@DesertSnow I think I should be able to track my BBT without him noticing - during the week he’s out of the house at 6.45 and I’m usually still in bed and then weekends I’m out the house at 7 and he’s still in bed! Only more difficult day is every other Monday when he doesn’t leave till 8 and I’m working from home, but should still be doable!

LucyLoopyLu · 22/11/2022 11:52

@DesertSnow so pleased you have another positive test and it's darker. I don't think you need to worry too much if there isn't the textbook progression between the lines, could be just something like your wee being less/more diluted etc and a positive is a positive! Really sending you all the best thoughts for a happy healthy pregnancy 💖 and hope you're doing OK

@Houseelf90 hoping this Christmas time won't be too hard for you ❤️ and lots of luck for this / next cycle. I'm sure a chemical can send your cycle a bit wonky but don't have any personal experience. I think it's sensible to remain chilled for a few months as long as you're DTD frequently because extra stress doesn't help

I'm CD19, 2dpo and AF due on 5th. Just really wanting this to work out so desperately 😫 I'm trying to stay chilled though. We've had a lot of stress the past 2-3 months and I'm just trying not to let it affect me, and making sure I carry on with my running which I got out of the habit of doing in August / September which I don't think is good for my mental health.
I'm also seriously considering deleting social media for a while because I know that's not good for me either.

Houseelf90 · 22/11/2022 12:06

@LucyLoopyLu thank you! I guess at least there are lots of distractions over Christmas!
I hope this is a lucky cycle for you! How long have you been TTC?

LucyLoopyLu · 22/11/2022 12:59

@Houseelf90 this is cycle 8, it feels like a long time with no progress. Weird to think we could have had a January due date. Now it will be August if we are lucky

Houseelf90 · 22/11/2022 13:08

@LucyLoopyLu its crazy when you look at it like that isn’t it!!

PinkButtercups · 22/11/2022 13:21

Had my 34 week midwife appt today. My consultant was next door incase I needed her which we did as midwife wasn't sure if she was picking the same twin up on the Doppler which set me into a panic. Thankfully the consultant came straight in and scanned me and both babies are well thank goodness. Could've cried with relief.

At this moment Twin 1 has gone head down 🥳🥳. The midwife did say that because I have extra amniotic fluid that they have a tendency to turn again so hopefully Twin 1 won't be a pickle and go breech!

Had my weekly FBC and BA's bloods done today which they put through as urgent. The FBC actually came back whilst I was there within about 20 minutes! Just waiting for my BA's results but my lovely midwife said she will keep checking all day and phone me when they're in. Hoping the level had reduced from last week🤞🏼.

PinkButtercups · 22/11/2022 13:22

Sent not set*

LucyLoopyLu · 22/11/2022 16:16

@PinkButtercups yay fantastic news about twin 1 turning! Now just for them both to stay the right way! Hope all OK with your bloods as well when you get them x x x x

SarahShorty · 22/11/2022 16:40

I think this is the longest cycle I've ever flippin' had. CD42! No sign of AF. I've not done any more tests because know in my gut that I'm not pregnant, I'm waiting for my body to do something, and then I'm going to get bloods done at the fertility clinic. For legal reasons. Would you believe Hep B was able to survive in frozen embryos and infect a group of women undergoing IVF? Liquid nitrogen didn't kill Hep B.... 😳

SarahShorty · 22/11/2022 20:32

Annnd just like that, AF arrives. I hate this. Onto cycle #8 (month #10), last natural try. I'll ring up the clinic tomorrow to get blood tests arranged. What a long, drawn out rubbish-fest of a cycle.

PinkButtercups · 22/11/2022 21:05

@SarahShorty sorry to hear that xx

PinkButtercups · 22/11/2022 21:07

@LucyLoopyLu I know! 🤞🏼 they play ball with me 🤣. Haven't had my BA back but my lovely midwife phoned me at 4:30 and said she hasn't forgotten about me but my results aren't back but she's passed me onto her colleague to ring me tomorrow as they will be back then. She really goes above and beyond for me same as my consultant. I couldn't ask for a better midwife or consultant so feel lucky to have them on my side!

Houseelf90 · 22/11/2022 21:11

Just had a bit of spotting when I wiped after a wee! This is quite normal for me at the start of AF but is also the same as I had with implantation before my CP. I am relieved that something is happening not to set us back further if it’s AF, should know in a day or 2 if it’s AF or implantation!

LucyLoopyLu · 22/11/2022 21:13

@PinkButtercups so glad they're looking after you well, and they are keeping an eye on everything for you! Not long to wait now!

@SarahShorty so sorry about AF after it taking so long. Sounds really stressful. I hope you feel OK and can take comfort in having a good positive plan without all thus waiting in limbo. Fingers crossed for next cycle, and if it doesn't work then on with the fertility clinic x

BethSuz27 · 23/11/2022 10:21

6dpo today and so far felt nothing at all, trying not to symptoms spot especially now because I know I shouldn’t really get anything until implantation, but this is the first month I’ve not had something to spot before 6dpo haha

DesertSnow · 23/11/2022 12:29

@Houseelf90 I've definitely found tracking BBT helpful but I know for some it puts too much pressure on the whole thing. It depends what works for you. Interesting re. the spotting! Any update?

@LucyLoopyLu thank you so much for your kind wishes! Keeping everything crossed for you getting your BFP really really soon. Taking steps for your mental health is a really good idea, i'm a runner too and know if I don't keep it up my mh suffers.

Super news about twin 1 turning @PinkButtercups 🥳

I'm so sorry @SarahShorty. Onwards and upwards 🤞

@BethSuz27 so hard not to symptom spot isn't it! Even when you logically know symptoms are mostly down to progesterone. I still did it this cycle despite promising I wouldn't! 🤣

Houseelf90 · 23/11/2022 12:47

@DesertSnow I’ve ordered a BBT thermometer so I will see how I get on with that. Still just a small amount of spotting which is getting my hopes up! I’ll give it till tomorrow or Friday and test if it doesn’t turn to full AF!

BritishDesiGirl · 23/11/2022 13:23

I just got my BBT. Would really appreciate some advice on how to use it. Please.

DesertSnow · 23/11/2022 13:46

@Houseelf90 everything crossed! 🤞🤞🤞

@BritishDesiGirl so the idea is to take your temp first thing when you wake up every morning, before you get out of bed/speak. Ideally take it the same time each day (I have myself half an hour's leeway sometimes due to schedule). Record the temp, and then to confirm ovulation you will have a temp rise. If higher temps are sustained for 3 consecutive days, ovulation is confirmed. It will be on the day before the first temp rise. Some people also experience a dip in temp on the day of ovulation itself, before the rise, but you won't see that till you look back on the pattern. Temps remain high until AF. The key is to working out what your patterns are. E.g. some people's temp drops day of AF, some the day before etc. Hope that helps!

LucyLoopyLu · 24/11/2022 21:37

@DesertSnow @Houseelf90 @BethSuz27 how are you all getting on?

I'm still only 4dpo (seems slow thus time) so just waiting

Houseelf90 · 24/11/2022 22:28

@LucyLoopyLu I’m not having the best time to be honest! Tuesday I had a bad migraine which made me feel really sick and then last night I was sick quite a lot, but my partners daughter was also sick (she was at her mums but was with us at the weekend until Monday morning) so think we’ve both got a sickness bug, rather than it being any symptoms for me!
I still wouldn’t say AF has properly arrived, but there’s certainly more when I wipe (covers the loo roll, but not a lot on the pad). I think there’s enough to stop me testing though.

DesertSnow · 24/11/2022 22:47

@Houseelf90 oh no I'm so sorry to hear, that sounds really rough. Hope you're getting lots of rest and feel better soon.

@LucyLoopyLu Thanks for checking in! I got myself in a bit of a panic as I did a cheapie this morning (16DPO/4w5d) and it wasn't much darker than the one I did from 2 days ago. But then I had a google and seems one step tests are known for not being good at showing progression, so trying to keep calm. Feel pretty tired, boobs a bit sore, and I have this constant feeling of fulness but otherwise no symptoms to write home about. Thanks for checking in 💖How are you doing, do you have stuff lined up for the tww to distract yourself?

LucyLoopyLu · 24/11/2022 23:13

@Houseelf90 oh no, you poor thing! Hope you feel better soon! Do you think it is just a light period then rather than implantation? I have 2 days really heavy on my period so I think it would be pretty obvious if it was implantation but I know one of my friends didn't realise until 2nd period was missed as hers are light anyway, and it was an unplanned pregnancy!

@DesertSnow glad you're ok, totally understand why you were stressed but 100% sure you are right not to despair about the line not being as dark etc. A positive is a positive and I'm not sure how accurate the cheap tests are, in terms of showing "textbook" rising HCG. Have you thought about getting one of the clear blue with the weeks on? Tbf I don't know if they are any better and they are definitely expensive but might set your mind at ease x

LucyLoopyLu · 24/11/2022 23:16

@DesertSnow sorry, realised I forgot to answer your question! I have a busy week next week with work so I think except for the weekend it should hopefully go quite quickly 🤞🤞 I've been really hungry this week (prob from restarting running) and my husband said maybe you're eating for two 😂 I said I don't think a tiny floating speck of cells counts as eating for two, even if it is in there its too early for implantation!

BethSuz27 · 24/11/2022 23:34

@LucyLoopyLu 7dpo and not feeling loads, have had a few on and off again cramps but nothing major, otherwise nothing to report from me!
how are you?
