Hi everyone ☺️

I am a bit eager with this thread, I've just started my dreaded period (feel a little glum to be honest!) and I have been ovulating quite late, so if by a miracle I am successful this month I would be due end of may/early June. I have been dipping in and out of these threads and found them fantastic support so I hope you don't mind me carrying on the trend!

I am going into cycle 4, I am 31 and were trying for our first πŸ‘ΆπŸ»I suffered a chemical pregnancy recently and I feel SO ready to become pregnant, I want this so badly, as I am sure you all do too!

I was trawling through some old threads and found these facts that I found useful , feel free to read if you like πŸ˜™

  1. 80% of couples having regular sex (2/3 times a week) with no issues will fall pregnant in a year.
  2. 90% of couples having regular sex with no issues will fall pregnant in two years.
3.Each cycle you have approx 20% chance of falling pregnant. 4.The egg only lives for 24 hours so very small window to fertilise it 5.Decent sperm can live up to 5 days inside you so good to have sex before you think you ovulate as well as after. 6.If using ovulation testing the test picks up on Lh surge which often happens after the egg has been released. 7.Most NHS CCG will not investigate fertility problems until you have been having regular unprotected sex for over a year and some places insists for two years. 8.If you track your Basel body temperature it can give you a good indication of when you ovulate to get to know your cycles.
  1. Some types of lube can damage sperm be careful what you are using. (We are using preseed but using it like normal lube, not inserting it prior!)

Wishing you all the luck in world for this cycle 🀞🀞🀞🀞🀞

Also I'm only CD10, is that normal? πŸ€”

NSx · 21/09/2022 16:24

@Glawen πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ what happened ? i use it all the time πŸ˜‚πŸ˜… once you’ve got the hang of it it’s pretty straight forward I feel πŸ˜…πŸ˜‚

Glawen · 21/09/2022 16:26

@NSx it wouldn't fuggin' fit in 🀣🀣🀣🀣 I was in all shapes but it just wasn't happening. The ridge is bloody hard isn't it?! Jeepers!!! Put hairs on my chest that 🀣🀣 do you do it stood or lying down? πŸ˜…

NSx · 21/09/2022 16:35

@Glawen πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ you just turn it inside out and kinda bend it in πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ push it with ur fingers πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ normally lying down with pillow under hips - once you get the hang of it it’s ok, just takes time to figure it out πŸ˜„πŸ˜‚ I’m laughing out loud here πŸ˜πŸ˜†

Glawen · 21/09/2022 16:39

@NSx I'm laughing with watery eyes πŸ˜…πŸ€£ my husband was like "if you're making a noise like that, somethings not right" 🀣🀣🀣 it was cutting me I'm sure 🀣 FML!!!! I'll try that again with a pillow. If I'm not too swollen 🀣🀣🀣🀣🀣🀣

NSx · 21/09/2022 17:16

@Glawen use some preseed on it! Helps it slide in easier 🀞✨ πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ hope ur ok πŸ₯Ή

Glawen · 21/09/2022 17:28

@NSx I'll muster up the courage to try it again 🀣🀣 thank you! I'm so confused by my cycles, getting worried they're messed up.. do you know if 10-11 dpo is early to ovulate? πŸ€” How many cycles into TTC are you? Glad ive given you a laugh today πŸ€ͺ xx

NSx · 21/09/2022 17:40

@Glawen what do you mean confused? On average you go by a 28 day cycle day 14 you ovulate giving you a 14 day long luteal phase - but not everyone’s cycles are so standard. For example I ovulated cd15 I think this month, so will probably have a 29 day cycle as my LP is around 14 days normally - it varies person to person, how long are your cycles normally?

ChloeN · 21/09/2022 17:57

@Glawen i think the static smiley on the clearblue means you’ll ovulate within the next day or so! So if you’re cd 11 you’ll likely ovulate on day 12/13 which I wouldn’t say is really early! Xx

Sparklythings1 · 21/09/2022 18:07

@Glawen lol 🀣🀣 static smiley means you’ll ovulate in 24-48 hours although I read that most women are 24 rather than 48! I prefer the cheap ovulation tests or to use them alongside the clearblue one as it can jump so much or you can miss it during the day and it’s the following morning by the time you know

Morning πŸ‘‹πŸΌ

7dpo today and I caved and tested. I was having cramps (like full on period cramps) yesterday and all through the night in my stomach and lower back (poss implantation?) so curiosity got the better of me and I used a really cheap test this morning which was all I had.. I can see a really faint line but my partner couldn’t. I totally know it can be an evap line, I just wanted to know if others can see it or I’m going mad!?

Going to order a FRER and do it on Friday morning I think x

This looks like a very faint positive but I will warn you I’ve had really really bad evaps with tesco tests that looked just look that. They were a few months ago though and they seem to have changed the tests now as the ones I took had a blue strip not green.

7dpo is still extremely early though! I got an indent line that I thought was a vvvfl at 7dpo, completely negative at 8dpo then very clear positive at 9dpo so could definitely still be your month even if it is an evap

HopingForBaby2 · 21/09/2022 20:12

@Veryxonfused thank you for replying, I'm also thinking it's an indent. I've got some frers on the way so hopefully I will get a clear answer in the next few days but I've also read about indents on those too!? Do you have any idea what the most reliable tests are? It's making me nervous to test!

NSx · 21/09/2022 20:30

@HopingForBaby2 i had indents on frers before 😩😩😩 on 2 once - same batch must have been faulty πŸ˜…

BethSuz27 · 21/09/2022 20:33

CD29, period is 5-6 days late, 18dpo, had a bfn yesterday (Thought it may be very very faint but not sure), still no AF though

had several times today where I thought she had arrived and just had a lot of cm (sorry tmi) and had weird tugging like cramps that comes for 10 minutes or so and then go, not typical for me at all… and very sensitive nipples last few days

has anyone been in a similar situation?

not sure what’s going on, hopefully I just ovulated late and still awaiting a BFP… planning to test tomorrow

Glawen · 21/09/2022 21:12

@NSx @Sparklythings1 @ChloeN sorry - I said dpo don't know why, I'm still twitching from the Lily 🀣 Umm so I am CD10 today and got the static smiley straight from a empty circle/low reading yesterday. My cycles are usually 26/27 days but last month was 25 days. Suuuuuuuper confused. I only brought the CB opk along with me so can't double check with the cheaper ones. Never thought it would all be this complex 😬😬 xx

Sparklythings1 · 21/09/2022 21:22

@Glawen if in doubt dtd every second night at least anyway then you’ll be fine πŸ™ˆ

Glawen · 21/09/2022 23:06

@Sparklythings1 may go every day from here on in πŸ₯΄ think I'll still be ok?!

Sparklythings1 · 21/09/2022 23:18

@Glawen yeah if you’re still that early in your cycle I would doubt if you’ve already missed it!

Mummyme87 · 22/09/2022 06:14

@Glawen i got a static first day also at like CD9, my opk didn’t peak for another couple of days though. Seems okay since and get a few flashing days now

Mummyme87 · 22/09/2022 06:57

13dpo and very confident it was a bfn. A possible evap but that’s it. Af due today

Babydust99 · 22/09/2022 07:45

@Wrenegade yes it is. Yeah I usually ovulate around cd 12-15. Wbu?

ExcitedandNervousC1 · 22/09/2022 08:24

Hey ladies, I finally got my static smiley yesterday But wanted to give this group a heads up that the FMU (as instructed with clearblue) was flashing and then out of desperation I did it again that evening and static so I don't think FMU is needed and even though it says once per day If you feel you're super close, you can do it twice.

Dtd again last night and hoping again tonight and tomorrow (trying SMEP)

WannabeMum22 · 22/09/2022 08:32

This morning I woke up at 13/14dpo and waited for my DH to wake up to take a test. I was so confident it would be a no that I actually prepped my period products ready so that when I got the negative I wouldn't mope too much. I took the test then got my DH to come open them with me so he could console me and we got the shock of our lives. I can't believe it! I'm pregnant. This month would have been so lonely if I didn't have this thread to check in with and write on. Thank you so much everyone! I know it's still so early so who knows what will happen, but at least I know there's such a kind supportive community on here no matter what 😊. I hope my lines are okay!

4 weeks pregnant today and had brown spotting this morning. I had this with my last pregnancy and it was a MMC
I feel like crying

FieldView · 22/09/2022 08:39

Congratulations @WannabeMum22!! They look like good lines to me!

Would you mind giving a recap of what you did this month? I got a bfn this morning (admittedly I'm only 10dpo, but it was a clear blue early result test, so could have picked something up) - I'm mentally setting myself for next cycle!
