Hi everyone ☺️

I am a bit eager with this thread, I've just started my dreaded period (feel a little glum to be honest!) and I have been ovulating quite late, so if by a miracle I am successful this month I would be due end of may/early June. I have been dipping in and out of these threads and found them fantastic support so I hope you don't mind me carrying on the trend!

I am going into cycle 4, I am 31 and were trying for our first πŸ‘ΆπŸ»I suffered a chemical pregnancy recently and I feel SO ready to become pregnant, I want this so badly, as I am sure you all do too!

I was trawling through some old threads and found these facts that I found useful , feel free to read if you like πŸ˜™

  1. 80% of couples having regular sex (2/3 times a week) with no issues will fall pregnant in a year.
  2. 90% of couples having regular sex with no issues will fall pregnant in two years.

3.Each cycle you have approx 20% chance of falling pregnant.
4.The egg only lives for 24 hours so very small window to fertilise it
5.Decent sperm can live up to 5 days inside you so good to have sex before you think you ovulate as well as after.
6.If using ovulation testing the test picks up on Lh surge which often happens after the egg has been released.
7.Most NHS CCG will not investigate fertility problems until you have been having regular unprotected sex for over a year and some places insists for two years.
8.If you track your Basel body temperature it can give you a good indication of when you ovulate to get to know your cycles.
  1. Some types of lube can damage sperm be careful what you are using. (We are using preseed but using it like normal lube, not inserting it prior!)

Wishing you all the luck in world for this cycle 🀞🀞🀞🀞🀞

Ah ok @EdinburghGirl1 is it recommended to take more? At this point I’ll try anything πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

@NSx from what I've read yes. It should be more like 100mg-600mg

AF arrived for me today after a 25 day cycle - those of you taking pregnacare, do you find it lengthens your cycle? It did for me last year, and I stopped taking it as it was making longer cycles even longer! Now I'm between 24-27 days, I'm thinking a slightly longer might help. It might have been unrelated though!

I am also taking COQ10 as an extra 300mg as I read higher doses are better, also taking starflower oil and omega 3

@BiscuitLover3678 yeah I know that feeling, although it’s lovely people are getting their BFP, it’s sad to be left behind.

I’ve bought new vitamins today, going with good old pregnacare this time

Good luck! Which vitamins? I’ve started proceive

When do people start testing if they don't know when AF is due? We've been trying so much this cycle, I have my hopes up!

Standard cycle is around 28 days so that mean AF should arrive on day 28. So I guess you could wait until that many days in to test! Of if you’re like me, do an early from 5 days prior πŸ˜‚

Hi everyone,

I’ve been following these threads for a while now but haven’t posted before.
we’ve been ttc since March, managed to fall pregnant straight away but MC at 8 weeks.

I had a private scan because the nhs wait to check if I had MC was 2 weeks, at the scan they said I had a thin endometrium but they weren’t sure id it had caused the MC or if it was due to the MC as there was nothing left at the time of the scan.

since then I’ve been on a lot of different vitamins and supplements every month, used a conception cup, DTD Every day up to and during ovulation which I track religiously, this month I’ve bought pre seed so we’ll see where that goes!

anyone got any tips Id love to hear them!

@FieldView I've certainly heard that it can lengthen cycles but not for everyone.

@Mummyme87 I take omega 3 too and have been since we started ttc in June. Fingers crossed the COQ10 helps us this month.

@WannabeMum22 I tried SMEP last 2 months but it didn't work. I'll probably do some variation of it this month again too.

@Bluejeanbaby91 sorry about your MC. I've heard good things about pre seed. Fingers crossed gif you this cycle.

@WannabeMum22 we did SMEP (to the extreme) when we conceived number 1, it worked the first month we did it. We used pre-seed with it too x

Hi everyone, hope it’s ok to join this thread 😊

Me and DH have decided the time is right to TTC #1. AF started yesterday so I am CD2 of cycle 1.

I’ve been doing a lot of research but finding it all a bit overwhelming! I’m hoping chatting on here with help me get my head around it all a bit more!

Also jumping ship from the May thread!
CD1 today!

@Londonlady22 I think you are right about the OPKs, the LH surge is before ovulation, not after like it says in point 6!

just going into cycle 2 of trying - started last month but actually a little relieved as I’ve a holiday in 2 weeks and holidays booked in May when I would have been due!

NSx · 30/08/2022 08:18

@WannabeMum22 hi - I did SMEP the last two cycles I’m just finishing this cycle which is 2 (I feel AF may come today or tomorrow) so haven’t been successful.
not sure if I will do it 100% again next month, maybe something similar but not exactly as it didn’t work for me πŸ₯²

Hi All,

Hope its OK to join the thread! I'm currently TTC #1 Cycle 7 but its been about 9 months due to long cycles and a few that have been even longer due to Covid!

I've been stalking these threads a little bit the entire time and commenting here and there but find it all a bit overwhelming when I've been feeling particularly down so just tend to pop in and out!

I'm currently CD16 and my apps reckon I am just entering my fertile window now but I have a strong feeling I have ovulated early this month and its already over so I'm in a bit of limbo!

I have used OPKs in the past but stopped a few months ago at the recommendation of my OH because it was adding extra stress so I have tried to adopt a more relaxed attitude, which was all well and good until I now may have missed it this month!

I think I may have ovulated CD 13/14 and we DTD CD13 and 15 so hopefully if that is the case we may still have a chance? Here's hoping!

Anyway I'm sorry for the life story but I need to dump these thoughts somewhere so hopefully you dont mind!

Good Luck to Everyone and hopefully this is the month!

@Mays12 Welcome πŸ’•βœ¨
I know it can be quite daunting in these groups especially when people are getting their BFP and you are still trying but this is a safe space and people are happy to listen and hold your hand when needed πŸ’œ
AF has arrived for me so I’m now officially onto cycle 3 β€” πŸ₯ΉπŸ₯²πŸ’•

forgot what an absolute faff ovulation tests were πŸ™ˆ Twice a day peeing into a cup, getting pee on my hand, washing my hands, drying my hands, getting the tiny little test out the packet, dipping it in only to do it for 1 second too long or too short and having to do it again πŸ™„ Then to scan it in to the premom app only for it to say low. Yeah I know, I could have told you that today πŸ€¦πŸΌβ€β™€οΈπŸ˜‚

Hi all

Wanted to join and be with others at the same time, good luck to all!

I had a chemical last month at 5+3. It was only cycle 2 trying so I am aware we were lucky to fall so quickly but it really broke me.

Am now cycle day 6 and have almost stopped bleeding and want to get back on the trying horse again. Doing OPKs to see when my ovulation is. It varies anyway, but think it may be a bit wonky because of the chemical, we will see!

Hoping to see lots of BFPs here!

@NSx Thank you for your welcome! It's so nice to have a place like this to talk to others in a similar situation!

@Allgoodthings1 I know they drive you mad! I did them for the first few months but had to stop because I couldn't take anymore! haha

@Pepilachat so sorry to here about your loss and wish you all the luck for this month!

I think I'm currently about 4dpo and already symptom spotting even though I know its completely ridiculous and illogical! I dont even know if I've actually ovulated yet which makes it even stupider haha!

Is anyone else at a similar stage in their cycle? Or for those who have already had children at what point did you first know you were pregnant?
