Our SMEP plans continue.... The old thread is almost full, so I started a new thread so we can continue on SMEP-ing to a BFP ✨☺️✨

I’ve got my scan tomorrow and I’m absolutely terrified of finding I’ve had a mmc or something is wrong but hopefully will all be ok

good luck for your scan, that has flown in, I took myself off the boards for a bit cos it was getting me down! But can’t believe todays test 😍 was expecting nothing ! x

@NSx at 10/11dpo I would say your line is great! I didn’t test until 14dpo on frer and it was mega dark but reckon at your stage would have been just like yours. I feel better than I did. Up until the last week or so I’ve been so nauseous I was prescribed tablets! I’m really excited but scared about tomorrow. My 9 weeks private scan was all good but that was 3.5 weeks ago and things can change.

my first “symptom” all 3 times was being run down with a sore throat. Well this third time I ended up with strep throat at just before 5 weeks!

@allgoodthings84 I’m hoping all is ok ❤️ … I have my 8 week scan on 15 March, so just have to hold my breath until then 😂🤞 …
I totally get the feeling of being nervous I will be exactly the same, but honestly I’m sure it will be fine! yes I’ve been feeling a bit woozy in the mornings for the past couple days it gets better as the day goes on. Then yesterday I got this very sore throat & I googled and apparently a sore throat is a lot of peoples symptoms - bizarre isn’t it ?

@NSx good luck with the digital. I was too scared to take a digital until 21dpo then it was 3+ so didn’t do another 🤦🏻‍♀️.

This morning I noticed I have a slight hard curve to my lower abdomen so hoping that’s a positive sign. It definitely wasn’t there yesterday even! I hope it’s not just that I’m getting fat 😂 I’m 12+5 by LMP but know I ovulated a bit late after the chemical so more like 12+2 I reckon.

I had a scan at 9 weeks and it settled my nerves for around a week 😂 it was really lovely though

Hello Ladies, I'm new here but just wanted to ask a question about SMEP as I know you will all be so knowledgable and it's a few years since I did it the first time round with my first! Funnily enough I think a thread with this same title was going then!

So, We have dtd EOD, CD 10, 12, 14 then got my peak OPK on CD 15, so dtd CD 15 and 16. Today is CD 17
I know we should do it another 2 days if following the SMEP way but as our every other days ran into our every days we are knackered...
I was just wondering on the theory behind carrying on for so long after the positive OPK when most things say the days before are most important?
Would you carry on and dtd tonight too? I need encouragement 😂

@NSx with my daughter I didn’t show properly until around 22 weeks and then it just suddenly popped

@TunnocksTCake to be honest I think most of us ended up doing a bit of our own thing. When I got pregnant the 3rd time (2 back to back early miscarriages / chemical pregnancies before) we didn’t dtd on ovulation day as was busy and didn’t do it after that as had had enough. My first CP was cycle 5 and my second was cycle 6 and then I’m 12 weeks pregnant now from cycle 7. We stopped doing after ovulation day from around cycle 4 I think as had enough and it wasn’t working for us. So basically this last cycle we only did peak day, day before peak and 3 days before peak and it was enough for us

@TunnocksTCake I didn’t get peak until CD16 this time (usually CD12-14) as I had the second CP the cycle before which pushed back ovulation by a few days so didn’t know how long it was going to take or when I would be fertile as I peak fast and suddenly so we cut back then when I did peak we was busy the day after fir ovulation 😂 turns out it didn’t matter even though at the time I was a bit upset about it (not that I mentioned it).

@TunnocksTCake wish I could help you. I DTD 6 days in a row because I couldn’t quite figure out when I ovulated as my temps were all over the place, tbh I feel in the last 8 months I’ve tried every combination - miss days, not miss days u name it 😂😂 so I don’t think there’s a right or wrong way!
I did however use preseed/conceive plus lube and also used a fertilily 😊

@allgoodthings84 i wonder if it will be different this time for you - they say u pop faster with your second!

I’ve had theeee worst nights sleep with this sore throat/sinuses everytime I swallow it’s like somethings stuck! So awful 😫😫😫

@NSx keep an eye on it as mine started like that and turned into strep throat so needed antibiotics. I was so poorly over Xmas with it.

I have a holiday booked in August, I’ll be 31 weeks. Is this stupidity to even consider going? 😂😂 it’s a 4 hour flight? I don’t know what 31/32 weeks looks like ? x

@NSx I personally would try and bring it forwards. You will likely feel ok but might not and travel insurance will be a bugger if you can even get it and you will need it more than ever just in case.

@allgoodthings84 that’s what I’m thinking —- ahh how annoying 😂😅

@NSx the latest they recommend is 28 weeks because of travel insurance and because a lot of people end up needing checks for reduced movement etc after 30 weeks. I know I did a couple times. It’s common but rare anything is actually wrong but you would be worried if you was away and felt you needed that check for peace of mind

Yea I worked for an airline before and we required a fit to fly cert from GP at 29 weeks, it’s not impossible but I just wasn’t sure if it’s worth taking the risk 😫😂 I literally booked it last month and didn’t even consider this because it just wasn’t happening 😂😂😂 @allgoodthings84
