Hi everyone ☺️

I am a bit eager with this thread, I've just started my dreaded period (feel a little glum to be honest!) and I have been ovulating quite late, so if by a miracle I am successful this month I would be due end of may/early June. I have been dipping in and out of these threads and found them fantastic support so I hope you don't mind me carrying on the trend!

I am going into cycle 4, I am 31 and were trying for our first πŸ‘ΆπŸ»I suffered a chemical pregnancy recently and I feel SO ready to become pregnant, I want this so badly, as I am sure you all do too!

I was trawling through some old threads and found these facts that I found useful , feel free to read if you like πŸ˜™

  1. 80% of couples having regular sex (2/3 times a week) with no issues will fall pregnant in a year.
  2. 90% of couples having regular sex with no issues will fall pregnant in two years.
3.Each cycle you have approx 20% chance of falling pregnant. 4.The egg only lives for 24 hours so very small window to fertilise it 5.Decent sperm can live up to 5 days inside you so good to have sex before you think you ovulate as well as after. 6.If using ovulation testing the test picks up on Lh surge which often happens after the egg has been released. 7.Most NHS CCG will not investigate fertility problems until you have been having regular unprotected sex for over a year and some places insists for two years. 8.If you track your Basel body temperature it can give you a good indication of when you ovulate to get to know your cycles.
  1. Some types of lube can damage sperm be careful what you are using. (We are using preseed but using it like normal lube, not inserting it prior!)

Wishing you all the luck in world for this cycle 🀞🀞🀞🀞🀞

@HopingForBaby2 hopefully not- when did you ovulate do you know? I’m also 8dpo ✨ sending baby dust

HopingForBaby2 · 21/09/2022 10:06

@NSx I'm only 7dpo so very very very early to be testing I know! I've done some more googling and lots of posts/reviews about them giving fake positives which is a bit gutting! Best of luck to you this cycle - have you had any symptoms as yet?

Wrenegade · 21/09/2022 11:23

@Babydust99 it is nice to have a cycle buddy, particularly ovulating at the end of the month. I also ovulated at the very start of the month, but at CD11 instead of the predicted CD14. Planning to start DTD in two days just incase ovulation is early. Is your ovulation date quite regular?

buttercupbee · 21/09/2022 11:26

@LavenderWillow I’m 6DPO too, have you noticed any symptoms? I keep thinking I’m getting cramps/bloating but pretty sure I’m just imagining it πŸ™ˆ

Blossomhoney · 21/09/2022 11:31

Congratulations @Blossomhoney!

FieldView · 21/09/2022 11:56

How many dpo are you? x

My boobs are a bit tender, but that usually happens before my period - I just can't remember how close to AF date they start getting sore! That's why i'm writing it down this month! πŸ˜‚

I've also felt like i need to pee more but also just think that's in my head as I read it as a symptom! A bit of bloating and twinges but I'm also just off a plane and that always takes a couple of days for my stomach to settle!

I feel like I need to look back in the may thread and see if I mentioned any symptoms!

Mannymoomin · 21/09/2022 12:17

@Blossomhoney congratulations!
how many dpo are you?

TTCn2 · 21/09/2022 12:23

Congratulations @Blossomhoney!
I'm still waiting for my usual pre period symptoms to start (which are very similar to strong pregnancy symptoms) and they haven't yet - 10dpo, cd 23 so still time for them to arrive, but lack of them is feeling different.
Some differences this month though....has anyone had sharp ovulation type pains, after ovulation, throughout tww and been pregnant?

Blossomhoney · 21/09/2022 12:32

Thank you
this month I decided not to do ovulation tests as dp was going to be away for a couple of days and I thought knowing my luck I would ovulate while he was away so would feel down about it.
My af was due today and I had a test in the drawer and just decided to take it

buttercupbee · 21/09/2022 12:43

@LavenderWillow I’m the same, I drink a lot of water anyway so I’ve always needed to pee a lot! Also have sore boobs but thinking that could be AF on the way.

It’s our first month trying so I don’t have anything to compare it to but I like the idea of writing it down to look back on!

Sparklythings1 · 21/09/2022 12:55

@bubble55 @FieldView yes I think it’s on average 2 weeks less than what you actually would be due to it being since conception rather than last period, I suppose that must be because they can’t say 4 weeks or whatever if they don’t know when your last period was.. so you can kind of ignore the weeks but it’s just nice to see it progress

Sparklythings1 · 21/09/2022 12:59

@Blossomhoney have you told him yet? ☺️

Sparklythings1 · 21/09/2022 13:02

Other than the three months when I was ttc last time, I’ve pretty much been on the pill since I was 18 or something so I never feel like I know what my normal symptoms are when AF is due. I’ve had really quite bad cramps this morning and quite a bit of that pinching kind of feeling, which is what I had when I was pregnant last time but also nothing else to go on as I’m never not on the pill πŸ™ˆ it’s just making me imagine that I must be pregnant when I could end up with AF in a few days

ChloeN · 21/09/2022 13:11

@Sparklythings1 ive been off the pill 2 years and still can’t remember if I get cramps every month or this is something different 🀣

Blossomhoney · 21/09/2022 13:16

@Sparklythings1 nope I’ve not told him yet, I bought a little sleep suit awhile ago so I’ve put the test in it and in a bag which I plan to give him later!
i can’t believe it!

Blossomhoney · 21/09/2022 13:18

Just to add I thought I was due on as I’m needing to wee a lot which I always get before my period is due!

Mummyme87 · 21/09/2022 14:38

@Blossomhoney congratulations!

I debated buying a frer just to double check it was definitely a bfn, but refrained and will just use my last cheapie tomorrow and wait out AF

Blossomhoney · 21/09/2022 15:50

@Mummyme87 thank you, you never know your af might not turn up

Glawen · 21/09/2022 16:11

Hi everyone! Hope you're all well. I've not caught up on messages for a while. On honeymoon now and praying for a miracle from it.

I've changed to the clearblue OPKs now and went from a low reading yesterday to a solid smiley face today. Only today we DTD (it's earlier than usual). Is smiley ovulating in next 24-48 hours? Or have I ovulated and missed the window? Just want to be sure.

I've done BBT, that's been stead really and risen slightly from 36.12 to 36.30 today.

Also god help me, I tried the ferti Lily cup - Good grief!!!!!!!!!! Not a change that was working for me 😱😱😱 Hats off to anyone successful at using that bad boy!! 🀣
