or when we feel like, it’s nice to have a month off with low expectations. Hopefully means in 2ww I won’t be as mental haha.

@RainbowSearching It could be an implantation dip so fingers crossed for you. I think 8dpo is a bit early too tell as would have only just implanted. I’m afraid I’ve had months where it’s just started declining from about then to AF, I swear every month it does something different. I think it does this just to mess with my head haha. Last month it only dropped the day after AF came. So weird. I am hoping it’s good news for you and keep us updated!

RainbowSearching · 30/10/2022 07:29

Hello @Annapolis35 👋🏻 My RHR has only risen to 62 today, no big rise, so I think I’m just having 1 of those weird months 🤷🏻‍♀️
