Hi all, I have figured out how to create a thread on Mumsnet and here goes... my first one.

This is a continuation of the two (!) full Jan threads so far this month - we're a chatty bunch and happy to welcome new folks. There'll probably be a February thread starting up soon too.

Will tag everyone I can see below... please join if I missed you!

So many BFPs!
My temp went up again today, but I woke up at 4am to pee, again, two days in a row.
Ah well. I'll guess I'll just have to see if AF comes on the 20th

Shortmamashortcycles · 12/01/2022 18:46

@RMS0209, welcome and good luck! What's your plan - wait for AF or do you have a DPO testing date?

@noclueTTC, ooh that sounds promising... if you're 12DPO I'd recommend getting a First Response Early Result test - referred to here as FRER. They detect HCG, the pregnancy hormone, at a much lower level than many other tests. Usually testing with first morning wee (FMU) is best as it makes your wee, and therefore the hormone, more concentrated, but some folks get good results in the afternoon after a "hold" (i.e. not having a wee for a few hours).

Hope you don't have to get more expert on the terms because you get a nice clear positive and head off to the Pregnancy forum! 🤞🤞

Checking in! The other thread moved so fast was hard to keep up. Congrats to all those that got your BFP - 🤞🏻 for sticky beans!

I'm currently in my TWW and I hate this part! Can't help but read into every little thing. Have a bit of weird cramping. And one boob has gotten way bigger than the other. I can't really remember anything when I was TTC #1 - just that I "felt" pregnant before I tested

Shortmamashortcycles · 12/01/2022 18:54

@saltedcaramelanything, welcome! Sorry to be adding to the speed of this thread - I'm distracting myself from my own TWW by thinking about you lovely lot.

My only consistent BFP symptom has been feeling absolutely cream crackered from about 8DPO, but now I'm a mum, I'm always tired... so I'm trying to ignore everything my body does for another week. I spend the run-up to ovulation totally focused on what's going on and now madly trying to ignore it. (And failing.)

RMS0209 · 12/01/2022 18:57

Thank you for welcoming me! I got my peak CB on Sunday. So the TWW begins.
How about you? How are you feeling? X

mightbeyesmightbeno · 12/01/2022 19:05

Checking in!

chasingtherainbow1 · 12/01/2022 19:11

I'm checking in because I feel like I'll be back here at some point. No faith in a normal pregnancy! And I want to see how everyone gets on x

mightbeyesmightbeno · 12/01/2022 19:13

@chasingtherainbow1 and we want to see how you get on!!

I'm sitting here feeling like there is a sorely no chance for me this month. I'm going to try and hold out to Friday when I'll be 11dPO

HMFx · 12/01/2022 19:23

Checking in too!
4dpo over here and trying not to symptom spot! I've got an awful cold so feeling pretty rubbish anyway.
Fingers crossed for us all in the TWW 🙏🏼

madeleine85 · 12/01/2022 19:25

@Bringonbaby3 fingers crossed for you. Mine were a bit all over the place until 15 DPO. I remember bawling on my husband around 13 DPO about it. I think the early ones just can take time as hormone levels are quite low, they are also very inconsistent in their readings.

@Shortmamashortcycles thanks for setting this up, i'll continue to follow along for now if ok. It is honestly just really nice to see everyone's journeys.

I just had the first scan, and there was a wee heartbeat on the screen, I heard it briefly too, but things were at a weird angle so not very clear. They measured me at 6 weeks 4 days, but then calculated from last period said I am 7 weeks 1 day. I think 6 weeks is about right though as I ovulate pretty late in my cycle. I feel like I can breathe a little bit even though it is very early, and anything can happen. Have to say a huge thanks to everyone on MN for all the advice. When starting TTC back in October I was clueless and I really think a lot of the advice from this community helped get there, you're all wonderful and I hope you all get your BFP very soon. x

@madeleine85 congrats on your scan! I really pray I’m in your position in a few more weeks.

Thanks for the insight, gives me some hope. I think I’m about 12/13 dpo and period due this weekend so hopefully after that the lines will start getting darker. I’m super paranoid about another chemical though.

Shortmamashortcycles · 12/01/2022 19:34

Ah welcome all - and for those with BFPs you're more than welcome to stick around, I think we're all quite invested in your little beans!

@madeleine85, hooray for your scan going well. Each one is a little step closer to being able to relax. Hopefully the same will go for you @chasingtherainbow1.

@HMFx, I'm possibly 4DPO (no idea, weird cycle, didn't OPK and my cm is doing odd things) so will wait it out with you. Hope you feel better soon! Having a cold in January is just extra rubbish, I feel.

We really are so happy for you @madeleine85 and wish you a healthy and happy pregnancy 🎉❤️

Natalie2304 · 12/01/2022 19:39

Has anyone ever done or heard about seed cycling? My friend has recommended it to me and said the first month she did it she fell pregnant

RegeJeanPageMeOnMyCellphone · 12/01/2022 19:39

Hi just joining! I’m 8dpo and hoping we timed everything right this month. I had period pain/cramps at 5dpo and hoping that was some implantation action!

SkaterChick · 12/01/2022 19:41

Hey everyone, checking in too. It's still super early days for me and I'm mega anxious after my previous loss so not quite ready to leave yet!

ladybuggoldfinch · 12/01/2022 19:41

Hi 👋 hope you don't mind an old girl joining. I am 40 and TTC number 2. I have a 2 year old. It's not been a smooth journey with 3 MC in the last year! I still have a bit of faith left in me yet though. Currently on CD 6 so may well not qualify for a Jan BFP but we will see. 2022 has got to be the year luck changes Brew

TiredbutTrying41 · 12/01/2022 19:50

Hi. Another old girl here. 41 on Friday and TTC no 2. Currently 9 DPO. DH taking me away Saturday night for my birthday so going to test Saturday am (so will be 12DPO) I had covid this month so only managed to DTD 2 days before ovulation so not feeling too hopeful.

Moonshine160 · 12/01/2022 19:52

Hi again everyone!

@madeleine85 I’m so so glad the scan went well Flowers

April601stbaby · 12/01/2022 19:56

Also staying and checking in. Hoping for a BFP by this time next week.

Congratulations to all those with their BFP’s already, and cheering with positivity for those still trying and waiting.

BabyBird20 · 12/01/2022 19:56

Hi all, checking back in after a couple of days off due to crazy working days! The last thread filled so fast, it really helps keep me sane in the tww reading everyone else's experiences too.

@Shortmamashortcycles and @HMFx I am 4dpo today too and already going slightly mad trying not to symptom spot. I've realised after my last couple of cycles that I get slight nausea and sore boobs post ovulation even when not pregnant which really isn't helpful! Hmm when are you both going to test?

Tinkerbell098 · 12/01/2022 19:59

@Shortmamashortcycles thanks for creating the new thread and thanks for the tag.

@madeleine85 glad the scan went ok and good luck with the rest of the pregnancy xx

1yearTTC · 12/01/2022 20:00

I've joined! Didn't add much to the last group but look at all your posts everyday. Makes me feel like I'm not alone. Also enjoy seeing everyone's BFP's!
I'm CD25, 9DPO
I think I've officially gone crazy. I spent my lunch today looking at old tests I've done the last few days to see if any lines appeared later. Wow 🙈

Tinkerbell098 · 12/01/2022 20:00

@Natalie2304 I’m interested to hear about seed cycling. Never heard of it before!
