Our SMEP plans continue.... The old thread is almost full, so I started a new thread so we can continue on SMEP-ing to a BFP ✨☺️✨

Hope you're as ok as you can be this morning @allgoodthings84? I started to get my hopes up
a little last night. Had some cramping off and on during the day, which I don't usually get days before AF plus a couple of the tiniest bits of pink spotting. By the time bedtime came and I hadnt started AF I'd convinced myself it might be a good sign but did an IC with FMU this morning and not even a squinter so guess that rules that out. I don't know why I keep getting my hopes up! Got a feeling AF will just be here by the end of the day instead 🫠

Sorry I've been so Mia. Busy time at work, turned 30 and had covid all in a few weeks 🫠 My husband also got some bad news from his sperm analysis. His doctor rang him and very blatantly said you sperm count is zero, I can refer you to ivf. He's so disappointed and we aren't sure what our timeline looks like now, so will just have to wait and see.

@allgoodthings84 just catching up 😥. So sorry you've had that news again, bad enough to happen to you once.

@pomdownunder1 oh I’m so so sorry 😢 that’s really heartbreaking .. did they tell you what your options are (I know they said IVF but how does that work with zero sperm count?)

Sorry AF got you @fsr111 😥 I also just tested negative on an IC, totally stark white. Weirdly my temp has been steadily dropping over the past few days, which is totally unlike my usual charts. This cycle I've only been using my ava bracelet and I'm still not sure about it. My LP is always 16/17 days, so I'm not due AF until Wednesday, but my chart looks like I'm due on any day, so I'm very confused 🤷🏻‍♀️

Sorry to hear that @pomdownunder1 hopefully you can ask to be referred to a specialist clinic and get some concrete answers.

I feel really rubbish if I’m honest. I would have preferred to have not been pregnant then have a 2nd loss in 2 cycles. I emailed my GP earlier so will wait to hear back. I’m feeling like what’s the point in even trying if I keep getting the emotional rollercoaster of getting pregnant and then losing it a few days later.

annoyingly the spotting has stopped. I just want it to get one with it and be over so I can move on

I have been ttc for a few months now, I have a regular 21 day cycle. I had last cycle 24th October, I was due the 14th November.
still no sign…. I have taken 3 tests 2 with faint lines or so I think I’m just confused is it still too early to tell?

Hey @NSx, all good here. Over the initial AF has just arrived misery. How are you? How many dpo are you now? Been thinking of you @allgoodthings84, hope you're ok? @pomdownunder1, I stumbled across a couple of boards on here for people going through the same things after the SA results, looks like there's lots of things they can try. I'm sure it's a really stressful time for you both though, must have been a shock to get that result. How has your OH taken it? How are you getting on @LucyFraser1981, hope AF is keeping her distance.

Thanks all. It's really rubbish and he's taken it pretty badly. Just holding onto some hope that maybe it's a blockage and can be sorted out rather than no sperm altogether. Thanks @fsr111 I have been reading a few threads! How are you?

@fsr111 no AF yet, but I'm not due until Tuesday/Wednesday thanks to my long LP 🙄🤦🏻‍♀️ tested with a FRER yesterday and stark white, and again with an IC today and still negative, plus my temps have been going steadily down for the past four/five days, and Ava has predicted my period will arrive on Tuesday, so think this is yet another failed cycle for us. We started "letting nature take it's course" a year ago now, then actively trying since July, and no luck at all. I'm funding it hard to decipher my feelings, because in practical terms a baby would be better arriving around this time next year, when my partner and i are living together, rather than the summer before we've sold our houses/bought one together in October, but as we're both 41 we don't exactly have the luxury of waiting before TTC, so I can't decide how I feel about it all. Mainly sad and disappointed that it's not happened again I guess, with an underlying feeling of maybe life is just waiting until things are more suitable? If my partner gets the job he interviewed for on Tuesday then that would massively set my mind at ease, so still keeping fingers crossed for that.

I’m 10dpo, tested with an IC cos I had a bunch of them sitting - and Ofcourse - stark white.
AF is due on Thursday so I am not holding my breath.
Spoke to my partner he’s going to contact his GP and see if there’s anything from his side he can do as he just turned 36 and we’ve been trying for a year in December - granted we fell pregnant in feb but that didn’t work out so surely something is wrong.
im sorry that everyone is going through a tough time in here, honestly it’s just not fair 😭😭😭😭

@fsr111 right!! In some good news I did double my progesterone levels after only a month of using the supplements my naturopath recommended. Also had no spotting and went to a 12 day luteal phase! Of course none of this matters now but small wins 🥳

@pomdownunder1 this is amazing, can I ask what you were recommended to take?

Some are for egg quality and others are for luteal phase. Can give you more info if you need!

@pomdownunder1 looks good 💗 I’ve got a tel consult with my GP on Wednesday 🤞 and my partner has one on Friday, so we will know this week if they can do any more checks to help us or I need to look elsewhere

Morning everyone, how are you all doing? We have Covid, DH is especially sick with it. Just wondered what everyone's experience is with it affecting ovulation, etc.? Just trying to prepare myself!

@fsr111 hey! i had covid this week (tested positive last tuesday which was CD10 and I still ovulated as usual on CD14 so no change for me , DTD is certainly more of a military operation with zero romance but there ya go 🤣. My other half didn’t catch it either strangely! Hope you get through without feeling too rough, mine was moderate but managable and I was able to just stay in bed 🤣❤️ xxxxx

Morning all, AF has arrived today (15 day LP for me this cycle, so slightly shorter than my usual 16/17). Ava bracelet predicted it would arrive today, so pretty impressed.

@fsr111 as far as I'm aware it won't necessarily change ovulation, but some studies on sperm motility etc showed a decrease for up to three months after covid, so that's something to maybe be aware of, although I think it's only a couple of studies. I googled it in the summer after hearing about it potentially affecting sperm etc. Hope you're both feeling okay 💗

@fsr111 it put my ovulation back by nearly a week when I had it in the summer and if I’m honest I’m pretty sure it affected my partners sperm for around 3 months. I had read on a few sites with studies that they think it does affect sperm quality for around 3 months and I think it’s about right. We started ttc the month or so before we both got covid then straight after those 3 months I got pregnant and then the next cycle I got pregnant again. It could be complete coincidence though who knows. I know I dread my partner getting covid again though.

I still haven’t heard back from my GP yet.

@allgoodthings84 I'm used to her showing up, and was expecting it after all the negative tests. Trying to look on it that life is just waiting until it's better timing for my partner and I. Especially as he got offered the job today that he interviewed for last week! Means we'll be able to buy the house together in the town we want to move to, and means the last bit of stress/potential barrier to our life together has been removed. I'm so bloody relieved. Hopefully be able to relax a bit now, which should hopefully help with conceiving 🍀 Although do still need to deal with his house renovation and lazy brother who does nothing... 🙄
