Hi everyone ☺️

I am a bit eager with this thread, I've just started my dreaded period (feel a little glum to be honest!) and I have been ovulating quite late, so if by a miracle I am successful this month I would be due end of may/early June. I have been dipping in and out of these threads and found them fantastic support so I hope you don't mind me carrying on the trend!

I am going into cycle 4, I am 31 and were trying for our first πŸ‘ΆπŸ»I suffered a chemical pregnancy recently and I feel SO ready to become pregnant, I want this so badly, as I am sure you all do too!

I was trawling through some old threads and found these facts that I found useful , feel free to read if you like πŸ˜™

  1. 80% of couples having regular sex (2/3 times a week) with no issues will fall pregnant in a year.
  2. 90% of couples having regular sex with no issues will fall pregnant in two years.
3.Each cycle you have approx 20% chance of falling pregnant. 4.The egg only lives for 24 hours so very small window to fertilise it 5.Decent sperm can live up to 5 days inside you so good to have sex before you think you ovulate as well as after. 6.If using ovulation testing the test picks up on Lh surge which often happens after the egg has been released. 7.Most NHS CCG will not investigate fertility problems until you have been having regular unprotected sex for over a year and some places insists for two years. 8.If you track your Basel body temperature it can give you a good indication of when you ovulate to get to know your cycles.
  1. Some types of lube can damage sperm be careful what you are using. (We are using preseed but using it like normal lube, not inserting it prior!)

Wishing you all the luck in world for this cycle 🀞🀞🀞🀞🀞

@anotherpotoftea have you always been on the pill? I’ve just stopped mine too, just finished the β€˜period’ you get when you stop it but waiting this cycle anyway as I have too much on to be able to be pregnant before the end of September. I have a little one already and that time I stopped it, tried the first cycle although knew I should have waited. Took 40 days for a proper period to come. Longest 40 days ever! Didn’t do opks that cycle, didn’t get pregnant and told myself not to be gutted but I still was. Started opks after that and it was only one more unlucky month before I got pregnant. Personally I feel like I need to use them πŸ™ˆ I’m going to use them this month even though we aren’t actively trying til next month, I’ll get a rough idea whether it’s gone back to normal or if it’s way off. Good luck!

EdinburghGirl1 · 28/08/2022 07:06

@bellaolive yes I think I see something. Are you testing again today?

@anotherpotoftea hi when ttc my first I came off the pill and waited for first period before actually trying but this time round we started trying straight away. It's a personal choice but you won't really know where about sun your cycle you are so difficult to track things. But if you DRD regularly it could happen. I know that happened to a couple friends of mine. Both times for me my first proper period was around 3 weeks or so after withdrawal bleed

@afinethingindeed hi snd good luck for next week.

@Summerbreeze111 congratulations on your engagement

anotherpotoftea · 28/08/2022 11:17

@Allgoodthings1 I’ve been on it for a very long time! Without the pill my cycle used to be 25 days like clockwork but who knows if it will be like that now. Not sure if a short cycle is better or worse for TTC really. Will just have to see what happens.

Got my fingers crossed for @bellaolive and for everyone else!

Mummyme87 · 28/08/2022 14:00

Good afternoon! Hopping over from May babies thread, although have been a bit awol.

AF started today so CD1 of cycle 12, ttc #3 with one tube due to a ruptured ectopic 2yrs ago. Had mirena coil out in October last year. Had bloods and scan done and all normal, although progesterone a bit up and down.

this cycle I’m going to focus in a bit more, get on with losing some weight, maybe some mindfulness.
need more vitamins as run out of main ones, need some for OH aswel. What ones are your OH’s using? Anyone doing anything different this cycle?

if I was successful this cycle would be an early June baby. My DS1 was due 26th June 2014, he came 6th July

bellaolive · 28/08/2022 15:21

Hi ladies! Finally home from our trip - tested as soon as I got in the door from the airport (obviously) and no mistaking this line!!!! β™₯️

I'll save my cb digi until FMU tomorrow - this test was only after a 2 hour hold but looks just like it did when I found out I was pregnant with my son πŸ₯°

Over the moon! Thanks for all the positive wishes x

anotherpotoftea · 28/08/2022 15:41

Ah that’s amazing @bellaolive! Congratulations!

Allgoodthings1 · 28/08/2022 15:57

@bellaolive awww lovely ☺️ Congratulations! What age is your son and how long have you been trying if you don’t mind me asking?

@anotherpotoftea that was the same as me last time! A short cycle is bound to be a good thing for the sake of being able to get the disappointment out the way and onto the next cycle if you’re not successful

bellaolive · 28/08/2022 18:05

Thank you so much! @anotherpotoftea @Allgoodthings1

My son has just turned 3 - I only had my coil removed in June so feel very grateful!

Sending lots of baby dust everyone's way β™₯️

Allgoodthings1 · 28/08/2022 20:48

@bellaolive wow that’s quick πŸ˜…

Allgoodthings1 · 28/08/2022 20:50

just thinking how much of a good month it would be to get pregnant as if we get pregnant before the start of October we would be 12 weeks or thereabouts by Christmas 😊 I hated being pregnant a few Christmas’ ago and not being able to drink but not being able to tell anyone so just spent the whole night hoping no one would notice. Would love if it was the end of next month for that reason πŸ˜…

bellaolive · 28/08/2022 21:16

@Allgoodthings1 I know! Almost feels too good to be true but will keep positive that all is meant to be β™₯️

FieldView · 28/08/2022 22:24

Huge congratulations @bellaolive!! Any tips for the rest of us? Grin

bellaolive · 28/08/2022 22:34

@FieldView thank you! 😊

Unlikely to be anything you haven't already heard but I track ovulation (I use the cb advanced sticks as takes the guess work out of everything!), DTD as much as possible on the high and peak days and I've also been taking the Pregnacare pre-conception vitamins.

Sending baby dust your way β™₯️

FieldView · 28/08/2022 23:36

Hmm, i might dust off my cb ovulation kit for next month then...

BFN for me today (which was sort of intentional) so just waiting for AF to make an appearance in the next few days. Then can get back to bd-ing again over the next few months!

Good luck to all who are yet to test this cycle!

NSx · 29/08/2022 09:35

Good morning ladies πŸ’•
waiting on AF this week so just moved over from May thread - as I have no symptoms so won’t be testing .. as I know my body and I’m defo not preg.
Onto the next cycle ✨
hope you all had a lovely wkend πŸ’•

Noggiepie92 · 29/08/2022 10:12

Hi everyone,
Mind if I hop on this thread? I absolutely love these threads and have been following along for a while like a stalker Grin
I'm 30, TTC #1 for 5 years (not solidly) we started trying after we got married but after 2 years I was mentally drained and had to stop tracking. I had never received a positive OPK before either.
Last month we decided to go all out once again and started using CB OPKs and finally started getting my high and peak results which was amazing!
Currently in FW and I need a group to help me not go crazy with all this again lol!
Fun fact: my husbands family lived next door to my family when we got together. He was literally my boot next door!

Noggiepie92 · 29/08/2022 10:13

*boy next door Confused

BiscuitLover3678 · 29/08/2022 10:20

Thank you for the facts and thank you for creating the June thread! Normally I do it but I’m technically still on end of May baby 🀣 we’ve been extra busy lately which is why I haven’t been on these threads and I’ve sort of given up with the whole thing!

Cycle 11 though and June is a lovely time of year so here’s hoping.

Good luck everyone!

BiscuitLover3678 · 29/08/2022 10:21

Also noticing so many people aren’t on here anymore which I’m very happy for ❀️ But makes me a bit sad I’m still here!

lovely to see some new names though

Aardbeien · 29/08/2022 11:55

When do people start testing if they don't know when AF is due? We've been trying so much this cycle, I have my hopes up!

Mummyme87 · 29/08/2022 12:34

@BiscuitLover3678 yeah I know that feeling, although it’s lovely people are getting their BFP, it’s sad to be left behind.

I’ve bought new vitamins today, going with good old pregnacare this time

NSx · 29/08/2022 13:14

@Mummyme87 im doing Pregnacare 🀞✨ have been doing it the last 3 weeks and will continue for the next month …
not doubt SMEP because I tried twice and both didn’t work. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜…

EdinburghGirl1 · 29/08/2022 13:26

@bellaolive that's a great line. Congratulations

@anotherpotoftea I have short cycles and definitely prefer it for ttc. Last month was 25 days and I'm currently CD24 expert ting AF Wednesday probably.

@Mummyme87 I'm on pregnacare too and have just started taking COQ10 yesterday which is meant to be good for egg quality. I also have a reflexology appointment booked for just before ovulation next cycle.

Hoping this is going to be a lucky thread

NSx · 29/08/2022 13:28

@EdinburghGirl1 i read that the Pregnacare has C0Q10 in it already? are u taking extra ?

EdinburghGirl1 · 29/08/2022 13:38

@NSx yes it does but yup decided to take extra so I have a higher dose as think it only has 20mg in it
